Buswells Hotel, Dublin

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location in walking distance of the centre of Dublin and Temple Bar. The staff were fantastic, friendly, courteous and extremely welcoming . They are all a credit to the hotel and made the experience memorable.

The breakfast was an extra 25euros per person and wasn’t particularly good value.

All the staff were excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Service was a little slow at times but it was very busy and it didn’t detract from our trip too much.

The property is very convenient for my requirements and the staff are most friendly, particularly at reception and in the dining room. Breakfast was appetising and well presented.

The room was in a very poor location, requiring access by means of several flights of stairs comprising in all 34 steps from reception, with no lift facilities! I prefer a softer mattress and firmer pillow, but not complaining.

The location was perfect. We were attending a graduation in Trinity and never would have made the 10 am start from our home location.

Elegant, spacious

Location is everything. Best possible place in the center of town walkable and easy access to places of interest. The staff was always pleasant and especially the door men who were extremely helpful.

The twin room at the end of the hall way #109 had persistent piano music playing in the background. No way to tune that out, it could be overridden by the television but that was the last resort. The bathroom drain could be cleaned. Shaving residue from men’s facial hair accumulated in the drain. Could be cleaned out.

Piped harp music from bar downstairs irritated a bit and shower water pressure a bit low, but a fabulous hotel, breakfast and - above all - staff (who were always super-friendly and eager to please!) We will be back, I’m sure

Great location. Older, but there are lots of updates and this hotel has lots of charm. Close to the park and the active streets of Dublin. We loved the 1 king / 1 twin room. The bar downstairs was a great place to have an evening dinner before bed.

The hotel was in a great location, right next to Trinity College. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

Location was fabulous. Staff were efficient and kind -barman was so charming and so sweet! ! 😀The Hotel is beautiful and elegant with an old-world, welcoming charm. We loved being able to sit at the fireplace. The road noise, in particular the beeping from the traffic light, caught us by surprise and I can imagine it may be disturbing for a light sleeper. Beds are comfortable and the shower was great! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book there again without hesitation. Thank you!

Perhaps a warning about the troublesome key to room 214 as we checked in would have been welcome. 😀 Booking through Booking.com seemed to present a slight problem when I would have liked to alter the reservation.

Perfect location. Good value

The atmosphere was elegant, warm and inviting. The meal I had in the restaurant was perfectly prepared and delicious. The staff was very helpful. The location is fabulous. I would definitely stay at Bushwells Hotel in Dublin again.

It would be nice if there was a bellhop to assist with luggage. While there is a lift, you might still encounter some stairs.

On booking.com it stated breakfast available for €15. However I was charged €26. Too expensive

Helpful staff. Comfortable communal areas, as I was travelling on my own it was important to feel safe. Good to be able to have a single room.

The morning I left I couldn’t get a coffee as I hadn’t booked for breakfast. I was told I could get one at the bar, which was closed. I have to emphasise that this was a minor inconvenience.

I was woken at 6am by a Booking dot com request to give feedback on my stay so negative rating for Booking.com. The hotel was good.
