Malmaison Hotel, Glasgow

Friendly and attentive receptionist at check in, held bags while we parked and arranged a later check out after discovering our plans for the next day - wonderfully comfortable and cozy room

Bar man was abrupt, very quite bar but no conversation or offer for an alternative to a requested drink that wasn’t on the menu granted but it is a cocktail making bar! disappointed Room was also showing some wear and tear, bathroom extraction fan not working and paint surrounding it badly chipped and flaking off. Better attention to dusting and a little maintenance is required to the room to warrant the usual price tag but as it was Jan discount happily overlooked

Room was lovely and clean. It was very quiet.

The room was lovely with a wonderful deep bath. The staff were so helpful from start to finish. Martin went out of his way. Ideal location.

The lighting in the room was a bit dull for me.

Great hotel in a lovely area of Glasgow city centre. Had dinner and breakfast in the hotel which was excellent, friendly staff and room had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The room was quite outdated and the bathroom not very clean Lighting and mirrors not great for make up and trying to get ready

Enjoyed our recent stay the hotel felt relaxed and calm which suited us following the Christmas hype! Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was very good.

Parking costs! The bedroom carpet wasn’t as clean and tidy as the rest of the room and hotel facilities, felt like it needed a good vacuum.

We had a lovely overnight stay in this beautiful old building. The staff were absolutely lovely. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were great and the cocktails were very good. Huge room. Nice and quiet.

The sink was very slow to drain and the bathroom could generally do with a bit of maintenance.

Parking was expensive although handy but that’s price you pay for being in centre. Noisy guests too, but appreciate not hotels fault, but after 3 hours staff could have said something to them!

Nothing really. If anything, the bar area could be a bit more cosy, divided up a bit. Due to the high ceiling, its a bit too open

The building was amazing, beautiful and very clean.

The location was very difficult to get to. Top of a hill for people with mobility problems like ourselves was quite difficult. When I booked the map said it was city centre but it's not.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of local area for parking etc and bed and bedding was very comfortable

felt the rooms were a little basic , and a little tired looking. No charging point or suitable plug at beside and lighting in bedroom was either very dull with beside lamps on or very bright with spot lights on . Also bathroom sink was leaking didn't notice untill we were checking out so reported to reception on our departure

We were only there for a short time However it was a good experience. The best part was the staff who were lovely.

Staff were super-helpful and pleasant to deal with The heritage building has a lovely ambience. The restaurant and bar were excellent too.

Good location for Hydro (15 min walk) One of ladies at reception was very welcoming and chatty when checking out. Lovely comfy bed with good feather pillows, clean white sheets, towels and robes.

For us, the room was too dark; Need lights in cupboards to see when making tea/coffee and for hanging clothes, Very loud creaking floorboards in our room and rooms around making it noisy, no full length mirror or make up mirror in bathroom, no face cloths or rail for hand towel. Room was dusty esp bathroom and radiators, crack marks in sink, No fridge in room. Our personal suggestions would make it a deluxe room as sold to us and match other deluxe rooms we’ve stayed in.

It was nicely decorated. Reception staff were very friendly.

My bathroom smelled a little "musty", maybe an underlying damp issue, without this I would have scored my stay higher, room was very comfortable.

Lovely building with tasteful decor and decorations. It started raining just as we were about to depart to our concert but the receptionist called for a taxi. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of continental or more tradional cooked items cooked to order.

I know this property for 25 years, it’s timeless.

The pillows were the worst pillows I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, only two towels in the room

Staff were outstanding. Friendly and Welcoming as always Rooms were perfect, and comfy lovely and chilled. Wine with dinner was nice.

Bar menu after 7pm was limited to burgers and wee bit pricey. Breakfast was a tad on the dry side , like not as fresh as normal even though it was 7am.

The showers temperature control was broken and we could hear the room next door talking

Adjoining room- the woman in the next room was very noisy, very early loud alarm and was shouting/talking very loudly from 7am - after doing the same with the tv too until late the night before
