The Arosfa Hotel, London

Convenient location, a short walk from Goodge Street tube station. Cosy room with reasonably comfortable beds. Great staff - really helpful. Quite a compact hotel - three or four floors of a town house. Lovely to see art on the walls of the stairwell. The cooked breakfast was very good.

There was only one key available for our room (although this was because previous occupants had not returned both keys). One of the beds in our room was a bit wobbly. There were a couple of minor cosmetic issues, e.g. a hole in the ceiling. The wooden coffee stirrers were not as good as spoons, and flicked hot coffee at me instead of stirring the coffee properly.

A lovely place to stay in London. The room was small, but comfy, it had everything I needed. I can assume that the place is run (or designed) by a woman (if it's not, no offence please 😀). Because every little thing is in its place: the night stand, the lamps, the fans (as the old historic building has no air conditioning), the shelves and hangers. It even has a European socket. The hairdryer is a full-size one (not a usual hotel one) and has a long cord. Anyone with long hair and hotel experience will appreciate it. The bathroom also has shelves where you can conveniently place your personal stuff, so you don't have to put your shampoo and hairbrush on the floor (IYKYK). The shower system is new, modern and incredibly comfortable, I love it. As well as the shiny tiles. The main thing is that it was completely quiet at night, so I slept amazing without earplugs. It's incredible when you wake up early in the morning in the centre of London, make coffee, open the window and hear birds singing.

Of course, it would be great to freshen up the walls and the bed, but it's still a great place for a good price for central London. The bed is double, but the room may not be big enough for two people. On warm September days, the room was a bit stuffy during the day, so please note that it can be hot in summer.

We booked a double room with separate beds. The hotel is very central for foot walks and underground nearby. It is a very quiet hotel and even for a busy road, we had good night sleeps. Although I also mention negative points, I was very happy with this hotel and would book it again. Staff incredibly helpful when we forgot something in the room at checkout and only realised it later.

The room is extremely small, we were lucky to only have 2 cabin bags, otherwise no idea how we could have fit 2 normal sized suitcases anywhere to open them. No a/c, there were 3 ventilators running and still very hot in the room, also you had to decide if you need space on the bedside table for your stuff or for the ventilator. No elevator, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, so very difficult for people with physical limitations.

This hotel is perfectly located a walk away from Oxford Street, Soho, the British Musem but also shops, cafes, restaurants and metro lines. Very clean and in general a lovely place to stay.

If I’m to find a flaw, the room was really tiny for two people. But being away all day and using it only to spend the night, it’s ok.

Great location close to Euston and Tube stations. Clean and well maintained room. Helpful and friendly staff (special mention for Oliver).

Great location

Location, 10 mins from the theatre Lovely bookshop across the road. Windows opened and there was a ceiling fan so not stifling. Welcoming and friendly receptionist. Nice bathroom/ shower. They stored our luggage for a few hours on our last day.

The room was very small.

A one star property in terms of service with no luggage storage and strict checkout times. Our double room was tiny at 110 square feet (much smaller than a cruise ship cabin). However it was very clean, well laid out, had good fans and a beautiful bathroom with a great shower. Lots of outlets.

Every time I got out of bed, I knocked the bed light of the wall. Needed a chair for the desk. Breakfast overpriced.

Great location , area seems well maintained and safe from our experience. Good pubs and cafes nearby , easy walk to Soho etc

Could have done with air con , weather was particularly hot, but they did supply electric fans which were good at night, and at this price you can't have everything so I'm not complaining

The room was small but charming and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was spotless as well, with plenty of hot water and complimentary shower gels and toiletries provided.

It would have been lovely if bottled water had been provided alongside the tea amenities. Also, please note there isn’t 24/7 staff on-site—when I arrived late, I had to ring the doorbell, but someone kindly opened the door right away.

Bed was a bit hard and lumpy. Being in the attic it was boiling hot but that was due to the weather being boiling. Not the hotels fault obviously

Confusion with staff meant that I was not offered the option of a cooked breakfast in the morning until after I’d already been waiting for 15 minutes at the table.

We chose this hotel for its location and we were not disappointed - a few minutes walk to Oxford Street or the British Museum, great connection to the airport and the biggest attractions in London. Additionally, friendly staff and tasty breakfasts.

The room was quite small and worn out, the bathroom was tiny, the ventilation in the room left a bit to be desired because upon entering it was stuffy.

Perfect location, especially if you are visiting UCL. Even if you don't have anything to do with UCL, the location is quite central and well-connected. Great value for money, particularly if you don't plan to spend too much time indoors. The family room can easily sleep 4, even though we were only 3 - but with 1 bathroom, time to get ready in the morning may be longer if you are 4. We only stayed for 1 night, so not a lot to say, but we were satisfied with everything and not inconvenienced.

Nothing in particular. The key to the main door was a bit tricky, but there is always someone at the reception to let you in except late in the night - wasn't a problem for us.

It was a little noisy with an outside machine unit during the day but this turned off at night.

A very British feeling hotel. The rooms are cute but small. The area is a beautiful classic English feel. The street was very quiet and easy to get to from the underground.

A cosy room and a friendly welcome from the staff member who greeted me. Liked the black-out blind and a great number of sockets/lighting options in the room.

As would be expected from these beautiful older buildings, a little street noise was audible from traffic.

I'd booked a single room but was given a lovely room with a double bed on the ground floor with a view over the garden, as I'd requested. The location of the hotel was very close to a tube station, so very handy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, but the buffet had run out of some items on my first morning.

I found the breakfast room a bit cramped and noisy, especially as it had been 'taken over' by a large group of other guests.

The tv was not funtioning. Do not advertise this service with no proper service. There is no litter bin, only a very tiny one in the bathroom.

The melon in a bowl was nice, there was a good selection of food. I would have liked a fruit salad for breakfast, but the chopped up melon was nice. The scrambled egg was nice, but too rich as it had a lot of butter in it.

The room didn't have any USB sockets for the phone. The ariel on the television wasn't working as the pictures on every channel in the evening and morning was breaking up, as the reception wasn't great. The shower was nicely decorated, but the water was either hot or cold, the thermoset is broken.

This hotel is clean, has friendly staff and is in a really good location so it offered all I needed. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom and soap, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom.

The hotel is no-frills and quite dated so not a luxury option.

Exceeded my expectations for the price, I chose it just on location and pleasantly surprised by comfort and character (former home of John Everett Millais and decorated with his artwork).

Breakfast was very good but they didn't have or understand 'Earl Grey tea', they said they had two sorts of tea, black or white.

The room had everything we needed, comfortable beds, powerful shower and access to additional plug sockets! The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The team at the hotel were really friendly, we arrived early and were allowed access to our room which was great, we also left our luggage on the second day so we could continue with our adventures. Fantastic location for London Euston 10 minute walk, Goodge street underground 10/15 minute walk, Shaftesbury Theatre 15 minute walk.

The room suited our needs perfectly.

There was plenty of choice of food for breakfast with a few different options on the 2nd morning. The location was excellent, close to Euston station and underground stations. The staff were very pleasant. Very enjoyable stay.

The carpet in room 12 was completely threadbare. The room itself was clean and comfortable and as I had a very reasonably priced short notice booking it seems wrong to complain but it doesn't look good. The bathroom looked as though it had been recently fitted so maybe renovation is underway. Breakfast was excellent although I would have liked some Earl Grey tea. The cooked breakfast was served on a cold plate and consequently was luke warm which was a shame as it was perfectly cooked.
