The Marker Hotel, Dublin

We were upgraded to the Presidential Suite.Breakfast was probably the best that I have had in a Hotel.The Bar was relaxing and comfortable staff were excellent.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Great bathroom, comfy bed, tasty tea in the room. The staff were unreal - went above and beyond on every detail. They are a 5 star component to this establishment.

Many additional charges! I booked to stay with my 2 dogs, that was additional charge. I wanted to park my car, that was additional charge. Breakfast came at an additional charge. For context I spent a little more on accommodation on this trip so these things would be included. In this respect it felt more like a Travel Lodge. While I would recommend, I would caution to research additional charges, because there will be some!

The bedroom was quiet and the bed so comfortable. The spa was lovely.

It was a gorgeous hotel, amazing rooms.

Lovely customer service, nice and clean room. Brilliant building design and theme. Loved that the room had a bath and double pillows. The hotel felt very luxurious. A kind guy offered us some lemonade during checking in, and then another nice guy took our bags to our hotel room. Not too far from the city centre. Overall, I am very happy, and we will definitely come back again sometime.

Situation of bar, where we ate in the evening was a bit draughty as near main entrance door. Felt a little rushed by staff.

We were offered a room upgrade on arrival which made the trip extra special. Our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived in the room. Great stay can't wait to stay again.

Beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, with both a bath and shower. Room size was excellent. Guest services / concierge were exceptionally helpful.

Receptionist on check in was in training, so we didn’t get a full overview of the facilities, requiring us to go back and ask later. Due to our early check in, we were also told that we would be sent a text when the room was ready, we received no notification. We also only received turndown one night out of the 3.

Hotel is modern, well located and has excellent food and drink options. Breakfast was very good and the bar also pleasant to spend a hour or so.

Totally my issue and my fault but parking is hard to locate. I ended up in the car park that didn’t have a hotel rate even though it’s 40m from the hotel.

The hotel was gorgeous, the man at the front desk was so friendly and helpful he was young and had light hair I didn’t get his name! We got an upgrade as it was our first time staying, the room was unbelievable so modern clean and comfortable. The spa and pool is beautiful!

We were waiting on our lunch for at least 40 mins but the waiter did come over and explain why! It came out cold but nothing else to complain about!

They made appropriate arrangements for specific requests we had (for example, firm mattress). Excellent spa, good food, and drinks.

Some staff in the bar area do not seem to have much experience in dealing with customers.

Everything the soup was out of this world and the spa All round great young guy who met me outside with luggage to the older gentlemen at the top validating the parking and the staff on desk all excellent my 3rd visit .

No live sports for people wanting to watch sport on the weekends

Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bathroom was perfect with a choice of waterfall shower or bathtub. The restaurant was great and had a wide selection of food and wines to choose from and the bar in the lobby had a varying menu of cocktails and alcohol to suit everyone’s taste. The spa facilities were excellent however we did notice a discarded cup of water that had sat in the steam room for the two days that we visited so it made us wonder how often these facilities were cleaned.

The room lighting wasn’t great, at night time especially my girlfriend found it rather difficult to get a decent lighting spot to do her makeup so bringing a ring light or lugging your facial care and make up to the bathroom might be the best option. The room view was in all honesty not great. We appeared to face inwards and had a view of the other rooms of the hotel and some of them appeared to be in a bad state with cracked windows or dirty curtains some of them appeared to not even be in use with empty rooms and uncovered mattresses, for a 5 star hotel I was expecting a better view if I’m honest.

We stayed the first night in Merrion Dublin, due to the fact that it Merrion was no. 1 on Trip Advisor, undoubtedly Merrion has a charming location, in a very respectable district, also with a beautiful internal garden, but apart from that, we do not regret that we chose Anantara for our next stay, because the stay was wonderful, different but also great - extremely comfortable room, great beds, beautiful bedding, royal bathroom, very nice service, plus a view from the window of the modern part of the city and the docks. Great place and stay1

The attention of the staff, the taste of the food, the pool was great. The hotel was clean and the bedroom was clean and tidy we were giving an upgrade due to our wedding anniversary which was a lovely touch.
