All you need to know
Sitting in the bustling, walkable Uptown neighborhood, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas brings plenty of Texas-sized luxury. The building itself is an architectural standout, designed by the legendary Robert A.M. Stern. It features a simplified Regency style with a buff-colored brick and limestone exterior that cuts an iconic silhouette against the city skyline, perfectly blending residential warmth with upscale grandness.
Inside, the hotel recently wrapped up a major multi-million-dollar renovation handled by the Texas-based Rottet Studio. The new look leans heavily into Art Deco glamour mixed with subtle nods to Dallas history and the Texas cattle industry. You’ll find rich walnut wood, bone-colored ribbed lacquer, and metallic accents of copper and rose gold running throughout the revamped rooms.
The hotel boasts some unique features that you won’t find just anywhere. For starters, the lobby houses a rare, apothecary-style boutique for The House of Krigler, a prestigious historic perfumery favored by icons like Jackie O and JFK. Plus, every evening at 6:00 PM, the lobby hosts a dedicated “guac-ologist” who whips up fresh guacamole and pours signature margarita samples for guests.
Dining is a destination in its own right here, thanks to Fearing’s Restaurant. Run by celebrity chef Dean Fearing—widely considered the “father of Southwestern cuisine”—it’s famous for inventive dishes like chicken-fried lobster and his legendary tortilla soup. After dinner, guests can slip into the energetic Rattlesnake Bar or unwind at the massive, 12,000-square-foot nature-inspired spa.
The location is a paradise for culture and sports lovers. Guests can catch the historic McKinney Avenue trolley right outside the door to explore the neighborhood or walk to the nearby American Airlines Center for a game. The hotel also sits just minutes from Klyde Warren Park and the massive Dallas Arts District, home to the spectacular Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center.
