The Conrad Hotel, Dublin

No breakfast for the money spent .. disappointing 😞

We got 2 single beds.. I asked for a double 😪

Staff were very friendly and helpful

Requested a room near lift and shower only but room not near lift and had a bath which was difficult for my wife. Breakfast was a bit chaotic but staff made up for these minor indiscretions and we will book again in January

The lobby, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated and the lighting in the hotel is relaxing and cosy. Underground car park with direct hotel access, staff were excellent across the board. Great Christmas decor.

The rooms and room decor are quite aged, the bathrooms in particular are not good enough for a hotel of this stature and need to be upgraded.

The atmosphere in the hotel was fabulous. So tastefully decorated for the festive season. Staff were friendly but still very professional. We loved our room with really comfortable beds and linen. We were at concert in NCH so its wonderful when concert is over and you just have to cross the road to be home for the evening..particularly on a cold December evening.

Your carpark is a bit of a disaster. You cant drive around it and if you go up one way and there are no spaces you have to reverse back down again. We ordered what we thought was a pot of coffee for breakfast but we got a cafetiere instead. I like strong coffee but this was undrinkable.

Bed was comfortable, I ended up spending my entire trip in bed. I was ill throughout my stay and they were very kind in helping me with that. They sent fruit and herbal tea to the room for me and also toast in the evening. I was touched by the care given.

There were so nice in taking care of me while so sick, its not appropriate for me to comment on any very minor shortcomings. I felt looked after when I was feeling very unwell and thats what mattered in this trip. One thing I will say, and its a safety issue, the handrails are not sufficient for the showers, there also needs to be a non slip mat in place. The first night I slipped but saved myself from falling with the handrail. The second shower I slipped and fell. Luckily I am young enough to take a fall with no injury, but not everyone is.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable, bright and large. The staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly, helpful and professional. The location is great!

The wait time in line for breakfast is annoying and seemingly unnecessary. We were there for three breakfasts and each day we waited about 10 minutes to be seated.

Location was excellent - we were charged for parking which cost 30e - we only stayed one night. I have never paid for parking on the grounds of a hotel before - for that reason I would not book the Conrad again.

Excellent in all ways. Perfect staff and service. Every amenity that you could expect except cast TV.

Cast TV was not available. A little more food and beer selection would have been nice. More coffee capsules too.

Loved the room and staff. Breakfast was not up to standards. Hot food was cold, selection was limited, eggs made to order were an upcharge and service was minimal.

Given what we didn't like, we explained to the supervisor on duty that we were paying for a 5 star hotel and getting 3 star amenities and service. Things you do not expect at a Conrad. On the way back, we were surprised with an upgrade and provided a credit. The customer service is top-notch at this location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

We stayed at this location twice during our trip. When we arrived in the city and then when we ended our trip and came back to the city. The first time, we had a room that had very poor shower drainage and was creating a bathtub. The shower ceiling was peeling, one elevator was working, and when we tried to call for room service, it kept going to voicemail, and we were told they were closed, when in fact they were still open.

The hotel is very nice but is lacking a bit of soul. It seems more a business hotel than a leisure hotel. When you go into the hotel it lacks the heart and vibrancy of other 5 star hotels like the Shelbourne and the Westbury. There is no buzz about the place. A bit clinical.
