Malmaison Hotel, Glasgow

Very nice accommodation - a little bit quirky! Excellent breakfast and good evening meal in the restaurant.

A bit dark in the restaurant.

I liked the hotel, not to far from city centre.

The hotel is cashless and for this reason I would not stay again, cash should be accepted as payment in the hotel. Not everyone like to pay by card

We often stay in Malmaisons and this one was just as good as others we’ve stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were really helpful and the building was interesting and quirky and has a great vibe.

A big negative for us was the location. The parking that was recommended was at the bottom of the steep hill that the hotel is on, this meant that we had a difficult walk up the hill with our suitcases which wasn’t ideal.

Room was big enough with a decent bathroom and bed.

A coffee machine would have been nice, the coffee bags aren't very good

We like Malmaison. Comfortable hotels that allow dogs and are in great locations. Lovely staff and great breakfasts. The Glasgow one was no exception. They even gave our dog a sausage for breakfast. She was delighted!

Our room was very warm. Despite help from the front desk staff our AC turned itself off in the night and we were sleeping on top of the covers in December.

Good location for the city, staff were very friendly, and the bed was comfortable.

The room felt very cramped, badly lit, and a bit tired. We booked a basic room but some more breathing space would have been welcome. It did feel like the room hadn't had a refurb for a while. We expected it to be a tad more impressive given the price and the hotel's reputation.

Absolutely, almost everything

The creaky floorboards in that room are absolutely beyond words, and it is the only issue I could possibly pick up regarding my stay - otherwise absolutely 100% perfect.

Stayed in the signature suite and the room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Our server fir Dinner was superb cery friendly and attentive.

The signature suite has a large lounge area that's not very well decorated (did not feel luxurious at all for the money paid) and the sofa looks like you could catch something from it. Its actually a disgrace. So worn out and stains on it. The management team should be embarrassed that its in their signature suite. So disappointing as overall it does not feel luxurious. Room cleanliness was ok. Just not what you expect from a malmaison.

Room was fine, however a couple of points that would have improved it; - Head board reduced the size of the bed, if the bed was spaced off the wall by 100mm it would have a been set correctly. as it is the bed is 100mm too short. my feet hung out of the bed - fix the bathroom extractor fan. it does not work - windows are screwed shut?

The Hotel was very nice and staff were good

It was clean. There was a kettle, iron & board. The bed was comfortable & bed linen of a good quality. The bar staff were the friendliest by far… at least they chatted back!

I always considered Malmaison a luxury brand. Unfortunately that wasn’t our experience this time. The toiletries have been pared back, no ‘frills’ as such in the room. I’d prefer space between twin beds. When staying with a friend don’t necessarily want to be bed to bed. Our room was right beside the service lift so it was noisy. The reception staff made no effort to welcome us; simply checked us in. No chat at all. Neither did any member of staff speak when we passed. No enquiry about our stay or anything that they could do for us. We asked for some milk for tea…. that seemed a bit of an inconvenience to them.

The Location for us was perfect.

You didn't get complimentary tea/coffee/milk to use along side the kettle.
