Hotel Kämp, Helsinki

We stay at the Kämp every year and love it ~ location and staff are unbeatable.

This year we stayed in the new rooms on the ninth floor, which received mixed reviews from our family. The spaciousness was lovely but the grey colour scheme was rather miserable for such luxurious rooms. The view was a construction site on both sides and will not in our view be very beautiful when completed. This seems a missed opportunity in a property on such a historic site.

Hote Kamp is the epitome of excellence. The location is ideal, food exquisite, and my room was large and well appointed. The staff was more than friendly and always went out of their way to assist and accommodate any question or need I had.

I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. It was one of the best stays I have ever had in my 25 years of international travel.

Stayed around the world and this hotel has really got it right. Highest quality service and very well appointed. There was a big crane outside our room but they upgraded us to a suite, so it wasn't an issue being in a larger room.

Perfect location, room, staff and excellent breakfast

Not too far from train and bus station. You can walk a couple of blocks to get there. We took uber first to get there due to having luggage and snow. It closes to everything. The entire hotel, every corner and details are elegant European styles. Breakfast is amazing. We loved every moment there. We especially loved eating in the glass eating area looking out. All I can say is WOW! We missed afternoon tea and refreshment time due to busy sight seeing.

Best hotel in Finland!

The rooms are comfortable, the staff is very nice and the breakfast is wonderful. The location is also convenient to many shops, cafes and sights.

Classic hotel in the best location in Helsinki. We were in the historic wing and the rooms were lovely, traditional and more spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. We normally don’t eat dinner at a hotel, but we were jet-lagged. What a beautiful experience Brasserie Kamp was. We sat in the glass pavilion having a light dinner gazing out at the Esplahade as the snow fell.

The staff was first rate! Service at every level was excellent. Location was perfect for access to the main sites of Helsinki. The room was quite small by American standards but normal for Europe. The Hotel is well over 100 years old but perfectly maintained. You can feel the history. Breakfast was excellent. The variety of options was fabulous.

The dinner options in the restaurant could be larger.

Breakfast was really good. The variety was appreciable and food was appetising.

I was there just for a night ( not even 24 hours). I liked what I got.

The concierge was incredibly helpful in Sistine with a reservation, local stores, and other needs we had. She went out of her way to assist. I also loved the afternoon tea.

The very long wait at the bar for a drink. However, it was a busy night, and I must note the concierge was kind enough to offer us a better seat than where we were originally sitting.

Excellent hotel staff helping to make this a memorable stay for the newly-married couple. The suite was beautifully designed and the breakfast an absolute dream!

Big ,spacious,comfortable rooms,I actually thought it was a suite, perfect location you can't get anything to top that in Helsinki,we opted for room service which was on time,I will say for continental breakfast they need to polish it a bit, there are smaller hotels who have better breakfast than that with smaller amount,Eggs Benedict was no were near to perfection,I know they can do better than that, otherwise all was great.

We LOVED Hotel Kämp for its historical beauty, modern updates and superb staff. The location makes it easy to walk anywhere. the restaurants and bars in the hotel are gorgeous and delicious.

On several occasions i asked staff for helping me book a tour/bike ride and i felt i was somewhat on my own

Exceptional hotel, though bar staff was snooty, but it was a busy Saturday night.

The location is very good. Most of the staff were good. The room was quiet and clean. The food in the Brasserie was good and tasty. The check-out was quick and professional.

The check-in was a little bit slow to this level of hotel. The wine selections in the Brasserie were very limited. I asked for wake-up call to be done by phone, it never came. A lot of construction is going on around the hotel

Very good breakfast and good location, as hotel location is very good, we can reach most of tourist attractions by foot under nice weather in Helsinki. Really good experience in Helsinki. By the way, upper lounge in Hotel Kamp is very good, we had a nice time there, good food, good service.

Housekeeping should’ve room for improvement. Sometimes forgot to prepare face tower. Most of time , cleaning is done very well, however sometimes cleaning is not up to standard
