The hotel is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The room was okay for me as a solo traveler, though it felt a bit small. Everything was clean and well. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. I really appreciated that they allowed me to check out at 1 p.m., which was important for me. The location, however, is perfect!

My only ick is that there were no amenities such as slippers or a sanitary bag etc, which I usually find necessary in other hotels. As for the breakfast, it wasn’t the best in my opinion. I don’t mind that it’s à la carte, but the options weren’t very appealing, and the one I tried I didn’t enjoy. I also don’t like wasting food, so I had to finish it. Additionally, having only one drink option (either coffee or juice) wasn’t ideal — I would have preferred both.

Breakfast was not good , serving like restaurant pre set meal with limited choice and need to add money to have some food . Who say is great breakfast in other previous reviews ?

The food of the hotel is delicious especially nasi ulam however as we missed the set lunch and as it was our last day , we had to order ala carte and it was to my opinion overly priced , the location is superb as it’s nearby all the hipster cafes , shopping malls and monorail was very nearby I really appreciate that the hotel room lobby has a water cooler and water was also given in the room. Iron and kettle is also available upon request.

The only I didn’t like was the lighting of the room and the space. Though the overall hotel outlook gives out the romantic vibes , I prefer the lighting in the room to be bright as when applying make up and packing, it’s important to have a good lighting. The space for standard room is to cramp for 2 persons and not convenient to pray for 2 persons in the room due to the space

The hotel is super basic.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and patient. Staff at the restaurant were polite. Door man was very helpful in assisting me to get a car during heavy rainfall.

The room we got was a sizeable corner room with nice views and natural light, and the design of the hotel overall was really nice. There's a restaurant on the ground floor that serves local dishes with a twist -- the fresh kaya was exceptional, we wish we could've bought a bottle to take with us!

The rooms didn't have simple amenities that would've elevated the experience, like a selection of tea/coffee in the rooms, toothbrushes, a kettle.

The room is good, and surprisingly sound proof although the location of hotel in just on the main street ( BONUS point!) Another thing worth shout out: The crew thoughtfully prepare breakfast for me for my early flight, although it's before their shift start. Lot of thanks for the crew!

The facilities are good - room and bedding was very comfortable, there is a water dispenser near the elevator on each floor and the staff are very friendly. There is a gated parking area for hotel guests (flat rate RM15 per day), but if that is full, there is a public car park nearby that offers a similar rate.

The Den room is a bit small.

We can really recommend this hotel. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive and polite. The rooms were a little noisy, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay. The food is also very tasty! So all in all very nice experience!

I venture to KL quite a bit, and always enjoy staying in Chow Kit - the place offers something different from the rest of KL. The hotel itself is clean, lovely room, friendly staff, nice food.

Convenient location for overnight stay in KL from airport and on towards Ipoh. Helpful and friendly staff. Great restaurant/bar downstairs. Great location for further exploration of the city. Close to lots of good restaurants etc.

The Chow Kit hotel is a great place to stay if you’re deep in the city, with a great restaurant/bar downstairs, it makes for a good time to stay short or long! This place will definitely compliment your taste in aesthetics if you’re looking for it.

The room sizes are pretty standard, which makes sense for the location in KL.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was great and the bed was very comfortable.

Room was not serviced until very late in the day which made it very awkward as we were back at the hotel after a day out.

I like the property but just wanted to suggest to add some hook on the wall near the door for jackets, trash bin near the sink, add some toiletries like comb, cotton buds, toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion and hand cream. The TV keeps being taken over by other guests connecting through Bluetooth while watching.

The staff were happy and the restaurant was good.

Room was a bit small. Housekeeping could improve. No bidet. No conditioner.

The breakfast was very good. The place is nice and has a good boutique feeling to it.

First time I stayed it wasn’t properly cleaned but they fixed it.

Wasn’t sound proof, other customers were making so much noise outside, talking loudly during midnight , early morning, unable to rest in well:

We had a great stay. The staff were polite and attentive, and stored my luggage at no additional cost. Our room was spacious enough for us, and the beds were on the comfy side. It was fun to see the train running in front of our window. The windows are great — one can only hear minimal noise from outside. As other comments said, the rooms are a bit dim, but I believe it's the style of the hotel — romantically dim rather than disturbingly so. Lots of hotels are the same in the Middle East too.

We found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming, particularly the hospitality staff. Sekky and his team were professional, attentive and a great asset to the Chow Kit Hotel.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and despite the sound proofing, the noise from motor bikes at night was quite loud. Next time, we’ll request a room towards the back of the hotel, or bring ear plugs.

Convenient location - speed of check in

We bought the room with breakfast - additional charges for items on the menu - not great marketing as items in Malaysia are not expensive to procure - didn’t like that you couldn’t have juice & hot beverage without additional charge - or a 2nd hot beverage top up without paying extra - this took away any value - won’t stay again and certainly wouldn’t buy a breakfast package ! It’s a nice hotel otherwise - wouldn’t go for the Tolkay suite again as it was very small for a suite - suggest people opt for the basic den which is much better value - without breakfast of course !

Quite an aesthetic looking hotel design. The beds are super comfortable. The restaurant is very good, serving Malay fusion food. Room price is also very attractive. Onsite parking is open air, but next to the hotel

There is no swimming pool and limited facilities. The rooms are a bit small and can feel a bit claustrophobic. The hotel is in the city, but on the fringe, so it will be a bit of a walk to KLCC

'All day' Happy hour prices were not applied to our drinks bill

Nice, well maintained boutique hotel. Good F&B staff, very friendly and attentive.

Room too dark. No bidet in the bathroom, which is strange for a modern, small luxury hotel. The long mirror was on the wall right next to the bed with very tight space and defeats the purpose for its use.

The location is strategic but there was no clear indication where is the parking area, I went to the dropped off area instead and had to make a round circle around Jalan Raja Laut/ Jalan TAR to go back to the hotel. Advise to the management: please put a proper signage from Jalan Sultan Ismail/FGV so drivers know that they have to take the 1st left to go into the parking lot (instead of the 2nd left which is the dropped off area). There is no coffee or tea provided in the room.

Tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. Food at the restaurant was exceptional. The location was strategic with the LRT and Monorail within short walking distance. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The music in the elevator is a bit loud but the selection of music was good. A bidet in the toilet would be nice.
