Klaus K Hotel, Helsinki

Good location easy to find. Check in was simple and Wi-Fi good. Great coffee and easy routes to run outside in the morning. Bathrooms were good and shower hot. Room was small but I had booked a mini. Great for a couple of nights but longer you would want a bigger room

Nothing was great for my needs as a sola tourist & the extra little touches I really liked.

The hotel is located in a nice boulevard in the centre of Helsinki, from which you can reach the market square and the main attractions in 10 minutes on foot, and there are tram and bus stops nearby. Regarding the room, it was large, clean and welcoming, with comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent and varied, with fresh quality food, and the hotel gym was also well equipped for a total body workout. Finally, the hotel staff has always been kind and available to our requests. Highly recommended.

Fast, friendly, courteous staff from reception to dining room. Great breakfast buffet. Heated bathroom floor. Large, comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Easy walking location near train station, harbor, outdoor marketplace, historic sites, lots of eating places, and shopping.

The light switches are many and scattered and very confusing. We were pushing random switches until we got the lights we wanted. Not all switches seem to be functional.

Very comfortable and spacious room, beautiful furnishings, large and well appointed bathroom, great shower. We really liked the way seating area was separated from the bed, it felt like an apartment. Nice balcony with seats to chill in the evenings. Great location, very close to all the sights, a tram stops just in front of the hotel, also there is a nice café nearby. Close to shops, restaurants and bars. Lovely breakfast, great selection of delicious breads and pastries, salads, and a hot counter. Lovely staff! We arrived early, but the room was ready for us already, and they also stored our luggage after check-out. This place made us feel at home in Helsinki!

We were upgraded 3 levels and had just enough space to keep our opened suitcases. Lots of choices for hot and cold breakfast but none of them stood out as great (had better breakfast choices elsewhere).

The room was small but very nice for one person. It would have been very small for two people. I liked the bathing and shower supplies and that they have an iron in the room. Also, the bed was so comfortable!

There wasn't a sauna. You vist Finland and you want to try a sauna but it wasn't one in the hotel.

The Sky Suite room with balcony was amazing! We are gutted that we could only stay for just one night! It was a lovely room with a great view of Helsinki. The breakfast on offer was amazing too.

I found out the doble bed in the small double bed room a little bit small, but we slept 2 there relativ well.

The location is good, with restaurants nearby and walking distance to the station and main sights. We'd booked a double room but were allocated a 'suite' which meant we had plenty of space to chill as well as sleep. The bed was comfortable and king sized, and the room was very quiet. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee pretty good considering it was out of a machine. The onsite Italian restaurant, Toscanini, is excellent, with great food and friendly service.

The design of our 'suite' meant that there was no light in the bedroom and not a lot in the rest of the space. There was a very odd mural on the walls, and very little storage for clothes given how big the room was. We were only staying for two nights on our way home from a longer trip so didn't properly unpack, but if we'd wanted to do so I don't think we'd have found room for even a few days' clothing!

Probably a very niche situation but I found one of the staff to be highly unprofessional. When I checked in, the hotel was fully booked and as a result I was upgraded to a suite (which was honestly such a weird space; the normal room was nicer in my opinion) and not informed that I would be moved after the first couple of nights. Accordingly, I didn't check out to check back into the normal room. The front desk staff who called to ask if they could move my things seemed stressed, frazzled, and overwhelmed - and as a result, the tone was pushy and rude. I came back to the hotel as soon as I was able and moved rooms but still felt uncomfortable with the unprofessional tone and the criticism that the front desk agent expressed towards her colleague who had checked me in. It felt unnecessarily cruel to belittle the young woman who was not there to defend herself.

The Internet signal is very weak in the room, probably because it is an old building.

We liked the lighting in the hotel, and its location. Very usefully it had two restaurants out front, not sure if they were independent of the hotel or not. The Italian was excellent, the seafood restaurant we didn’t eat at. Our room was interesting, split level and had a fantastic bathroom. Nice rooftop bar for early evening drink.

Needed large cups in the room for making tea. Also no biscuits provided. Interiors starting to look a bit tired. No bar for nightcap.

Spacious, very central (easy walking distance to everywhere), very friendly and helpful staff.

The lightning was a bit too low (the room was quite dark and the windows didn’t allow much light). But it wasn’t a big deal as the room was otherwise super comfortable and I was there to sleep only anyway.

Good location in the centre, streetcar stop right in front of the house. The room has all the necessary amenities. I had the MINI room, but it was more than enough for one night. Nice contemporary style. Good shower.

Great hotel next to everything in Helsinki. Small but nice rooftop bar with a great Barman and selection of drinks. Very nice buffet breakfast with a lot of options for vegan, gluten free etc.

Great location to explore city. Streetcar stop right in front of hotel. Super friendly staff could help with special request. Great modern hotel design and room. Breakfast was outstanding with variety, quality food options. Enjoyed also the rooftop bar and restaurant.

No berries at breakfast, how is this possible in Finland? I stayed at 4 hotels in Helsinki area and this was the only one with no berries so that was disappointing.

VERY nice and helpful staff, in the reception as well as in the breakfast room. There was a cloth steamer in the room, which was appreciated- this is rare. Pleasant hotel atmosphere in general.

Lack of compartments in the room, I basically could not unpack most of my stuff. Also, no table in the room. The room is rather small in general - it is labeled as “comfort room”, which is a bit of an overstatement. Also, there is a window in bathroom which may be disturbing during night when the light comes through into the room.

I had a fantastic stay at KlausK in Helsinki. I was lucky to get a room facing the courtyard. It was really quiet and clean, and now I'm emotionally attached to their pillows and bed. The staff was friendly and professional, always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of local options. I also appreciated the attention to detail and the overall atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Klaus K for both business and leisure travelers. The location is great, right in the heart of the city, close to all the shops. Stockmann is just a 5-minute walk away, there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, and a tram stop just steps from the entrance. Looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Helsinki!

Located in the city centre, a market walking distance and they assigned me a very quietly located room at an upper floor as I requested.

The price for breakfast was high 25 eur however I didn’t take breakfast.

Excellent breakfast, comfortable room.

Surprisingly the bathroom had no bidet which is standard equipment all over Finland. Also, our room didn’t have AC. The hallways and common facilities did.

The mini room is in fact quite small, but to be expected and fine enough for a solo traveller.

Perfect location in the city center, room equipped with everything needed for a short stay, wide selection of amenities at the reception (tea, coffee, cosmetic items, slippers), free slush ice at the reception, possibility to store luggage even after check-out, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast made from local ingredients – truly a wide variety, it was impossible to try everything, option to borrow an electric kettle for the room.

Small room and narrow bed for two people, but we were aware of the room size when making the reservation.

Decor was very nice, staff were really nice, breakfast was quite good, we received a free upgrade as the hotel was busy.

Room was a little bit noisy due to local nightlife, but nothing major.

The breakfast buffet had an exceptional variety and quality of food. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. It was my first trip ever to Finland but I would stay here again for sure if I ever return.

Love this place. 12pm check out and gave me a later checkout too because my flight was later. Awesome. Extra things including coffee and slippers at front desk. Good location, mini bar, confortable bed, hot shower. Breakfast bacon was cooked. Restaraunt downstairs with a tray i can take up to room and eat of a plate. Great location. Smart tv. Love it, its how alll hotels should be !
