Centrally located, very friendly and helpful staff. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning was available in the room which was a bonus. Beautiful building

The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms were large and spacious and the bathroom was a nice size!

The hallway leading to our room and our room smelt really strongly of car fumes, we couldn’t establish where this smell was coming from but it smelt of petrol. The room we were given was not the one in the photo. We were looking forward to having the nice window in the picture (and upgraded our room specifically for it) but didn’t get that room.

Location is excellent, easy to city center and easy to the airport bus stop. Old & nice building.

The bathroom needs and upgrade but for a couple of nights and for this price it is OK.

Friendly staff, hotel has character and very central.

Heating on too high so was very hot in the room, although we turned on AC which helped.

The bed was very comfortable.

The room: The room advertised for, was not the room i was given and also there were lots of bird feathers in the room. The buffer method of dishing breakfast should be employed.

Stay was only one night. Staff were friendly on reception and happy to give information we asked about.

On arrival we were told about the discount we would receive for the car park across the road but wasn't told we had to register car as soon as we arrived. So because we only tried to register on leaving we couldn't get any discount and at £27 for one night it was quite steep. This system different from the one we had used before where you took your ticket to the car park office who would give the discount. Other than that the place was quite quiet and soulless really.

IT WAS EXPENSIVE BUT PROBABLY STANDARD PRICE (OUR FIRST HOTEL IN GLASGOW).

The breakfast was very nice and tasty. Just need to remember that it's a menue breakfast noty a bufet one. But the service was really quick.

We had two rooms, both were nice and spacious. Both were very clean. We booked them and requested that we have rooms close together as we had children in the other room but when we turned up the rooms were on opposite sides of the building and needed specific passcards to access so we managed to change to another room which was closer but still not that close. Parking was easy, location great.

The lifts were out which we felt for someone with mobility problems this would be an issue and we felt that we should have been warned about this in advance of arriving.

Staff are lovely, comfortable bed and a great location.

Housekeeping was so loud in the morning, no chance of a lie in, which was needed.

Breakfast was exceptionally good. Freshly cooked.

Bathroom requires update. Difficult for housekeeping to keep this clean. Asked for change of room. Only marginally better. Lift not working all week.

The first room they gave us, it smelt like sewage - I went to the front counter and switched us to a better room.

It was an historic building with character and in an ideal location to meet our needs for the weekend.

The bed was very soft (it may have had a mattress topper) and therefore not particularly comfortable. The carpet in the bedroom looked as if it had seen better days (dark brown in colour and wrinkled as if not laid properly). The carpet in the public spaces appeared grubby and in need of cleaning.

Staff were incredibly welcoming, chatty and helpful. The building was beautiful and in good condition.

Unfortunately the bed was too soft for us. I actually rolled off onto floor overnight....... No other concerns
