The privacy of the pods and the cleanliness

There isn't a kitchen where we could heat or cook meals, you find yourself obliged to buy from them😕. It should be okay for a night or two stay, but not feasible for a long term stay

Every thing was good.

The showers on the timers were quite painful, you barely got the water warm and they turned off. Was hard to get a good shower

First time staying in a hostel, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience. I felt super safe as a solo traveler, and the staff were fantastic—very friendly and accommodating. The room was exactly as described, with a comfy bed (though I would’ve preferred an actual plug instead of just a USB port). The location is perfect, everything is conveniently within walking distance.

Cleaning could have been better, especially since the toilet was shared.

For the price it was great. Plus it’s in a perfect spot and I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. The place was also very clean.

Was not a fan of their breakfast but it is unlimited so it’s decent value, just wasn’t for me.

There’s a sign in the bathroom saying the shower cuts out after 30 seconds. In reality if it’s still on after 4 seconds you’re lucky. Most of the time I had to hold the button in for the shower to remain on. The water wasn’t that warm either. The shower was either faulty or this is cost saving / resource preservation gone mad.

Great privacy thanks to the bed being in a pod and the bed itself is comfy, friendly and helpful staff

Timer in the shower is really annoying While the hostel feels safe, the area it is in is quite unsafe, it held me back from staying out late, but I also had unplesant expieriences just going to the grocery shop around the corner during the day

The pod was very spacious and mattress was quite comfy.

No kitchen facilities. There is a microwave but that is it. Adding a kettle, some plates and utensils would help.

The hostel is near both the bus station and train station, making it convenient if you want to travel beyond the City Centre. I was able to do day trips to Howth and Cork comfortably, as the DART and train stations are just a few minutes' walk away. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. I had last-minute changes to my flight, and the staff quickly helped me print a new boarding pass. They were happy to answer any queries and provided helpful tips on the best way to commute to the hostel from the airport.

I hope there will be a kitchen area in the future, or at least a common area with a microwave and kettle, so we can make tea and heat meals, especially at night when most restaurants and shops are already closed

There is no kitchen, and the chill out room with the bar included for guests outside the hostel is not that comfortably.

The Staff is very nice, especially Keith! Lovely to chat with! Clean secure, spacious, quiet, good buzz of people hanging around, its nice to be around people but at the same time its spacious and chilled. The Bar area is actually a great area to chill out, work on your computer, watch something on your phone or laptop, talk with friends, very nice food too! I love the pods too especially the mood lighting inside! And what makes it sweet is the price! only €20 per night! Nice place to sleep, friendly, clean, great price! Thank, I look forward to coming back again!

I loved so many things about saying here! its a real hidden gem! Only thing I could say, is that maybe the mattress in the pod was a little hard for me, but in general I slept very good!

Fantastic hostel! Very modern and nice decor, communal area is great. The private room was like a hotel room, very clean with all the amenities needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable!! Also the place is positioned fantastic. Right within the centre, just a 10 min walk from all the main attractions, close to restaurants and bars and just around the corner from the station with the DART to Howth. Definitely recommend!!

Perfectly located for convenience of bus services and also pubs, eateries and sights along the water. Clean, comfy, warm and inviting accommodation (we had a private room with en suite). The bathroom was pristine! The in house bar was good and had a great live singer/musician playing when we arrived (Sunday evening). If we could get as good a price again, we’ll definitely be back!

The capsule thing is really good! Some may get claustrophobic, but I found it cosier with more privacy. Warm in the hostel too, with nice lighting and vibes.

Just little bits here and there. Nothing detrimental but my locker door was falling off, security guard was constantly glaring at me, noisy bathrooms no matter who’s in there, plug sockets not working, etc! Don’t get me wrong, I’d still stay again. But these things add up.

Excellent location, very friendly staff

Heating in the room couldn't be switched off, so it was a sauna. Opening the window is possible, but the diesel trains that pass right next to the building are very noisy. So, not the perfect place for a relaxing night of sleep...

Checking was very easy and the hosts at the front desk were very friendly. The beds were comfy and cozy and the provided lockers are roomy. The location is also top notch. You can be on O'Connell Street in 5 minutes.

The bathroom in the room wasn't always very clean, but I'm aware that had more to do with the other guests in the room than with the hostel. The bathroom was cleaned daily at the start of the day.

