The Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas

Great location and vibe. A beautiful hotel with some great restaurants and hidden gems 💎.

Unfortunately the hotel had issues with having rooms ready and were making many people wait after their 3:00 check in time. We waited almost 4 hours to be given a room. When we finally checked in we asked if we could have a late night check in considering I made a room upgrade and were only staying for one night. They said that was fine and not to worry. The next day at 11:00 they locked our keys so we couldn’t get to our room. When we asked someone by the concierge desk for help we were treated as if she was doing a huge favor for us. Told us to wait behind the line as if we were doing a security check, then when gave us our room key back said “here you go…out of courtesy” which to be honest we didn’t do anything wrong and showed us how much the staff cares about patrons paying close to $1,000 dollars + just for the room for one night.

The invoicing for items in your room and in room dining is very confusing at checkout and you shouldn't be charged just for picking something up, eg nuts, chips etc.

Huge, modern, clean room, easy parking. Breakfast at the Henry was fabulous.

The only downside is that AC is located in such way that blows straight in your head while lying in bed and cannot be adjusted (keep in mind that you cannot open the windows).

It’s a pretty hotel. Good location on the strip.

The room was poorly lit, not in a romantic way but less than functional.

Wonderful place. Some staff was friendly, some was not. Great location. Amazing room and terrace. Especially at night. Lots of food choices. The wicked spoon buffet was great. Good food.

The location was perfect, the view from our room was amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The fridge in the room turned off every 2 hours, the AC doesn’t really cool the whole room evenly, no microwave in the room.

We waited an hour and 25 min to check in our room after our check in was supposed to be at 3pm. We were in the 35th floor and one time to just go down to the casino took 15min because of how packed the elevators were.

Location is perfect right in the middle of everything. From the start... Check in with Mayra at the front desk was a great experience. Rooms and the views were beautiful. Property is modern, clean and well kept. Gym was well equipped and clean. All of the staff on the property were helpful and kind. Restaurant choices were great... I only had time to try out Amaya and The Henry. Both delicious food. The staff at The Henry were nice, especially Tom!

I lost my way around the property but that's because it was my first stay there.

The location

Passing through the casino was a health hazard. Lungs filled and burned with the disgusting chemicals of cigarette smoke. Smoking should be banded indoors. It was very uncomfortable and at one point wanted to check out. The casino should not be a place for just smokers to hang out. It’s like you trying kill people.

Location on the Las Vegas Strip was very central and perfect for us. All amenities were great. There was lots of choice of restaurants and bars. It had all you could ask for.

The rooms would benefit from tea & coffee making facilities. This would have been very much appreciated and is generally available in the majority of hotels of this standard. The bottled water in the rooms should also have been complimentary. Beware that bottled water is extremely expensive not just in the hotel but wherever you buy it from.

The staff at the front desk provided different answers and there was a bit of a misunderstanding regarding the reservation and the benefits that came with the booking reservation.

I got a great view of the fountain, the wheel, the Sphere, and the Paris beautiful tower. It was lovely. The beds are great! My. It’s said the chicken place was super good. We also ate the buffet at the Wicked Spoon. I wasn’t impressed though. I giggled a little how everyone had these plates piled high with crab legs. I am spoiled living in Seattle with fresh out of the water crab. The crab here was dry, fishy, and very salty. Ew. Every person on the staff was so awesome! Especially as it was Christmas time- even the guys out on the street helping the cosmopolitan with traffic were wishing people merry Christmas!!

The check-in line was crazy long. We waited 45 minutes. Every time I walked by the front desk the line was always so long. I also was a little disappointed in the smell. It smelled like car fresheners- ew. The remote for my TV was bad…. Like it was running out of batteries. I didn’t like the overly priced Wicked Spoon. Coffee- where is the Coffee?? No coffee in the room and the only coffee place I could find in hotel was Starbucks- ew.

Overall stay was good. Bummed out that the ice skating wasn’t available. The property is good but there’s some maintenance that are needed in the room we stayed at: The toilet door knob latch wasn’t in good condition and I got locked out for a couple of minutes without my phone until it finally let me open! The curtains is stuck and doesn’t open on the right side so we can see the view from inside the room. There were still cigarette butt, a soda can outside the terrace and the there’s an empty cigarette box under the couch in the living room.

Check-in was a nightmare, waiting over two hours to get into our room after the time confirmed. Bad time management. In room phone never worked to connect with hotel services.

Charging for literally everything. Asking for champagne glasses to use JUST to make a toast and then taking hours to deliver them after paying $15 is insane.

The property has a great location. Middle of the strip. The room sizes were great. Beds were massive and we had a sofa also. Bathroom had double vanity and a large walk in shower.

The staff at the desk were not that hospitable, there was no ‘welcome’ or ‘have a nice stay’. No coffee machine in the room, just very small fridge. If you wanted fresh towels and a tidy up, you would need to pay $100 a time. The corridors were looking a bit tired. Wall lights coming off the walls.

Hotel and facilities and location are great. Some nice places to eat and good bars and clubs. Easy access to other hotels.

Rooms were a bit tatty in places and have not been well maintained since I last went 8 years ago. I was there for 3 nights and they only cleaned my room once AFTER I called them to do it. I was out of my room for several hours on most days so they had the opportunity to do this.

Comfy beds. One unfortunate thing was my friend and me both thought receptionist said $100 daily allowance per stay but when checked out this was not the case. So wouldn’t of spent so much each day at hotel and was disappointed by this.

I was not able to get a copy of my final bill. The email the hotel sends after checkout had all the links removed and I wasn’t able to access my folio. Internet was very slow.

I like that it’s so many great restaurants and bars on property that you do not have to leave to have an amazing experience.

Like most Vegas casinos is still a touch of cigarette smoke in the air.

Staff who initially checked us in was unhelpful and told us to take the room otherwise we might not be able to get the same room later, i.e a downgrade. Initial room was not what was expected. Returned to check in and got a vey helpful person who sorted the issue.

We loved the location and most especially the balcony and view of the Bellagio fountain. The balcony was comfortable and spectacular, which is most appreciated. Our room was oversized with a spacious sitting area. The fridge in my daughters room did not work.

NO COFFEE in the room, the elevator cards that did not work half of the time, the cost of food in the hotel restaurants, and the quality of it in some instances, Superfrico was expensive and not worth the price, the show and food moved slow, and come on…three juggler acts out of 6 or 7 acts. The staff at the front desk was not welcoming. It was my birthday…our room was not made available until after 4pm, and only after we called. The room phone to the front desk did not work so you had to call using your cell phone and then wait for 20 minutes on hold before they answered. Towels were left to be changed and they were not. My daughter got there first and she was guaranteed that we would both be on the same floor closer to one another, and the gentleman at the front desk did not follow up with her request after he told her he would, and not to worry about it. NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE. No one texted us when our room was ready. We had to call to find that out. And, they tried to sell me a higher priced room when they could not fulfill their part of our reservation with the room we reserved.
