Very good
The breakfast was too expensive (31 eur/ person) - so we ate much cheaper in a nearby nice cafe.

Cool location, beautiful northern nature around, peace and quiet. We had a continental breakfast, a wide choice of dishes and a beautiful table setting. The kids loved the swimming pool with the panoramic window.

Returning customer, so I'm more or less pleased with the place. :) Nicely close but yet detached from the busy city. You can downshift from a hectic day here easily. Good by-the-sea restaurant with classy menus. Breakfast was filled with various options for everyone.
The sondproofing is quite bad - to the hallways that is. It's almost if the door is not there. So you wake up to any noise from the hallway or have difficulties going to sleep if there is still traffic in the hallways.

The hotel is beautifully located with a view over the start of the archipelago outside Helsinki. The hotel has architectural value, character and an impressive history of dignitaries having visited, which makes it interesting. The restaurant where we had dinner is pricey, but the quality of both the food and the service matched the price. The waiters are international professionals. There is a relatively large number of free outdoor parking spaces, though the hotel also has a (paid) underground garage. The airport is only some 15-20 minutes away by car. The hotel is not in the centre of Helsinki, and we really liked the location, but for somebody planning to explore Helsinki it is not a first choice.
The indoor swimming pool is rather modest. The "private beach" of the hotel is not nearly as nice as the public one next to it, but perhaps it is better that way as hotel guests could use the public one but not the other way around.

In general, I have seen better quality in many 4-star hotels.
The hotel is in one of the most beautiful places in Helsinki. The area is green, and it isn't easy to believe you are so close to the centre of Helsinki. The breakfast was ok, but not exceptional. The staff in the breakfast room was helpful and polite.
The facade of the hotel needs to be updated. The hotel looks like a student hostel. The hotel needs more staff when guests arrive and leave. Nobody is giving a helping hand with luggage.
The room was nice but could have been much more exceptional. There was no water, wine, or snacks to welcome the guest. I am not too fond of welcome messages on a TV screen. It is much more impressive to receive a handwritten letter from the staff.
The terrace of the room was exceptionally sad. It is not easy to describe it:
Old, very dirty aluminium window frames.
Dark grey beton floor.
Old pieces of furniture somebody needs to take care of.
No plants, no flowers.
At least the view was good.
The breakfast was ok, but effort has yet to be made to make it exceptional.

Spacious and comfortable room with an incredible view at the bay. Amazing sunsets straight from the bed! Pleasant and green surroundings, helpful and friendly staff, great little beach for swimming and really close to tram 4 taking you straight into the heart of the city!
The hotel is extremely dated and still leans on the concept of luxury in the eighties (or maybe even 70's?) I kind of enjoyed it since I felt like visiting my youth (or being part of a Wes Anderson movie) but it's not intentional and that makes it the vibe in the hotel somewhat heavy and sad.
The breakfast area was way too small at the time of our stay; it all felt packed, busy and uncomfortable.

A real gem
The location of the hotel overlooking the sea is wonderful. We took a room with sea view which was really nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best I have had at a hotel. We are very happy to recommend this hotel.
