Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg

Location was very central. Five minutes walk to train station. 10 minutes walk to shops!

Staff in restaurant were a bit slow at times but not a bad thing as we were enjoying a leisurely dinner.

Breakfast was wonderful. So was the bar. Staff everywhere um in the hotel were absolutely great. Beds were very comfortable.

I can’t think of anything that could have been better.

A hotel in the grand old style but thoroughly modernised. Superb breakfast - outstanding.

This palacial gem is an exceptional property. The rooms and common areas reminded us of a recent visit to Windsor Castle. The property is ideally located to take full advantage of the central train station, shopping, as well as enjoy the lakes. Every staff member we interacted with was outstanding and highly fluent in our native English. This hotel is a truly wonderful experience.

What a great place to stay! Everything was just amazing from arrival to departure: staff was extremely friendly, from the concierge to the reception to the cleaning staff and restaurant (breakfast) and bar staff, couldn’t fault any of it. An hour before planned check out I enquired for a late check out due to a late evening flight and we were able to stay an additional hour which was really appreciated after the amazing breakfast. The swimming pool and sauna were lovely and the location is stunning, right by the Alster and close to lots of Hamburg attractions. Thanks to everyone at the Atlantic for making our stay exceptional. We’ll be back again!

Very convenient for the station. Great location near the lake . Beautiful room. Very nice breakfast (a bit on the expensive side, but the room price was ok, so it worked out fine in total). Beautiful inner courtyard, very quiet. Near local restaurants, helpful advice from reception desk and concierge - thank you!

The bed was a bit too soft for us!

Unfortunately the scrambled eggs at breakfast was cold. The reading light next to the bed didn't work.

The location is beautiful, you can just walk in any direction and enjoy the city. The staff were wonderful. We had valet parking, and they were also super helpful with our luggage, and later when we realized we had forgotten something in the car it was no problem for them to help us retrieve it. The bar staff in the lobby lounge bar were great, and so were the drinks. We ate at Atlantic Grill & Health. Lovely meal, and super service. The room was fantastic, and the bed, the pillows, the duvet covers, it was amazingly comfortable 😊

The history and location

Loved the size of the rooms and facilities in the room were excellent. The pool area was beautiful and spacious with excellent change rooms. We were very impressed with the service and extra treats supplied when we had drinks in the foyer

As a couple that had been travelling for a long time i would have liked to be able to have access to laundry facilities that i could use myself. Other options were quite expensive.
