Great location and exceptional service!! The loft bar and restaurant was lovely and totally generous with the mini bar - all complimentary! Also the welcome champagne was just the ticket 😎

Nice modern hotel. Excellent sized rooms. Free snacks and drinks. Perfect location.

Lack of a true lobby

Location was great, decor was outstanding. Free mini bar was a bonus. Very comfortable rooms. Well worth the stay.

Good. The main thing was that the breakfast was hot, which maybe due to the fact that I was there at 7am.

Lovely hotel in a very convenient location, just across the road from Waverley station. Very clean, comfy modern room and, completely complimentary minibar which is unheard of. Also Nespresso coffee maker and kettle. Really friendly and helpful staff, you also get offered a glass of champagne at check-in. Would definitely stay here again :)

Great location across the road from train station, 5 mins walk from Royal Mile. Spotless, great room with soundproof windows, comfy bed. Plenty of choice for breakfast & amazing. Staff exceptional, very knowledgeable of the area.

Right across the street from the train station with a close to the Royal Mile at the side of the building! Heavy wood panels at windows closed out the noise perfectly!

Hotel was beautifully appointed, staff was super. If you are coming or going by train, it is right next to Waverly Station, Super convenient.

The hotel is on the lower level of Edinburgh,and to reach the Royal mile you had o climb mucho steps,Wonderful hotel, but Oh the uphill walking hurt

Lighting in bathroom poor during the night. Couldn’t cool the room down.

Loved the style of the hotel - very contemporary. The setting for the breakfast was exceptional (fabulous views), and the staff were lovely. The level of allergy awareness was excellent in that every morning we were asked at breakfast if anyone had an allergy (one of us had), so that was great.

Would have liked a member of staff to be in the entrance foyer at all times, as sometimes we didn't feel fully safe there (twice a member of the public - not staying in the hotel - followed us into the foyer. Nothing happened, but felt it would be better if there was a member of staff there. Sometimes a staff member was there during the day, but mostly was not, during our stay)

Amazing hotel - great location in heart of city. Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast fantastic and served by a great team. Champagne on arrival and at breakfast a lovely touch. Room well designed and comfy. Minibar and in room snacks a nice treat. Would 100% stay here again.

Maybe a chocolate instead of Champagne as we were not interested in drinking, but a lovely offer just the same.

The mattress was very thin and lumpy Just get proper inner spring please.

Small thing, the small mirror in the bathroom was not adequately installed so you couldn’t swing it out to use it- it just dangled.

The location was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings were quality and the room was clean.

It is very near the train station. The room I stayed had complimentary drinks from the fridge as well as coffee, tea, snacks. Lovely bedroom slippers. We like that the sink is outside of the WC and shower area.

Price is a bit steep. They don’t have triple sharing room. Which makes travelling with an elderly or a teenager difficult.

Very convenient. Was just there overnight for work. Always has a fun vibe. Room very well appointed, and free well-stocked minibar.

Would like to be able to open the windows.

The location on Market Street is perfect to quickly explore Old & New Town. The rooms are very modern & nicely decorated. The breakfast (coffee, pastries, ...) was really good compared to many other hotels in this category. The hotel rooms are equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and the shower is fantastic.

Maybe give the option for king size bed for couples but really just a detail to be improved.

It was excellent in terms of location, space, services and food. The breakfast is excellent, I recommend to include it when making the reservation, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is first rate competent and very friendly. . Great place to stay in Edinburgh.

Just the taxi servicing the hotel. You cannot trust them as they would simply take anyone without respecting the rules. I recommend to request an Uber

We really enjoyed our stay at Market Street Hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable & tastefully appointed and the staff are great. The location is terrific on the border of Old & New Edinburgh...close to all of the sites, near the train & bus station (very convenient for catching day tours) and surrounded by lots of restaurants. We highly recommend.

Location is excellent especially if arriving by train or using train to visit other parts of Scotland. Rooms are good and breakfast is excellent

Being charged 500+GBP for Tuesday night compared with 300+ for Monday and Wednesday nights was a disappointment. A blended rate for each of the three days would attract less attention and angst.

Room was clean.

Room felt smaller than I thought. Never made it to have traditional breakfast since they end mid morning. The bathroom shower soap etc smelled to much for my liking. Felt it wasn’t a neutral scent but more of a manly scent.
