The Bonham Hotel, Edinburgh

Very nice hotel and lovely bar.

Excellent breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented. Room service late night sandwich was more than I was expecting and very tasty. The hotel is stunning in decor, and very helpful staff in reception. A wonderful stay and will definitely go again.

The service at breakfast was slow and a bit haphazard, very tasty food and didn’t mind waiting as freshly prepared, but we weren’t told about the juices, fruit & yoghurt selection so we missed out on that. Coffee wasn’t very hot but brought a jug of hot water when asked.

Beautifully decorated hotel in a convenient and quiet location with engaging and helpful staff.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful street. The room was spacious, elegant and spotless. The whole experience was great. The afternoon tea with delicious. But best of all the staff; from Liz at customer service to everyone else: extremely professional and making you feel welcome and at your service. Thank you. We will be back.

Beautiful property. Excellent room and good price. Only criticism is car parking is £20 which considering it’s a private car park belonging to hotel is a bit steep.

It was grand looking and yet very welcoming. The road is quiet and yet a short walking distance from the centre. The staff were amazing and friendly- it made our first time to Edinburgh very special.

This was my 3rd stay at the Bonham since Christmas. The service is exceptional, the rooms are stunning, if you’re looking for a luxurious stay the Bonham wont disappoint. The cocktails in the bar are fabulous too!

Great position in Edinburgh. Lovely hotel. The decor and ambiance of the hotel is 5 star. Good breakfast. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. Water chilling in the fridge in the room which was a good idea.

Bed a bit hard and no plug socket near mirror for hairdryer and £20 for parking but overall the hotel is a 5 star hotel.

The opulence, the chandelier in the bedroom, the location... what was there not to like!

The heat in the bedroom was stifling, with none of the radiators on. Thankfully there was a Dyson fan to cool down with.

Everything at the Bonham was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was updated, beautiful and the comfort level was superb! The staff were all lovely.

It wasn't in the center of things, but we had physical issues which prevented a great deal of walking.

Staff were excellent and the location was perfect for exploring. The rooms were immaculately decorated.

The room was compact, as was the bathroom, but it didn’t ruin our experience.

Very attentive and proactive staff members made my stay more comfortable. Beddings were so high quality. I loved that there was a bathtub. Food was exceptional as well(a la carte lunch).

The property’s location is a bit far from city centre. But the location made Bonham hotel quiet and serene.

The room, entire experience, and staff were 10/10. I'll 100% be back and recommend this to everyone I know visiting edinburgh.

I can honestly say it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Every single staff member was lovely to us.its these wee things that we notice .

Beautiful building, tastefully decorated. It is in a quiet location with spectacular views across to the hills and bridges. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel in an amazing area of Edinburgh within easy walking distance of many of Edinburgh’s main attractions. Very friendly staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. Hope to be back again soon.

A beautiful period property, oozing charm and sophistication from its many original features. The hotel is perfectly located in the West End district of Edinburgh, close to cafes and bars and within 15 minutes walk of the main tourist sites. It's also well placed for the Stockbridge district with its many attractive streets, crescents and cafes/restaurants and cosy pubs. Ours was an elegant twin-bedded room with a fabulous picture window overlooking the green. Bathroom products and tea/coffee facilities were beyond expectation and very good quality. Friendly, professional staff added a great finishing touch!

A minor point but the window didn't open, so we needed to run the electric fan all night.

Tastefully decorated throughout in keeping with the period of the property. Good service from all the staff. A good location to walk into the city.

Service charge on drinks in the overpriced bar. The prices were high enough not to put more on top just to carry the drinks 2 meters to the table from the bar.

Room was excellent with a great view and amenities. Breakfast was one for Champions! Location pretty near perfect for my needs.

The Bonham is an absolutely gorgeous property. The location in the West End is beautiful and quiet. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, and our room was nice and spacious.

Parking is a bit tricky, and you can't reserve a spot, but we were lucky enough to get one. We also ended up in an accessible room, which wasn't inconvenient for us, but it felt a little strange to be occupying that room instead of someone who might need it.

Asked for a late check out for an hour but had 2x phone calls and a staff member knock to remind me. That felt a bit annoying

Short break, lovely city, lovely hotel formed of what I think were three huge townhouses (they would have been spectacular when individual homes), hotel an 8 minute walk from Princes Street and from there all the city sights accessible. No high rises, just amazing architecture.

We booked a deluxe king room. It was beautiful. The views from the bay window were magnificent. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and we appreciated the coffee machine, kettle and snacks. Our bathroom was lovely, as were the complimentary products. Two reading chairs and a nice table added a touch of luxury to the room.

Located close to the lift meant that the room was a bit noisy but it wasn’t a problem for us, and it was never noisy late at night.

We were a group of friends, staying in single bedrooms. We loved the location, common facilities and bar, breakfast, artwork, rooms and staff especially.

There was nothing we didn´t love.
