I thought I had specified needing three beds in a family room but the hotel gave us two doubles. It was fine but meant my teenage children had to share.

Very spacious room with a nice view, cool elevator, amazing service at BRO restaurant, vintage style of the swimming pool. There was a super cute activity for kids which our family appreciated a lot.

Boring breakfast, proximity to a construction site. Some of the receptionists were very kind and made us feel welcome, but we also encountered rude and sarcastic behavior, specifically regarding complaining about the construction noise.

The hotel reception was very helpful and courteous. The room was excellent and clean. The breakfast was excellent too, though space was tight. The service was good and the reception staff did make an effort to allow us a late check-out.

The price

Location was bad Taxi cab was not shown at the airport I sent an email for further explanation. Never received it. Cost me $117 euro $80.00 more than I was told. No compensation from the front desk. Front desk was not friendly. I would not stay there again because of the lack of care. I would like a refund of $80.00.

room was bigger than expected. breakfast was very good. we had an issue with the plumbing and were offered another room the evening before we were leaving. it wasn't worth moving all our stuff so we were given another room as well as keeping our first one - we were very pleased with this outcome. we liked the sauna and the pool.

Very close to the city centre. Great sea view. Very professional and lovely staff. Comfortable beds. Nice lobby. Complimentary tea and coffee - good variety, actual milk was supplied We loved the glass lift!

No power socket next to bed - on one side there was a USB outlet only but it wasn't working. On the other side of the bed there was nothing to charge phone overnight. It would be nice to have a possibility to log into Netflix on TV - we didn't find that option

The swimming pool is at the right temperature, warm enough.

Great location and very comfortable room facing the sea. The staff at the check-in counter were very friendly and helpful.

Room was spacious and clean though little dark and decorated with very cold colors. Breakfast was good.

Sauna and pool area are a bit worn out. Breakfast area is also quite dark and small.

Hilton Helsinki Strand hotel offered a fantastic view of the lake. The Family Room was very comfortable and breakfast buffet spread simply lavish. The Lounge Area has a Play zone for children and a reading area with a library for those wishing to read and relax at the same time.

The hotel layout is impressive with a big atrium and glass elevators. you can see that the hotel had its primes a few decades ago, some appliances and furnitures are rather dated, but that's nothing really to worry about. A big plus was the breakfast hotels with very flexible times and a huge selection of food, especially for .. Finland. Also the Pool, which was opened from 6am till 10pm, allowed us a lot of relaxation in times when the weather wasn't favorable. The hotel is very close to Hakaniemi Square, where you have a Metro station, as well as a Tram stop. It's also possible to reach the ferry terminal to Estonia from that very tram stop.

The Hakaniemi Area is currently undergoing huge construction works, which will likely go on for a year or more - we were aware of that, it didn't affect my review What negatively impacted my review and downgraded it from 10 to 9 were the following points, all regarding maintenance and cleanliness: - Our Bathroom sink didnt drain. I told the front desk, but nothing happened afterwards It's ok, I can brush my teeth in the Bathtub. It's only a Hilton hotel after all. - Shampoo dispenser in the Sauna Shower wasnt refilled for 5 days. - Chewing gum on the edge of the Swimming Pool wasnt removed during our stay - Pool Tiles above the water surface have accumulated a "Patina" of dirt. Can be rubbed off with your fingers, but I would have preferred if somebody had cleaned it before i encountered it - On one day I realized that the mustard bottle at the breakfast buffet was empty, i didnt complain and just took ketchup on my sausage. on the next day, the same empty mustard bottle was again added to the breakfast buffet. Imagine the ignorance :)) Anyway, this didnt spoil my visit, I just hope that people at Hilton read this and improve their service regarding these points :)

Breakfast closes at 10.30am. But they start clearing at 10 itself. Few restaurant staff are not responsive.

We loved the location. Its close to the Xmas markets and a fantastic shopping and dining area. We walked easily to all locations. Breakfast was good value and had an excellent variety. The Duty Manager on our first morning, Darren was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgable about the area. He was very helpful showing us maps and suggesting things for our family to do. Thanks Darren! The staff were very helpful with storing suitcases and getting our rooms ready a little earlier when needed. We had a fabulous experience.

We were woken up at 7am on the first morning with a fire alarm! Was rectified within 5-10 minutes.

not possible to display any toilette bag and necessaire in the bathroom, the hotels around the world created minimalistic interiors for business travellers therefor the one travelling for leisure prefer to rent flats

The location is good, and the basement parking is excellent. The breakfast is fine as well.

The booking system is messy. There are many options: this room and no breakfast, this room with breakfast, this room and breakfast and a sea view, that room with.. without.. that size.. this size... prices change during a day... And when you think you nailed it and booked with everything you wanted and paid for that, it turns out (at the reception): "Oh no, there is no breakfast.. you did not book it". What? Booking.com customer service cannot do anything--they likely do not want to mess with large chains. The bottom line: make screenshots of your selection before you have paid. The "sea view" looks more like a "big pond view". The swimming pool is tiny, and the materials used in rooms are cheap.

Hilton is a 4 Star Hotel in a very convenient location (walking distance from the main attractions). Their lobby is very cosy and the breakfast is very good. The price is reasonable, especially if compared with the very expensive prices around the city.

Upon my arrival, I encountered an extremely rude attitude from the restaurant manager. In an aggressive manner, he asserted that we couldn't have our dinner, citing incomprehensible reasons such as having only 2 chefs and some round tables not designated for serving food as per policy. It's important to note that I was accompanied by my 9 and 12-year-old daughters, and we were in a city with a temperature of -20 Celsius, where most restaurants close after 20:00. When I requested him to be more friendly and exhibit some hospitality, he responded in an entirely unacceptable manner, even threatening me to watch my attitude. This falls far short of the hospitality standards one would expect, especially from a venue like Hilton. However, the receptionist, to his credit, was kind enough to genuinely apologize for the incident, though it was an overall unpleasant experience.

The typical things you expect in a 4/5 star hotels are not there. Slippers have to be requested (which is fine as this is for sustainability purposes I hope). What appalled me was that bath robes have to be rented for €10 (I hope I misunderstood the receptionist that it’s for renting and not for deposits only). If for deposit, he didnt explain to me.

The location is good. Great saunas and the swimming pool. All facilities worked properly.

The temperature in the room was not easy to regulate. If you make the room warmer, it takes hours to cool it down again. The breakfast was good. The dinner a la carte also, but Christmas dinner was very poor.

Restaurant has very little food options for dinner and closes early, with no other restaurants close by. A little bit annoying when you come from work meetings late. No fridge in the room for same reason, difficult to keep something for late snack
