Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow

It has true style and elegance. A warm inviting room and the bath was divine. Loved the spa and the staff were excellent and friendly.

It was perfect

Everything about this hotel was exceptional most of all the staff who were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant and bar were stunning and the room was large, spotless, tasteful and quiet as requested. Spa looked wonderful and when we come back we will make use of same. Location perfect for theatre and shopping.

Room heating must have been broken it was very warm a bit uncomfortable.

Room was lovely, as was the buffet breakfast.

There are steps up to the hotel. Some help with my luggage would have been appreciated.

Been going to the hotel for a number of years now, and it’s always been great. Definite improvement in the staff now from when Kimpton originally took the place over.

It’s not a dislike as such, but I miss the first floor cocktail bar which was always the highlight of any stay we had. Surely this can be reopened? The bar downstairs is great, but I feel it’s a waste of an opportunity having the facility in the hotel and not being used.

The property was beautiful. All the facilities were well kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely as well as the drinks that we had in the hotel bar.

the menu's in the restaurant - sadly same during the day as in the evening with no changes, so not good - my husband and i are not big Seafood eaters so found the menu's very limited

We were upgraded to a superior room which was a lovely surprise. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We used the spa on both days and really enjoyed it. We had breakfast which was delicious and food and drinks in the bar which were also very good.

The spa was a bit too busy on the Saturday so it was quite difficult to get in to certain areas.

I only wish the room service options were a little better for vegetarians, had a pizza that was Chicago town obviously for £13.50 and a pretty bland vegan sandwich for £13, for a 5 star hotel you’d expect not a Chicago town 😂 just wish there were better choices but it’s a very small issue

Quality of hotel

Car alarm outside woke us but nothing to do with the hotel.

Food was fantastic, and staff were lovely and accommodating.

Hotel and facilities were lovely. Spa facilities were excellent.

I had trouble booking breakfast on arrival at hotel. I tried 3 times and was eventually told to book as room service. This was a shame as when food arrived it was luke warm and there was nowhere to eat it in the room comfortably. Food quality was really good though. I was also unsure if the soft drinks in the minibar were complimentary or not as there was no price list or description about this anywhere.

Cleanliness

Spa was too busy.The rusting fonts in the pool. The music played by the DJ in the bar. Our poached eggs were undercooked, the whites not cooked.

All good, great location and loved the breakfast and the spa

Room was weird, had a bathroom that had opening window doors into the bedroom. I was staying with a friend , it was fine but felt a bit awkward when doing the toilet.
