Our visit was to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and they made it extra special by upgrading us to a suite, there were balloons, a cake & a gift which was so thoughtful and we really appreciated this gesture!

The service at Claridge’s cannot be beat! The hallmark of this hotel is attentive and personalized service. From afternoon tea, to a martini at the bar, to breakfast at Claridge’s restaurant, the staff makes you feel like royalty. The room was also quite big for this part of town. It was very comfortable.

The large construction project across the street likely means that for the time being, the immediate area has plenty of noise, difficult-to-navigate sidewalks, and irregular traffic. While there are lovely restaurants and bars inside the property, it would also be nice if there a was a lounge or quiet lobby for guests only. We found the lobby hard to enjoy with so many people walking through - presumably many just to have tea or eat at one of the restaurants.

Great location. Great welcome, staff always polite and helpful. Room was a good size with good technology. Nice rainfall shower and standalone bath. Bed and linen very comfortable. Swimming pool small but not busy. Sauna and steamroom good.

Obviously it's expensive but you can always choose to go elsewhere.

Fantastic attentive and friendly staff. The concierge was very helpful. Good breakfast.

The electronic toilets are quite noisy.

There was nothing i can fault

Wonderful staff for the most part - Extra special recognition of excellent service from Max and Connor on the front desk, Phil the doorman, Robert on room service, and Lorraine and Lika in the restaurant. Max was incredibly welcoming and anticipatory of our needs on our arrival. Sadly the pool wasn't available as maintenance works had been extended, but the team arranged for us to use the nearby Connaught"s facilities (regrettably their service and facilities weren't great to be truthful). We also brought our 4mo. baby and our room included items for her too. There's a family-friendly hotel, but this was family-INCLUSIVE with baby wipes, baby bath towel, baby toiletries and the like. Really lovely touch to have.

Disappointed that pool maintenance works were extended, as mentioned previously.

Absolutely nothing we did not like

The wonderful staff, the beautiful decor and the quiet calm I feel whenever I stay there. If I want a vibrant atmosphere, the bars and restaurants are all fabulous.

The bars do get very busy so you often have to book to get in, but it lends to the buzzing atmosphere.

The staff, the meals, attentiveness was all outstanding. Nigel & Christof in concierge, Mr Cibilka in the restaurant George in the main bar and restaurant staff were all very attentive. The men and women who attended the room each day and the doormen were always extremely helpful.

The hotel is a good size that allows for a more personal touch. All of the staff in the hotel were excellent, polite ,friendly, helpful nothing was too match trouble.

My only small criticism, there is nothing to let the staff know that they can clean the room. We came back to our room and 3.30pm and our room had not been cleaned, we had to make a call twice to get the room cleaned

Our room’s decor and amenities were superb. The spa treatments we had were very good, as were the in-room and restaurant dining experiences. The front desk check-in staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The lobby area was often quite crowded and when we arrived we had to navigate through crowds of visitors with all our luggage, but then it is a historic building so we understand the difficulties of hosting so many people in it.

I have visited Claridges every Christmas for the past 5 years and it takes my breath away every time. I absolutely love it. This years Christmas tree was spectacular. Back to traditional with a twist. It was beautiful.

They now have coffee machines in the rooms which is great but no cream or milk. I’d really love tea making facilities.

A fabulous experience. Excellent location and surroundings and attentive but not obtrusive staff. Beautifully appointed room with en- suite bath and shower room. Restaurant and bar areas were intimate and decorated for Christmas during our stay. Unforgettable anniversary celebration.

Having to leave !

What more can I say. The excellent service began before we even arrived at the hotel. Responses to questions from Concierge, Reception and Management were always prompt and professional. Every single staff member at the hotel provided outstanding service, nothing was ever too much trouble, from Hugh in Claridge’s Restaurant who was more than willing to go above and beyond in the preparation of sister’s unique coffee (extra hot, honey & lemon slices on the side). To Bob, one of the excellent doormen on duty – who was always ready to assist and provided valuable advice. To Concierge Nigel who was able to complete a number of confirmations on my behalf and answer any myriad of questions. Also, a shout out to Lola in the Foyer & Reading room, a very personable young lady, who we felt already exposes the very obvious Claridge’s values. Then there is Mrs. Pat More who responded on behalf of General Manager Paul (who was on leave during our visit). It is greatly appreciated when people take the time to interact and respond. The hotel itself is absolutely brilliant. The renovations are excellent, blending seamlessly with the old. I really loved our Claridge’s Balcony room. A great space for a very relaxed stay. There was not one aspect of the hotel of our stay that I believe could be enhanced. I have stayed in a number of hotels around the world and Claridge’s now becomes the yardstick against which any & all future hotel stays will be measured. Once again, my heartfelt thanks to Paul and all of the team at Claridge’s, particularly in light of my recent change in circumstances. I believe that this can be attributed to great leadership from the top down.
