Motel One, Glasgow

E recently vidited for 2 nights to do some christmas shopping, esting & drinking. The hotel is in a prime location. Right next to the station and town centre. The staff on arrivel & check out were very friendly & helpful. We were very happy with our room, the view looked right up Hope Street. The facilities were great, tea & coffee, good shower, hairdryer, TV and WiFi. The only thing missing was a small fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep both nights.

Was great distance from where we had our works xmas night out. Woman on reception was really nice and helpful as it was my first time staying there. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was so comfortable that it was hard for me to get out of. Already booked another stay for February

Lovely hotel, very stylish and practical, staff welcoming and friendly, perfect location for our annual xmas date night up the town.. High end touches like luxury toiletries etc for a budget priced room! Even the other guests we met in the lifts were friendly would definitely stay here again

Maybe one tiny thing, a better area to sit and do my makeup...the bathroom had great lighting but after a shower the mirror was too steamed up to see what I was doing! Although a floor length mirror was available in the room it didn't have great lighting and no shelf or ledge to put your things on close to it..but I managed just fine anyway

I understand there where events going on around the area but the price is a tad high for my liking. Will definitely use the hotel again but just not at that price.

Nice hotel in city centre location. Staff were really helpful and allowed us to check in early which was great.

Not the hotels fault but the noise from the nightclub nearby did keep us awake until after 2pm. Would not stay here again on a Friday or Saturday night due to this issue.

TV didn’t work but not a major issue and bed was 2 beds together instead of one large bed !

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location and convenient - if crowded! buffet breakfast. Rooms were well appointed with every convenience. I had not previously known about the Motel One brand before but will definitely seek it out when next travelling.

The location was central and in a busy part of glasgow - vibrant area. Very comfortable bed got a good nights sleep both nights.

Bar was poorly stocked, every time i went to get a beer it was a different branded beer available - didnt have the same beer twice. Was overcharged once - £16 for a small wine and bottle of beer. Continential breakfast wasn't good value for money - £28 for two was a bit pricey for no cooked breakfast option.

Didn't sleep well due to my room being underneath a night club and the noise was a bit much

The decor and upkeep was super high standard, clean and sleek while feeling homely. Super comfortable room with all the usual amenities.

There were a couple of fire alarms which were annoying to have to leave and come back in. Not sure on the cause but I suspect it was a resident rather than any fault of the hotel.

Great location really central to Glasgow. Plenty of bars restaurants and take away places around hotel.

Only thing I would say is at night time argyle street is not the best place to be wandering around if you're alone.

That if you arrive late you have to stand and wait outside for a while. The breakfast is also a bit basic

I've stayed here multiple times. Never once has it let me down. Location is perfect and the hotel is just great, probably the most sound proof hotel room you can get because you simply don't hear anything from outside your room

The bar was apparently low on stock although it was quite late into the night. Didn't affect me but no lemonade for the wife

Location was fantastic. Literally right next to Glasgow Central Train Station. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping.

The room we stayed in was quite small and not much room to move around without myself or my husband having to step aside to let the other pass. Some rooms are larger, our friends had a larger room on a corner which had plenty of room and space including a sofa.

Fantastic location right next to the train station, with everything you need either nearby or within a short walk. The staff were really friendly, and both the hotel and the room were very clean.

This is personal preference, but the pillow was far too soft for me, and the quilt felt a bit thin for winter.

Location, room available to check in early. Room very pleasant albeit on the smaller side, but big enough for a weekend break. Bathroom nice with really good Shower, and complete with soap, etc.

Cleaning staff forgot to top up our coffee and tea supplies, and terrible bass noise thumping away on the Saturday night (not hotels fault) until early morning, which did affect our sleep. Bar didn’t have any draught beer, and staff a bit unfriendly.
