High end and classy

Here are some reasons why I adore this hotel as a return guest and it's always my top pick whenever I visit Edinburgh. - The staff are super friendly and welcoming. There's always someone at the front desk, no matter the time of day. Room service was also very responsive. - Excellent equipment and cleanliness. Particularly, the kettle is quite clean with no limescale (which is something I value highly). - The scenery is breathtakingly stunning, as the seascape of Edinburgh can be seen from my room during my stay(s). - The location is very close to both Edinburgh's New Town and Old Town, making it easy to find. Nevertheless, it's also situated in a residential area, so it's quite tranquil since evenings. - Overall interior design aesthetics (personal preference).

Not much to dislike really

I adored every moment. It was my second stay at this hotel and it felt like a dream once again. The suite was refined and elegant, the entire property truly sumptuous, and every member of the team was exceptionally warm and attentive. I shall happily return time and time again.

This was such a beautiful historic property offering upscale breakfast, large and comfortable rooms, and lovely amenities. It felt more like staying at home than in a small hotel room. In addition, the staff couldn’t have been more lovely and welcoming. Special shout out to Lukasz who was so kind in advice on what to do and where to go but also tailoring his recommendations to what he learned about us. We loved just chatting with him as we came and went. Truly lovely guy

We felt a little warm at first as we love sleeping in a cold room and the staff thoughtfully had turned the heat on for our arrival during a cold fall visit, but they helped us immediately with changing the heat and using a fan, so truly little to complain about

the staff and the public rooms were wonderful. We loved our bedroom the style and comfort. The decor was stunning and appreciated the old world look to the room.

Two issues in the room (202) were that the heat was difficult to regulate and the bathroom heated towel rack was extremely dirty and dusty which was a big yuck. There was limited light over the sink in the bathroom.

What a jewel of a hotel! Beautiful, wonderful staff, restaurant was exceptional, nice quiet location. If our travels bring us back to Edinburgh, we will stay here again in a heartbeat!

The only minor issue was having to squeeze past smokers outside on the steps to the hotel entrance. Not a good look for such a classy hotel.

We were delighted to stay at the Bonham Hotel, and were made to feel welcome upon our arrival and throughout our stay. In particular, we were well looked after by Lukas and Francisco at reception, who provided us with tips on where to visit in and around Edinburgh, as well as making our stay even more enjoyable. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and they kindly ensured that we could celebrate well. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a fabulous view towards Leith and the ocean in the distance. Everything was clean and well organised, and we could also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some snacks in our room. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options, as well as the opportunity to sample the local Scottish cuisine.

The bed mattress was a little hard, but we still slept well.

Our room was located next to the lift and it did wake us up in the night. We were only there 2 nights so didn’t feel the need to ask for a move.

The Bonham Hotel was the perfect place to end our trip in Edinburgh. The location is absolutely ideal, allowing easy access to many of the city’s attractions and lively neighbourhoods and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed, with high-quality facilities that made our stay both comfortable and luxurious. Overall, The Bonham exceeded our expectations in every way, and it was truly a memorable conclusion to our journey. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Edinburgh!

WIndows did not open and the Dyson aircon doesn't really cool - got quite stuffy.

Room was nice and spacious, well appointed and had a beautiful view. The breakfast was good and provided both continental breakfast and an ala cart menu. The bar was old style fancy. A beautiful environment for a drink before going out.

There isn't much to not to like at the Bonham. Even though the elevator was a Euro sized the stairs were lovely.

Best breakfast. Staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Emily, who made us look forward to every breakfast. They provided daily cleaning. Sparkling clean areas and sit out rooms, bar. We had really good feelings here, and the location was approximate to every key place. The room was equipped with every amenities you can think of, including the very basic ones. We are definitely coming back soon.

The chandelier light was not working

We had the room with beautiful view overlooking the Dean Village greens & river. The room was clean and specious, nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom kept in original design which maybe not so convenient but we thought it is lovely imagining the past history of the building. Those complimentary coffee/tea and daily cute snacks we found in the room made our stay relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant, the beautiful dining room. Thank you for your warm hospitality.
