Location and style

Breakfast was slow due to low staffing levels and some basic items not available

The location was great, loved the building. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Room was a little small.

Very large spacious room. Good value for money

The room seemed to have a musty smell in it not sure if it was due to it being an old building or if someone had been smoking in the room

Brekafast was great, it was all cooked and prepared from a menu, there was no buffet option.

quite hard to close the bathroom door in the room I was in but having stayed in multiple rooms oin this hotel, that is not true of all rooms.

Interior was old world and historic central Glasgow location - with caged lift and solid atrium design. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly. The Brasserie restaurant was also high quality and staff friendly. Price was reasonable for such a central location.

Wifi upload speed was very low. Download was acceptable. Would have been great to have a plug socket with a USB socket

Breakfast was freshly cooked. The young lady on reception was lovely and very friendly.

Service for breakfast was very slow not just for us but for others.

Abode is in a great central location to easily explore the city. It was clean and tidy and the room has all the required amenities including a decent hairdryer which was much appreciated, especially when travelling with hand luggage. The staff at the property were all lovely!! The blonde haired lady (sorry we didn’t get her name) who checked us in on Friday evening and out this morning is a credit to the hotel! Also the young guy who served us at breakfast each morning was very friendly and courteous. Nothing was to much trouble. The hotel had a lovely quiet and calm atmosphere. Our stay was comfortable, great value for money and we would definitely stay again.

We didn’t really find anything we didn’t like, just thought check out was slightly early at 11am

Went full four in a bed in Abode lol I could not find fault. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Had everything I could possibly need.

Not the most modern of showers but I was there for the bath anyway.

Location, the building great and staff were friendly.

The bed moved quite a bit as it had wheels. I had never slept on a bed with wheels before, so each time when my boyfriend turned around during his sleep, the best just moved. In addition, our room was next to the road, so it was quite noisy at night time.

Wonderful breakfast menu with table service by lovely staff. Could also select more than one dish off menu. Loved art deco lift and paintings on top floor of hotel. Top floor bedroom front facing was lighter and reasonably quiet.

Moved from back bedroom due to overwhelming polish smell and very dark. Then moved to front facing room at top of hotel which had leak on window ledge, advised hotel on departure.

Great location and comfortable room.

Bathroom bit cramped & dated.

Bathroom was clean and loved the smell of the soaps and hand lotion. Bed was comfy though the room we got had a wall view and heard the chimney outside. But all in all room was good.

The bar area was lovely although the price of 2 drinks we thought was atrocious. Not surprised it was empty! Would not have a drink there again!

Location was perfect right in the middle of all the places we wanted to see. And 5 mins from theatre. Room was ideal comfy bed , bathroom a bit dated but ok for a couple of nights. Beautiful building dating back so many years. Front desk staff couldn't be more lovely and helpful.

Bathroom dated. Had to request extra tea and bath towels as only 1 left in bathroom for 2 people.

Location is perfect and we upgraded to superior double and the bed was fantastic.

It was quite a cold room on the 2nd floor we tried putting the heating up but wasn’t great.

The room was very clean and nice, the staff were more than welcoming and helpful. The room temperature was warm which is good especially in winter.

The TV was very old fashioned, the remote wasn't the best and hardly worked (had to use the buttons on the side) had a netflix option on the TV remote but it didn't actually have Netflix we later found out.

Good location and comfy bed ! Very nice shower.

Stunning period property in the heart of Glasgow.

It was all good.

The twin room was more like a suite with lovely armchairs and table. And it was very quiet.

The snacks and drinks left out on dresser were chargeable. It just slightly cheapened the room? Also the plastic container for them was broken so it was just all a bit tacky.

The location is great with parking available opposite. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable with a good mattress and pillows. The breakfast menu was more than adequate and the service was prompt. The staff were very attentive generally.

Nothing to dislike.

Such a wonderful old building beautifully adapted to create a very stylish hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending this hotel very highly. Will certainly stay here again when in Glasgow.

We were in a room at the front and unfortunately it was very noisy at night with people turning out of nightclubs. Next time we will ask for a room at the back!

Big comfy bed, proper bath

Only quibble was that the toilet handle had to be pumped 15 times to get the loo to flush. I mentioned it at reception on the way out.

Friendly staff very helpful. Found out room Smokey on arrival so was upgraded to a better one.

Nice quiet hotel with really good sized rooms. I was very happy with that! Also they had a coffee pod machine in the room which I thought was excellent.

The up hill walk from the CBD location was a little tiring for my father in his 70's, but I had no issues with it at all. So older occupants might find the walk into CBD a little taxing.

The cleanliness and post modern decor. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. The bath was luxurious . Loved the ambient lighting in the bathroom. Cosy roo ..

Noisy doors slamming. Could be heard from far away. Noisy busy street location, made for a restless sleep. Poor sound proofing.
