Decor, breakfast and bed

No outside window, room was too warm

Good value. Good location.

Room was too hot. Shower difficult to get to right temperature.

Most things but the breakfast was amazing. Nice bar too. Room was lovely.

Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Did not use the bar or restaurant facilities nor did I have the breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was fresh.

Room had very dark decor (which I understand is typical of the Malmaison vibe) which I didn’t like. Could not find any air con but fortunately I was able to open a window, otherwise the room would have been very claustrophobic.

Location was good Parking 10 minute walk 🚶‍♀️

Restaurant staff was rude bar staff nice

Overnight stay in the city, room had all facilities you’d want and staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again in future.

Great barman on Friday night

The nearest carpark is a short distance away down a very steep hill. Check in staff never thought to suggest we leave our luggage before they directed us to the carpark. Meant we had to walk back up the hill carrying our luggage. As a result we wouldn’t stay here again

The staff were extremely helpful, we were able to check in early.

The room smelled a little of body odour, it was extremely dark and the windows looked out onto bins on one side and a roof on the other. The bistro was extremely dark at breakfast it would have been nice to have breakfast with the lights on.

Staff were super, very helpful and friendly. Bar area was good. Breakfast choice super. Decor and lighting kinda cool.

Rooms are a little tired. A slight damp smell and shower poor. Bed not as comfortable as their competitors. The bed sheets weren't made up properly. I had to fix the sheets on my arrival. All clean tho.

Noise from the room next door but was very quickly resolved by staff.

We loved the bespoke look and feel of the hotel especially the bar area, had to take a photo for friends.

I've been in bigger rooms, but we were sightseeing so not really a problem

Good location for the city centre,parking 10 minutes away by foot at a discounted rate,lovely breakfast,staff very friendly.

Hotel is very dark inside ,the reception and dining area this is the vibe of the hotel apparently as we asked the person on reception,take a light with you if you need to see the menu this is not good if you are visually impaired. Our room was above the service yard which we found out to our cost was not ideal,being woke up st 5am with the noise of deliveries then soon followed by bin lorrie.We did complain and to be fair we were offered a 50% Discount on our stay.Yes the hotel is in a city centre but guests need to be made aware that possible noise from the service yard could disrupt your stay.

Central location

I’m not a fan of dark interior decoration for hotel rooms. Personal preference is light and airy

Great location. Staff were first class. Separate living area. Minibar facilities, although need to make clear that some of the water is complementary.

Lack of natural lighting - internal lights had to be on at all times as you couldn't open up curtains due to being very overlooked by offices across the lane. Overly creaky floorboards - to extent you could even hear people walking around in their own rooms. Water pressure temperamental. Charging points on one side of bedroom not working.

Location was good, near to main areas with the city and building was unique, staff were lovely.

Room was very dark, bathroom was awful, had to turn sideways to get to toilet between wall and sink and then had to be careful not to hit head on towel rail. Could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and the corridor and decor needed a refurb it was tired and scruffy.

Relaxed vibe, very comfortable. Very amiable and helpful staff.

Breakfast wasn’t included with standard booking.

Trying to order room service was difficult and not straight forward on the app Also bedroom pillows were not comfortable

Staff were very helpful, couldn't have been better. Breakfast was first class. Facilities in the room were good with a wide range of TV stations available, including Sky Sports.

The room was small and now a bit dated. We stayed at Mal Maison a few years ago, and it was luxurious. Now the room was less so. It didn't feel totally clean as well, including the bed linen. Possibly in need of a refurb.

We upgraded to a suite which gave us an additional room with comfortable settees. Really made a difference to our stay.

Decor. Is dark, which is very nice but it means there are dark areas. We particularly noticed inside the wardrobe could have done with a bit of light inside.

I liked everything only slight complaint was I put my breakfast menu on my door nite before and it wasn’t taken, I should of said at reception but I was in a rush to get to a work course , but minor complaint , apart from that 10/10

The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially on reception.

In places it felt quite dated. The lighting in the restaurant was quite dark; sort of ok at dinner, but awkward at breakfast.

The staff at Malmaison were exceptional, especially Dominic the front of house manager. I was in Glasgow to visit my brother who has serious health issues, without a defined departure programme. The staff were extremely understanding and helped us to extend our stay when we needed to in the best conditions. We also arrived with three miniature chihuahuas and were made to feel very welcome and fully supported. Malmaison is comfortable, stylish and has a lovely breakfast room and small outside terrace. There is an atmospheric bar and dining area which is perfect for working with a computer or meeting friends. The staff are kind and warm and made our stay as comfortable as it could be given the circumstances. I would definitely return here on another trip to Glasgow.

Chez Mal dining room is a bit dark.

Room was beautiful with large bed. Carpet a little dated and bathroom could do with updating a little. Overall very comfortable and pleasant stay

Nice Room, Should really have booked a Twin. Parking was on Street. Just had to Pay the Meter. Decoration Modern, Perhaps Dark. Glass Water bottles a nice touch instead of Plastic. Change from the Norm.

I didn't realise the parking was on street. But there are Muti Storey Car Parks within walking distance. All amenities are close by (Walking distance) for shopping and Tesco's etc close and open late as city centre shopping as are bars and restaurants. Easy access to roads heading North. Main Stadiums , Celtic Park and Ibrox not to far of a drive away too.

We loved the theme of this hotel - we enjoyed our breakfast it was plentiful - the staff were extremely pleasant & helpful - we had a very nice room with a comfortable bed… & there are plans to refurbish this property… with this in mind & once completed we would stay at Malmaison again.

We found the floor of our room noisy & sadly the room was too dark… this is noticed throughout the property & is part of the ambient feel that reflects the style that they were aiming for… However the dining room was far too dark, Our Dinner was okay but not worth the price paid… Once again the staff were amazing especially at reception - finally there was no parking close to the hotel.

Good location. Clean. Staff great and food was good too.

No facecloths in the bathroom. There were toiletries which were nice but no body lotion. I was travelling light and hoped to rely on what the hotel provided. No air conditioning just a fan which was REALLY noisy. Final thing, room was so dark which made it difficult to put make up on. I know it's in keeping with the decor but a mirror light would be good.

Parking wasn't the best

The only issue I had was the lack of air conditioning in our room, we had one small desk fan which kept making a rattling noise
