The room was reasonably sized. The location is amazing if you are traveling from/to St. Pancras which was one of the main reasons I booked this place. The hotel is extremely clean and has a certain historic appeal to it. The best part of the stay was definitely the breakfast. It's a la carte but the options are plentiful and very tasty.

I am not a fan of the inability to close doors of a bathroom. In this case the doors were sliding and since I was staying with a friend it made using the bathroom a slightly uncomfortable experience.

Location to St Pancras was brilliant. Room lovely

Room was really only a single and not double. Bed against the wall so inside person had to clamber over the other to go to the loo!

Character rooms with furniture in keeping with the age of the hotel. Quality bedding, furniture, linen etc. Little pantry at the end of the hallway for making tea, coffee etc and bonus fruit and cakes for a snack. Excellent location for St Pancras and Kings Cross

Room was clean, comfortable, with sufficient amenities. I arrived on a hot, humid day (for London) and the air conditioning as a god send. Location was excellent, very easy to get around the city/back to Heathrow with Kings Cross Station and underground right there. Also lots of shops conveniently located nearby, since it was attached to the train station.

I did not like that I was charged £100 more than my booking without it being explained on checking in that it was for extras and would not be charged should we not use it. Check in was not smooth. The pantry was not well stocked.

Pricey but it is London! Vegetarian English had a slightly Turkish slant which challenged my taste buds!!!

Location is great with KX now full of shops and restaurants. The building is purpose built for a hotel, not some conversion like across the road at St Pancras. So pleasingly wide corridors and stairs and windows in the room that you can open.

Great location right on the Station. Breakfast was fantastic! Some staff very good too.

Check in was poor, and lots of non residents in the downstairs areas due the proximity to Kings Cross Station. Cases EVERYWHERE! First room was very small considering the price of the Hotel. Some staff, extremely poor.

We loved the architecture, the very clever restoration and design of the rooms within the original building. It had a wonderful feel about it.

Rooms are spacious, clean and the facilities were ok. The price is higher than the offered facilities. We've just booked it for the proximity of St. Pancras International train station.

There's an evil "eye", an everlit bright spot at the bathroom, which prevents the guests to sleep comfortably. We've called it The Eye of Sauron. There was no visible way to turn it off. Plus: the bathroom doors are made of glass, which means ZERO privacy.

The hotel facilities were fantastic and the location was perfect. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again.

Fabulous location, fabulous cocktails on the outside terrace. Very comfortable room.

Shower was hit and miss temperature wise.

Rails wasn't as good as we had hoped. Pricey and limited menu. Room bathroom needed more space to put stuff. Towels were changed everyday, wasn't a way to save the environment.

All staff were very helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Will be staying again in a few weeks

Good location if you’re arriving or departing by train, can’t really get much closer to the train station or underground. Nicely modernised heritage building, tastefully done. Breakfast was served in the lovely Rails restaurant, all cooked on demand and served to your table.

Not quite sure what happened - but at check in we were advised they could only assign us accessible (i.e. for wheelchair users) rooms, and as a result we were split across rooms on different floors. Not the end of the world, just had to be aware of the emergency pull cords around the room and the open/wet bathroom. But this was our last hotel stay in a multi week holiday, and we had splashed out a bit to stay here for our final night in the UK, so a bit disappointing to feel like our booking had slipped through the cracks.

The room ( couchette) was even smaller than I expected and really too small for a couple. No in room tea and coffee because of size constraints though there was a pantry down the hall. You could only get into the bed from one side ( against the window on the other) The room was advertised as reminiscent of railway travel but I was still surprised by the reality. The location was fantastic but really only suitable for one person

Incredibly flexible and understanding management, I had a mishap a few days before travel and had to cancel my trip, after explaining my situation the hotel staff allowed my daughter to stay with a friend instead of me. Very grateful for how they handled the situation, involving unforseen medical circumstances which can happen to anyone. With special thanks to Peninah, who patiently heard about my entire medical ordeal, and then very efficiently helped me find a fair solution.

Room was on the small size.

There could have been better communication with the front desk and the Restaurant regarding that Breakfast was included with the booking. The situation created confusion but the situation got resolved.
