Large but private dorm rooms

Main toilets unclean and no locks on doors. When ordering hot drinks informed by male staff member he would bring them over. Failed to do this several times and denied ever saying it!

ordered a private room - Room wasn't cleaned - To a level where I found crisp pieces under the bedding. I know this is a hostel, but especially given I came early and was said I can'y check in since the house cleaning crew's working on the room - I'd expect to get a clean bed at the very least...

Communal areas were nice and location was in reasonable place with tram nearby.

Bathrooms and toilets were outdated and smelt of damp and mould. Beds should have curtains up for privacy. Score would be higher not for those issues.

The reception and cleaning staff were great!! Cannot emphasize this enough. Very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect! easy access to public transport and supermarkets and 24hr shop in walking distance. Food is good, and the coffee isn't over priced, Bar has pool tables and other games. Always a good atmosphere around the place. Very safe.

Some small maintenance issues i.e. locks on cubicle doors and public mens bathroom. Rubber mattress cover, practical but not comfortable. No kitchenette or microwave so you have to buy hot food there or eat out. The bar and reception open plan so no quiet 3rd space for guests.

Location was great and self check in was easy. The addition of a bar (with relatively good prices, I dare say) on premises was terrific.

The room itself was dated, and air ventilation is relatively poor. Even though we checked in on Thursday, a day when I wouldn't expect the neighbors to be too rowdy, there was a birthday celebration going on from 8pm to 3am in the hallway. Regardless, all was well - although their website doesn't show the correct check out times if you buy late check out. But we weren't bothered, so I have no complains there.

The fact that there isn't a bathroom for each gender on every floor is annoying. It's a pity that there are so many things neglected in the maintenance of the facilities. Many of the doors of the bathroom cabin are broken, and so on. It wouldn't take too much to have it in a nice condition.

People, the place is friendly and each night there is a funny activity where you can met new people. Also the bar is a good place to get a beer. The room is cozy enough, bathroom is ok. Each bed has its own locker where a handbag and other stuff can fit inside, you have to get your own padlock, or you have to pay it extra.

When booking seemed so cool, but realistically nothing was like advertised. For Every little thing it was necessary to pay. No kitchen, no hot water, no microwave, nothing. Its a hostel but on a hotel vibe and scam-ish. No one tells you that there is a water dispenser, it behind the bar and the vending machines. sus . Every game, fun activity is based on payment. Breakfast combo is a scam, 10 euro for the menu when booking then you discover that is the same price as getting it there. The menu is mediocre. The bed is a bit little for me and im average.

Great location! Everything is walkable from our hostel. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Toilet flush problem, we had our own bathroom but we need to wait for the flush to fill with water and then we can use it. We told this to the staff and they said the same thing 🥴 The room was clearly not vacuumed properly cos there was a lot of dust flying off.

The woman at the reception was nice and friendly. It has a large social / eating area I like that it has hairdryers in the bathroom

When I first arrived to check in the guy at the reception didn’t even acknowledge me or say hello, so instantly felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. (Used the self check in instead) The hallways had a very strong bad smell which I could also smell in the room at night and struggled to sleep because of it. The rooms also aren’t cleaned properly because when I checked in to my top bunk there was leftover rubbish on the shelf including used eye contact lenses 🤢 you also have to make up your own bed which I’ve never experienced in a hostel before. Other reviews have similar experiences so it seems no changes are being made about this.

I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom - the room was clean, with a comfortable single bed, desk, chair, and space to hang clothes. There was also a radiator in the room which was easy to operate and set to your desired temperature, which was very much appreciated given how cold Dublin was whilst I was visiting! Despite the hostel being busy and there being a rather large group booking who were staying on the same floor, I didn't experience any issues with noise, and slept soundly during both nights of my stay.

I stayed on the first floor, and the shared bathroom facilities on this level had a lack of privacy/security. In other hostels that I've stayed in, if the shared facilities are gendered, they will be in areas that are only accessible to the people that have booked coordinating gendered rooms. However, the female facilities on the first floor were accessible by literally anyone (no keycard entry), and both the outer, and inner doors were left wide open, which meant that people walking through the corridor could just see directly into the bathroom area.

Very comfortable bed, the person at the reception was very friendly when I checked in. The area felt safe, and there is a nice bar on the ground floor.

The managers should invest more money in the showers. The bathroom was not the best. The person at the reception when I checked out was not particularly friendly.

The place is well located, the staff is friendly and the vibe is nice.

There are no silent places for relaxing or making a call, only noisy environments. Also, no kitchen utensils whatsoever.

The music in the communal area was low this time. Thank you!! The bed was great, TV, bathroom clean and lovely and warm during the night.

The sockets were all bad. Flickering lights and charger for my phone would be charging one minute and not the next. I did report it to reception so it wouldn't get worse or cause a fire.

I have to chenge the mattress by swapping with one bed location that was vacant. The springs were picking me and as I turn, changing positions.. I the springs will make notice.

Good Solid Mattresses and generally very clean and well maintained.

Washing machines in basement are a bit complicated. An “eco” wash takes 2 hours and there’s no way to cancel a cycle.

Staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right in the city center. Easy check-in. Plenty of stores, restaurants and bars around. The room was clean and generally fine. Breakfast was ok for the price.

The bathroom was quite cold, no heater there. Also, the water pressure was low. The walls were very thin and we could here everything in the other rooms, bathroom, etc. It's ok for a short stay, but no longer than that.

The atmosphere was brilliant, staff were lovely. Prices were decent! Room was brilliant size.

Bed wasn't comfortable, only one pillow each, wasnt super comfortable either. Thin walls. But it was a lovely room besides that.

Someone had already taken my bed so I had to switch and take his upper bunk bed. Not Generator´s fault though. Someone spilled orange juice all over the floor but that was cleaned up perfectly the next morning.
