The room was large and very comfortable. The pool and other public areas were lovely.

Our coffee machine didn't work, but was replaced immediately.

Their in room dining foods are great but way to expensive compare to other 5-6 stars hotels i've been to

i stayed in about 10 hotels in my KL 7weeks trip and here 5 days was one of the best. breakfast had a great selection with great fresh coffee. room spacious, staff very helpful. good atmosphere overall. pool area a bit dated. no sauna unless you book spa. there are not many options to do within walking distance and that would be one of the main disadvantage to stay for long. not much to do but few days is manageable. thank you guys.

Old colonial style hotel tastefully furbished

Immaculate hotel, very comfortable room in Tower Wing.

We would have liked a Coffee Shop for a snack or cup of coffee on the ground floor when returning from an excursion in the city. The Colonial Lounge is lovely but did not serve small snack type food.

Service, room and restaurants

Reservations only in cigar lounge, writing room locked most of the day and orchid room booking only.

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Enjoyed the live music at the cafe/bar while sipping on our cocktails. Really lovely experience. Location was also easy to get to places of interest.

Everything! This is my second stay, really enjoyed!

The hotel has a long history and is very well located. The newer parts reflect the standard of any international business hotel. The service was good, and the breakfast buffet offers has a wide range of international choices.

I had booked a room in the old part of the hotel to benefit from the historic flair. It was also quite expensive. Unfortunately, the experience was rather disappointing. The first room I was shown was very dark. Changing the room to get some daylight made the whole venture even more expensive. The result was a spacious and lighter room (a suite). What surprised me though, was that the room missed a lot of standard features of any international hotel. Most importantly, no outlets next to the bed - which is really annoying -, no master light switches at the bed, no cosmetic mirror and no full-size, large mirror either, and a rather small bathroom sink. Please, bring the room directories back! The app is not very good and does not replace a directory. I expect more of a hotel that forms part of a large international chain. Anyways the shower was great.

Actually I have a mix emotion. Very good staff and nice history around hotel. We stayed at the colonial suite, rooms are good but noting exceptional.

Potential to be a big 5 star's but unfortunately just an average 5 stars. They could do much better on the details.

My large beautiful and elegant suite with its super comfy bed!! Breakfast had a very large choice of international and tasty food. Easy walking distance to Central Market, museums and other sights. The hotel provides a shuttle to KL Sentral Station.

Wonderful breakfast, nice stay

Colonial style hotel close to many attractions in KL. Also a short walk to the nearest train station- Muzium Negara.

I have worked in 5 star hotels for more than 7 years now, and The Majestic could be the best hotel I have ever experienced! The main reasons for this are: The stunning design and furnishings, elegantly executed and no expense spared to achieve their colonial vision. From the entrance, to the restaurants, reading room, smoking room and bedrooms they have fantastic attention to detail and you really feel you are in a history manor, rather than a Marriott hotel. The staff are unbelievably friendly and attentive and there are so many of them! You are never without someone around to assist and they have impeccable manners, perfect English and always wanting to help. Especially our waiter at breakfast, Raihan, he was delightful and a true asset to their business. I asked if they had guava juice and hashbrowns and he said they did not today, but he had already asked chef to make them for us especially. What service! The buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner is out of this world. Honestly like being in an Aladdin's cave of every food you can imagine. The quality, quantity and variety surpasses any restaurant I have seen, let alone a hotel. I do not know how they do it 3 times a day, 7 days a week. I had to take a video, as it was just so impressive. Outstanding presentation too. A totally exceptional experience, we are so pleased we chose this hotel!

The swimming pools were disappointing as both are by a main road, the traffic is so loud it is not a relaxing place to be at all. I strongly recommend they install a waterfall fountain flowing into the pool, which would mask the noise a little. We were also gutted to discover the spa was only treatments, there was no hot tub or steam room or sauna. We were looking forward to chilling in the spa, so this was most frustrating. They should make this clear online to avoid guests' disappointment. However these were the only negatives of our stay, so we would still recommend and we would come back for sure!
