Situation, parking at the rear. All in all a great place to stay in the centre of Edinburgh.

Excellent deco and location, friendly and helpful staff.

Stunning - Everything was perfect. The staff were attentive but not too attentive that they were obvious. Rooms were clean , very cosy , comfortable beds, great selection of toiletries. Tea, coffee , fresh milk , water and cookies daily. Wonderful selection for breakfast. Amazing food for lunch and dinner. 24 hour bar for residents. I fell in love with this hotel and cannot wait for a reason to return . We were also there for a wedding , and the hotel rooms used for the wedding were perfect as well. Thank you so much The Bonham.

They make a cracking old fashioned

Outstanding hotel, with spacious, luxurious rooms, elegantly decorated, and provided with all sort of useful amenities to make the guest feel comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options of cold and warm food, and was served in a very stylish room, with exquisite furniture, beautiful paintings on the walls, and a nice vista from the windows.

Expensive, but worth it.

Very friendly staff as soon as we arrived. The hotel was stunning and very clean the rooms were perfect and clean .everything we needed for the weekend. The bar service was great and the food was lovely we can't fault a thing.

The hotel was stunning and in a perfect location. The staff were absolutely amazing from the start of our stay until the end. This is possibly the best hotel I’ve stayed in when visiting Edinburgh. Will definitely be back

Location is excellent. Calm tranquil area with beautiful buildings and just a short walk from the city centre and the tourist locations. Lovely staff and great breakfast selection. Our room was towards the back of the hotel and allowed for a very peaceful nights sleep. Second time we have stayed at this hotel and would highly recommend it. There may be other cheaper options but you gat what you pay for !

The hotel is absolutely beautiful in architecture and interior decoration The staff offering us an umbrella as we left to go into town as it had started to rain was a very nice gesture.

I was asked if I would like my change at the bar. I always feel you should simply be given your change then you can make a decision if you would like to tip the staff.

Love everything about the place!

This hotel is amazing. Staff and hotel definitely met our expectation. We also booked the afternoon tea and it was delicious. Will definitely book again!

Beautiful building in a quiet location but at the heart of Edinburgh's West End. Comfortable rooms, some with great views over the city and excellent breakfast.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet part of the city but still within walking distance to most sites. Staff were extremely personal and went above and beyond to ensure we were at ease. Also their recommendations were fantastic

The epitomy of elegance. Can't rate this hotel highly enough. Everything about our stay was perfect, from our room upgrade from superior to deluxe, the excellent service from all staff and the quiet location.A leisuely stroll to shopping areas of George Street and Princes Street. Plenty of cafe bistros, array of eateries and bars.Bus stops aplenty less than 5 minutes walk from hotel.Highly recommend eating at No. 35, food is devine. Not far from the many attractions if you wish to walk.Royal mile took us about 25 minutes at a very leisurely pace.A perfect couple of nights.

That I couldn't stay longer!

The hotel is in a quieter area, but within easy walking distance of Prince's Street. A beautiful building in a perfect location. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The staff were all extremely polite, friendly, and professional. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff who make the hotel what it is, amazing.

Amazing hotel! I felt like I am in old Movie! Location was amazing and everything inside room was clean and on very high value. Service room is available 24/7. We don't had any problems to order food on middle of the night. Staff who is working there making service on top level. It was wonderful!

Very helpful staff when we arrived too early to check in. The period building was lovely, with a lounge, library and bar, and a huge dining room. The breakfast had lots of choice - a buffet table with cereals, cheese/ham, pastries, fresh bread and Prosecco! And there was a hot menu too. The room was warm, with a big bed and TV, a fantastic shower and toiletries, and lovely views.

It's a small quibble but the vegetarian hot breakfast was a bit underwhelming - the tattie scone looked like a shop bought potato cake.

It is a wonderful hotel

Absolutely stunning decor, fabulous beds, the food is 6 star and the staff memorable, fantastic place highly highly recommended. Don't agree with paying for parking at a hotel, any hotel not just the Bonham.

Paying for parking is archaic, don't care what the rest of the city is doing its fundamentally wrong.

Lots of complementary little treats

The hotel is very nice, old building , 10-15 mins walk from Edinburgh city center. Very nice bar and lobby, nice and full of character rooms. Very clean and good hospitality.

Price - very expensive and not a good enough value for money. One can find not less attractive hotels in lower prices.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was large, comfortable and very quite, the Hotel Bar was exceptional and the drinks selection was very impressive with a professional and pleasant staff. It felt like the perfect place to stay for a Christmas get away and it will be top of our list for our next stay in Edinburgh.

I have loved absolutely everything about this hotel: Amazing staff, gorgeous room with comfy beds and bathroom with proper heating, absolutely perfect breakfast, beautiful decor - I could not find a single flaw and could not have asked for a better hotel.

We love staying here. You are well looked after and feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door.

Our room and the room of our friends were exceptionally hot through night,also the mattresses were very uncomfortable. To be fair, we did not complain at the time,

The establishment is very nice, the style and athmosphere made our stay very memorable. Staff is very willing to help and welcome you to enjoy Edinburgh and its surroundings.

The beds are unreasonable hard. After reading reviews we should have asked to have something adjustments, but we did not and regret it. If you are comfortably sleeping on a very very firm spring mattress you will be okay, but for all other sleepers ask to have it adjusted.

Personal but not intimate. Attentive but discrete staff. Facilities and food lovely. Clean and quiet.

Rooms were a bit warmer than ideal for us, but perfect for others.
