Minos Beach Art Hotel, Crete

Absolutely everything! Especially the design of the spaces d how it feels like a boutique property but is actually huge and has every amenity you could wish for. The multiple restaurants and beaches meant we hardly left the hotel in the 6 days we were there. Special shout out to the most incredible breakfast buffet and all of the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay simply perfect.

There was nothing not to like, we adored Minos Beach!

Superb location with a nice room, a lovely private beach (i.e. shared only by guests of the hotel). And you can get drinks / food delivered to your seat by the beach. Overall lovely stay and very relaxing.

A bit on the pricy side.

- Great location (2 private beaches and a 10 minute walk into town) - Very friendly staff (special mention to Alexandros at the main bar who is very attentive/remembers 5* details) - Breakfast selection is very good - We stayed in a sea view bungalow which was very modern and great for us.

- Paying for water on the beach/lunch isn’t in line with 5* hotels (€3.50 for a small carton) and cocktails are mostly ice in small glasses. - Restaurant menus could be improved as not the easiest to follow and pricing pretty high. Most restaurants in town are of similar quality and 1/3 of the cost (The taverna night at the hotel is very good however) - Gym is an afterthought as others have mentioned

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. Amazing thought to minor details. Staff very kind to both young and old or anybody needing any help. The staff are very well trained. Lots of local food and wine. Very little waste and thoughts concerning the environment. Wonderful place.

Shame that the pool was too cold to swim in but can understand that it is not worth heating for the few weeks that are needed.

Beautifully designed, it never feels like being in a large hotel. The bungalows are scattered across the garden up to the seafront. A lot of places to stay by the beach or the pool, but as always the best spots are to be taken early on! We had booked a bungalow with sea view and got an upgrade with a private pool. The room was very comfortable. The food is delicious, starting with breakfast that has a nice mix of Cretan and continental food, to dinner where we ate all 4 evening at Adeste restaurant: quiet and village-like feel.

The beds were maybe a bit too soft to our liking. A few more hooks would be handy to hang towels and clothes.

It is absolutely paradise, the staff exceptional and the experience, breathtaking.

The hotel was a tranquil retreat in gorgeous seaside setting. We felt pampered! The food was delicious, the staff welcoming, and the accommodations were superb.

The gym was an afterthought when designing the resort. But the pool was gorgeous, the beach outstanding, and it was easy to walk to town for exercise.

Big nice green territory, Long Beach, almost all rooms realized like bungalows

Superb location with direct beach access. It has 2 small sand beach parts and the rest is rock. We loved it! Breakfast was amazing, rooms in very good shape, facilities excellent, to put it simple: you can just stay in the hotel area the whole day and won’t miss anything.

A rail in the shower& non slip surface or mat would be helpful. Please check access step ladders to pool and to sea. They are not easy for older/ unfit people. A rubber grip surface on the rungs would be good and some ladders are too high to reach from the sea

Fabulous location and wonderfully friendly staff. The best breakfast I have had in a hotel, ever! The grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and the views across the bay are stunning.

Our bed was a little hard, but I do have a bad back and the staff tried to help by putting a topper on the bed. Our sea view bungalow was a little smaller than I’d envisaged, all very lovely but the dressing area was a little cramped.

Almost everything! Especially the staff. Location. Outstanding breakfast. Comfortable beds. Amazing loungers and good food. Very clean room. Loved that we never needed to leave the resort as there are 3 restaurants and great service.

Needs better differentiation on reserved beach loungers. Would be nice for the beach and pool bars to have the same menu. Almost 4€ for 50cl of water at the beach or pool is really too much for.

Probably the best beach we went to was the hotels private beach. Great recommendations by staff for restaurants, olive oil making, car rentals, and they were helpful/sympathetic when the airline lost our luggage. Nice breakfast

Not the hotels fault as it is online but we have a 4 year old and the pool has nowhere he could stand. They did let us go to their sister property which had 3 pools and was much more for families to use their pool which was great.

