Claridge’s Hotel, London

A fabulous experience. Excellent location and surroundings and attentive but not obtrusive staff. Beautifully appointed room with en- suite bath and shower room. Restaurant and bar areas were intimate and decorated for Christmas during our stay. Unforgettable anniversary celebration.

Having to leave !

What more can I say. The excellent service began before we even arrived at the hotel. Responses to questions from Concierge, Reception and Management were always prompt and professional. Every single staff member at the hotel provided outstanding service, nothing was ever too much trouble, from Hugh in Claridge’s Restaurant who was more than willing to go above and beyond in the preparation of sister’s unique coffee (extra hot, honey & lemon slices on the side). To Bob, one of the excellent doormen on duty – who was always ready to assist and provided valuable advice. To Concierge Nigel who was able to complete a number of confirmations on my behalf and answer any myriad of questions. Also, a shout out to Lola in the Foyer & Reading room, a very personable young lady, who we felt already exposes the very obvious Claridge’s values. Then there is Mrs. Pat More who responded on behalf of General Manager Paul (who was on leave during our visit). It is greatly appreciated when people take the time to interact and respond. The hotel itself is absolutely brilliant. The renovations are excellent, blending seamlessly with the old. I really loved our Claridge’s Balcony room. A great space for a very relaxed stay. There was not one aspect of the hotel of our stay that I believe could be enhanced. I have stayed in a number of hotels around the world and Claridge’s now becomes the yardstick against which any & all future hotel stays will be measured. Once again, my heartfelt thanks to Paul and all of the team at Claridge’s, particularly in light of my recent change in circumstances. I believe that this can be attributed to great leadership from the top down.

Staff great and accommodating, a thank you to Chris at Concierge for sorting the cancelling of Scotts and rebooking the next night. Intern Rachel from Ireland served us for breakfast, she was lovely.

A couple of small things in the room annoyed me, the sink plug didn't work properly and got worse as the stay went on , I ended up filling the sink for a wash and couldn't empty it, so left it!! The phone on the right hand side of bed didn't work. Taking a shower was not great, the seal on the door didn't work properly so we ended up with loads of escaped water on the floor!! Would have liked in addition to the rain shower head, a hand held shower head with telescopic bar to adjust the height, the hand held in the shower was at a fixed height which was too high for me! Little things I know, but when you are staying at a 5* hotel (and paying the prices) I expect things to work!!

Perfect, the best in London

Well what do you say? From the moment we arrived, we were greeted like long lost family. The room had been upgraded, we had two complimentary rounds of drinks, the decor was beautiful, staff were exceptionally friendly but not to the point where you thought they were just after a tip. We ate in the restaurant on the second evening. The food and service were wonderful. If someone came along and said you can go back to any one of the holidays you've had, I'm come back here.

The staff were incredible! Everyone as so warm and so willing to help and really went above and beyond to make the night before/morning of my wedding day extra special!

The new rooms on the mezzanine are not true to claridges.

The Claridge staff made our stay outstanding by providing constant attention and care. We appreciated not having to sign bills and how the staff remembered details of our likes and dislikes and even orders throughout our stay.

Slow elevators - often taken up by Valet with many suitcases. A separate elevator for them would have been ideal. I would recommend the valet allows the guests go first and not enter the elevators with large loads. The elevator wait was too long.

Room was beautiful but price felt excessive at 1400 per night vs standard rooms. The balcony is a lovely addition but likely not worth the extra money. The spa was a let down. Pool was small and could have been warmer. Its not a lane pool at that size so it should be warmer. The sauna and steam rooms being in the changing rooms is bonkers. That means you cant do that with a partner. Also the addition of a hot tub would be nice.

Everything about this hotel is amazing, the staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble if you need anything.

What's not to like... The most amazing hotel in London, stayed recently for two nights with my partner for her birthday, from the moment I stepped out my car and was greeted by Steve and Craig our little break had started, they took care of everything for us, I must add there great at there job and real good fun to be around. The Claridge’s team made our stay simply amazing, A big thank you to Tayhab from reception that showed us to our room and topped it off with a complimentary glass of champagne for my partner and I, a true gent. Claudia & Francisco from guest relations thank you for sorting balloons and gifts for my partners birthday and making it so special for her and last but not least Paul that works within the security team it was almost a shame he was at work as I could have spoke to him for hours, he's one of the nicest fellas iv ever spoke with, hope to see you all very soon. Thank you Claridge’s You really are No 1

It stated on booking.com all taxes and charges were in the price I paid £1500 for two nights but was charged £1667 at the end of my stay £167 was added for service charge
