Ideal location for city centre whilst being out of the hustle and bustle Very comfortable room with gorgeous view across the Firth of Forth

The chairs in the dining room are a bit too low for the tables.

Beautiful building set in a quiet and elegant neighborhood, just a 10-minute walk from Princes Street and right behind the charming Dean Village. The staff provides impeccable service and the bed was extremely comfortable!

The toilet cistern was outdated and did not function properly, and the room was rather small for a superior double. Given the high nightly rate, breakfast should definitely be included

The evening food wasn’t the best. For a five star hotel we expected a lot better

It was just what I imagined. Appreciated the cleanliness and the hospitality. We enjoyed walking around Dean and Stockbridge, which were close to the hotel.

The breakfast at The Bonham was excellent everything you could want and the Staff were exceptionally helpful to your needs. The location was a little bit away from Princes Street, but this was good, but you need to be fairly fit to keep walking. Having said that the Taxi service was exceptional and VFM. Our room was beautiful and the building was amazing, so much history.

Cannot think of anything we didn't like, if we had to be critical I would say the bathroom was a bit tight to get into, but that wasn't really a problem at all.

The location was an easy tram ride from the airport, walkable to the city center, and just around the corner from Dean's Village. The room was lovely and comfortable.

It was a tight fit to have 2 small suitcases out in the room.

The location, the hotel decor, the quality of staff and their service! It’s a home away from home where nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It’s a fabulous place to stay and relax!

Style, friendliness of staff.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel i was impressed by the building and the welcome we received. The public areas of the hotel and room itself were decorated in a very classy style and the hotel was immaculate in terms of presentation and cleanliness. We only had breakfast at the the hotel on 2 days but the menu choice was excellent and the quality of the food was first class.

I find it hard to be critical at all, but if i was being picky I would have liked a slightly larger en suite bathroom with the room. The bathroom we had was immaculately clean there just wasnt much space to sit out toileteries etc

Lovely building in a quiet part of Edinburgh yet convenient for public transport and city attractions, beautifully decorated and room was well appointed with fabulous views across to Leith.

The view from the room was nice. The staff was very attentive.

Ideal location for visiting Edinburgh attractions and convenient for meeting local friends. Wonderful to have private parking in the centre of a city.

Everything was perfect: great breakfast, helpful staff, well appointed room. We think the 'muzak' at breakfast was intrusive and could have been better chosen.

Couldn’t fault anything

Staff were very friendly (first class service), view from window was amazing, breakfast was nice. Impressive cocktail and whisky menu.

Definitely more expensive than we would normally pay, but felt if everything's expensive in Edinburgh, why not pay a bit more and treat ourselves. Room was slightly on the warm side.

Absolutely, stunning property, in A+ condition!

This is being picky, but it is a bit out of the center of the main tourist area.

The experience was absolutely magnificent, the room, the welcome, and the services were fabulous, except for one small thing that really bothered me: drinking at the bar and having the bill thrown onto the table by the redheaded woman with glasses is something that I hope won't happen again in the future; it was totally unacceptable. Apart from that, my stay was idyllic.

Location, style and the room we got. Staff were all pleasant and breakfast was good. It’s a beautiful building.

Parking expensive at £20 per night. Bed was a bit too hard. Toilet in room smelled a bit unpleasant but there was no opening window.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and it smells, oh, so good!

Bed and pillows are not really comfortable, housekeeping is rather superficial. The shower is amazing for healthy young people. Cannot see older people using that comfortably.

Great location - it’s walking distance from the city centre. The common rooms are comfortable and the level of service was excellent.

The bedroom was a little on the small side and there were parts of the property that were on the wrong side of ‘shabby chic’.

The hotel is in a good location, easily walkable to the main attractions and city centre. The room was fully kitted out with radio, coffee machine they even squeezed a desk and table into the small space albeit a bit unnecessarily! Everything you need for a stay was included (iron, shoehorn, clothes brush, toiletries, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, slippers, robe)

Not all rooms have views, the basement room we were allocated was (a bit) disappointing compared to the description of all rooms having a view. The room was small but was fine for one night, but it was really warm due to the radiators being on and no way to turn them off. There was a fan in the room that helped. I am being critical due to the rating of the hotel, I would stay again but request a different room as it was a bit disappointing for the price.

Beautifully presented and spacious. Spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely helpful. Quiet location, but plenty of places to eat close by and the castle and the Royal Mile are within walking distance…albeit uphill.

Well decorated and beautiful building

This is undeniably the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. The bed mattress was wonderful, the sofa's (both of them) were super comfy. Even the dining chairs were excellent.