The chairs in the outside porches of the bungalows or outside rooms are uncomfortable to sit at for an evening . And some of the sun beds on platoons need changing now as they are quite weathered and stuffing coming out ect for 5 stars . Wouldn’t expect this

Lovely place. Our second stay. We particularly enjoyed the Fantastic food with a nice local touch, the beach and this year: the musical entertainment.

Poor maintenance around the pool and beach. Lack of towel, lack of beach towel and lack of tidy during the day when guest have left their sun beds. Bar service during the day was abismal.

The hotel is like a big garden near the beach with bungalows spread around . it is beautiful and well maintained. Spotless clean despite the huge area . The staff is extraordinary. Always with a smile and ready to help or please .

Stay was absolutely perfect, we enjoyed everything. Access to the sea is absolutely mind blowing, perfect breakfasts, garden in the hotel was fabulous, everyone was super nice.

The town Agios Nikolas is not prettiest but it offers good variety of restaurants.

We had such an amazing stay! The location is so beautiful. The 3 bedroom Villa was amazing - so spacious and beautiful. The outdoor area is amazing and such a nice place to sit and relax as a family. Breakfast was amazing!! The staff were great! We loved the restaurants and the walk into town

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is a design marvel, with a minimalist Art Deco style blended with Aegean influences. The hotel features numerous modern art pieces and is also a botanical marvel, showcasing plants from various regions of the world. There are multiple restaurants, and we had the opportunity to dine in all of them— the food was amazing! The hotel boasts a spacious shoreline, which is impressive considering its size, ensuring that there are always spots available for guests to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Amazing setting, superb breakfast and modern, clean common areas. The beaches with views are a big plus and the staff is keen on providing a personalized experience - they managed to make our 10-year anniversary very special!

The rooms could be uplifted in terms of decoration to match the rest of the hotel, but it’s a tiny detail

Bungalow was a bit small for a five star category (no desk/chair in the room). Bed a bit soft for my preferences

The whole property is amazing, it feels like paradise. The hotel design is beautiful, nature at the heart of the experience. All these trees, plants and flowers create a unique atmosphere. And of course the sea view is just spectacular. I also loved all the food options, the kindness of the staff, their flexibility. Besides, the food is so tasty and colorful, i was never disappointed.

Service was great. Breakfast was excellent. Beach and view was spectacular. Dining options were good. Rooms (bungalows) were really well designed and bed was super comfy!

Menus of dining spots could have been a bit more different and diverse. Main hotel room (which we moved from) was dated and poor for the cost

The whole experience was fantastic. We luckily got upgraded which was incredible and from there it was amazing. Breakfasts were excellent, and the local restaurant on site was spectacular with the live music and the proximity to the centre of town and other restaurants! 10 out of 10 will be back.

Can't fault a single thing!

Amazing hotel with two private beaches towards the Mirabello Bay. It’s possible to snorkel directly from there in front of the hotel!! The bay is calm and perfect for swimming. The hotel as a 25 meter pool (also nice for swimming). The views from the hotel restaurants were amazing and the area just beautiful. Every 10 meters there was a possibility to relax on sunbeds directly at the water side in a very private way (even though it is a large hotel with many people). The area is very big around the hotel so that people would spread out. The diving centre attached to it was superb with possibilities to dive, rent a boat to snorkel (just for yourself) and much more. The food was delicious and can be served to the sunbeds with the hotel's own app (beer at the beach etc).

It is a bit pricey to eat / drink at the hotel but there are many restaurants around (which are even a bit better and cheaper). The wellness center is a bit too small (only one tiny sauna). However, you will not need it at all so I does not matter much (maybe only when it rains on a rare occasion)

The bungalow was as described with an idyllic setting. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. A perfect place to stay for a luxurious, relaxing holiday.

Although the bungalow and sunbeds were superb the distance from the main hotel was a little far.

At the pool next to the apartment were two tamarisks. From them was a mess everywhere the whole day - on the table, seats, deck chairs, towels etc.