The location was excellent, easy to get everywhere in the city the airport transfer was great with the local bus no 41 just around the corner. The bar and chill area is very cosy and comfortable and you can eat your own food in the reception area. The locker system for storing luggage on last day was also great really helpful for us as our flights were delayed till late in evening. The breakfast was basic but plentiful, so good value for money at £10 per head. The bathroom was a good size, good lighting and had a great shower.

The room was too warm and no way of turning it down which am guessing is why there was a fan in the room. Very dimly lit apart from in the bathroom. Also it was noisy as located next to the train track and they seemed to stop outside with engines running loudly poss doing work on them so maybe temp? No storage apart from 3 hangers and a pole so no where to put clothes at all. Towels in bathroom too small to be classed as bath towels ok If your a child or a size 0 lol. Mattress not the best but ok, sheets nice though. Was expecting a friendlier welcome and a bit more Irish hospitality but did find some of the staff lacking in customer service and not the friendliest which did surprise me compared to previous stays in Dublin.

I wish there was a pantry area with snacks provided, as well as hot water, cups, cutleries provided. So that I could make a cup noodles for a midnight snack.

The quality of the room was high. Cleaning service welcomes you every morning making sure the room is tidy and ready for new arrivals.The reception people are welcome, bar with live music.Great location!! I was happy there to stay. Best wishes!!! I will definitely recommend that place😊

The individual pods with curtains provided privacy and the en suite bathroom was great. In addition there are shared bathrooms and showers outside the room if the one en suite is occupied. Lockers with password locks in the rooms are great to store my bags. Location is wonderful, within walking distance to the centre of the city and very near to Connolly train station.

Generally, theres nothing not to like but a kitchen would be a lovely addition.

The bunked beds are comfortable and very private!

There is no electric cattle in chill room for people who want to drink tea or coffee in the evening. Common it's not cost much.

Great location, cleanliness. The pods are a great place to have perfect sleep. The breakfast (buffet) was good. The rooms are quiet.

There is no electrical socket in the pod, so there is no way to charge/use your laptop.

Jacob’s inn was great - they had a ground floor bar where guests could congregate all day. They even had someone come in on Saturday night and play live music that everyone sang along with. The pod rooms were well kept and mine provided a shared bathroom in the room. The staff were very friendly, the place was quiet, and the security was good as well

The property was just a bit of a walk from central Dublin.

Comfy and safe, good value for money - good location.

The bar was very expensive and you have to pay more for towels, and to store your luggage.

It was fairly central, about a 20min walk from Temple Bar. We shared a 4 bunk room. Value for money was fantastic. If you are looking for somewhere to just crash out at the end of the night in central Dublin for a cheaper price than the standard hotel listings in Dublin I would highly recommend. Nice bar area downstairs too.

They didn't provide towels.

Love the common areas! The staff are super helpful and friendly. The common areas are super cozy and well decorated, really good vibe. Really lively lounge area and the bar area is also a great spot to mingle and meet other travelers.

I stayed in a 4-bed shared room but the bedding made me itch like crazy. I used the comforter blanket on top of the bed sheets and slept on that then the itching went away, but sleeping on the bed sheets themselves made me itch. No idea why — maybe synthetic linens? Nothing serious like bed bugs or anything but it was just that single bed sheet. The 15-sec timer in the shower is super inconvenient. 30 seconds would at least be a better compromise. Besides that, no other major complaints.

No activities for solo travellers. The hostel could have provided a better set up for helping solo travellers to socialise.

The is the second time I have stayed here and would again. Pod comfortable and private, nice ensuite. Vibe of Jacob's Inn is very welcoming. Good choice for breakfast, nice bar and lounge area. Staff very helpful. Access to hot drinking water to make own hot drinks would be useful as no kitchen or fridge facilities

Being a hostel should have kitchen facilities or at least tea/coffee station or the very least a kettle and cups. When using hostels people are on a budget. Could have been helpful to have a shelf or another chair to put stuff on. Only 4 hooks to hang coats, we had nowhere to put bags except on the floor.. could not unpack anything no drawers to store hand luggage either. Very basic room. Photos show individual drawers for travellers we had nothing. Had to pay for towels.

menegement bed price policy is too bad..on weekend your bed price suddenly has been tripliging ( 3 times more expensive than regular price..it kill İRLAND tourism...

Modern, clean, the pods were very comfortable! In a decent location. Happy I booked an all-female room, as the co-ed ones seemed like mayhem.

The cleaning staff were lovely however reception was quite cold (with exception of the gentleman who checked me out on Dec 7 AM)
