Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

This property is perfect!! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the facilities are first class, and the staff are the best we have ever witnessed - so caring and helpful. The staff are always so polite, welcoming, and always willing to assist in any way. We had a three night stay at the hotel on our way back home to Australia after being in Europe for a month and it was a perfect way to reset our body clocks and just relax. We arranged an airport transfer through the hotel, and on arriving at the portico of the hotel Sarah from the Mandarin Oriental lounge was waiting there to welcome us to the hotel. Sarah gave us a detailed and very helpful introduction to the hotel and our suite, and during our stay she seemed always available to help us with any questions we had. We also were made feel so welcome at the hotel by Mohana, and she made us feel like true guests of the hotel, not just paying visitors. Having stayed at a LOT of hotels from big chains previously, we are convinced that the Mandarin is the best we have experienced and a lot of those other famous chains should learn from the excellence of the Mandarin KL.

The room was great, we had amazing view to the towers, facilities were great. Breakfast had a lot of good choices. Location was perfect.

We did laundry in the hotel and ended up paying a lot for the small amount of clothes we had, it was a bit unexpected.

Can’t fault this hotel. Ideal location beside KLCC and the Twin Towers. All staff from doormen to check in, to restaurants/bars and housekeeping have been super friendly and professional. Breakfast options are varied and tasty, and rooms spacious and luxurious. Will return.

Information in the room on opening hours of pool, spa etc was missing. Spa was not easy to book, you have to physically go there for the spa menu, rather than have the information accessible in your room.

The location was particularly selected because of some errands during my stay.
Breakfast was widespread, lots of choices-local and international. Staff at breakfast were friendly, efficient and welcoming.

The service was first class, so friendly and efficient

We had to complain about the noise of drilling from below floor renovations. These continued to our full stay for a few hours each day. I have to say though, the complaint was dealt with very well and they couldn’t do enough to make up for the inconvenience.
