Vibe, location and facilities.

Swimming pool was very cold and a lot smaller than the pictures showed. If going to pay £3 per person for 1hr some warmth is expected.

Good location. Very friendly atmosphere. Lots of amenities and the room was clean and quiet.

Nice rooms, a lot of nice spaces to chill relax watch something, eat, work, swim or workout. Bar was great too i had many breakfasts. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and sweet.

I didnt like the doors for shower and toilet inside the room that makes it less private as people can hear everything. The cleaning of the room was being done very early 9:30-10:00 earliest i’ve seen in all of my hostels stays.

there are no curtains in around the beds, and the lockers were inconveniently placed behind the door. Also, getting down from the top bunk is a death-trap if you're wearing socks.

Had an amazing stay at the Steel House Copenhagen! The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the city.

The room was very clean and the bunk bed set up was fun for a group of four. Everyone gets their own pod with their own outlets which is very nice. The actual property has a lot of events going on but up on the fourth floor you couldn’t hear anything which was great.

The only things to note are that the light system in the bathroom needs to be fixed because when having a shower every 2 minutes you needed to open the door for the light to turn on again. This would be easily fixed if they just switched it to a regular manual light switch. Also a bathroom mat should be provided so that the whole bathroom doesn’t get wet. Also important to note that although the kitchen is well equipped, it can get incredibly busy and overwhelming at times. So, if you are planning to properly use the kitchen I would say that you should try to cook outside of typical meal times.

I’d say this Hostel isn’t for solo travellers hoping to make friends. Strangest vibe of families and much older people (also lots of after work drinking in the bar from surrounding offices) made it hard to spot any other solo travellers. There was a little scheduled but minimal activities planned for people to get involved with. I’ve travelled alone a lot and always made a friend in the hostel but this time I didn’t… I would suggest more effort in activities or maybe a WhatsApp group for guests.

Good location, walkable to many cafes and restaurants. Co working space downstairs and quite vibey throughout the day. Fantastic value for money.

The rooms are small so to do anything, they encourage you to be downstairs in the communal space. I needed to take a call but couldn't find a corner that wasn't playing loud music.

The location was amazing, we could walk or bike everywhere. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. There are lots of things happening and the vibe is great. The room was cute and me and my friends loved it. We stayed in a private room for 4 people.

Even tho the room was cute, it wasn’t very clean. The windows and drapes were smudged. We also found some stuff under the mattresses which wasn’t very pleasant.

This Hostel is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The vibe was great, loads of facilities, you can rent a bike from them too. The common room space was great and you could watch sports, play games and meet new people.

The room was nice but a little too small. I am sure they are maximising their space but I felt the space between the bunk beds was so narrow so it made getting ready and moving around difficult

Great location, friendly staff and edgy design. Bed was comfortable, shower water pressure amazing as well as temperature.

We had a tiny issue with miscommunication about the cleaning of the room, however the staff was very helpful and provided solutions once feedback was given.

The hostel was conveniently located, very modern, rooms were clean, and the bar downstairs had a nice vibe and a great selection of beers. Staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities seemed excellent (games room, swimming pool, gym, kitchen, laundry, storage lockers), recycling bins, although we didn't really use them apart from a quick game of pong! There were also organised activities (such as walking tours, music nights, etc) which would be great for younger/solo travellers. The rooms have a digital key entry, which worked well for us. We had a double room, but this is primarily an upmarket hostel, so most floors had 4-6 bed rooms.

The room itself had what we needed, but was very snug and there was very little hanging space (or even floor space for a case) - totally fine for a night, but bear this in mind if you're staying longer. Not sure what the mattress was made of (some kind of foam perhaps) but we were very hot. The pillows were also a bit odd (strange shape and hard to mould under your head) - wouldn't say it was dreadful, but we didn't get the best night's sleep. Minor thing, but the lifts are either end of the building and in the middle are stairs - we were a bit confused when we arrived as this wasn't really sign-posted. Luckily we asked the bar staff rather than hauling our luggage up six flights!

Perfectly located. Quiet in the room. Everything was clean, comfortable and even better than expected. We liked it very much.

The place and environment, very friendly and quite nice. All clean and organized. Full of services and activities that you can do.

The hostel and dorm room were incredibly clean and tidy. We had a shared room with a private bathroom and shower; both were very convenient to use. The beds have a socket and small pouch to keep your smaller belongings while you sleep. If you want to use the in-room lockers, you need to have a padlock with you.

The only couple of downsides were that the door, or rather glass sliding door, for the bathroom is not very soundproof, so anytime somebody uses the bathroom or shower, it can be quite loud, especially if you are a light sleeper. Another thing which would've been nice would be curtains for each sleeping pod, which this hostel did not have.

The bedroom is very small.

They say, "we are just a hostel", I would say, dream big, you could provide the quality of a hotel. The bathroom and toilet doors are slide doors and don't get sealed when closed. So, people in the room need to be very close to each other... And the whole room was not "perfectly" clean. It was more like fine.

Amazing price. Great location, staff and social areas. The beds are comfortable and private go sleep in. Easy check with in and out.

The ensuite bathrooms are in very close proximity to the beds and thin walls/door. Not much room to get changed in the rooms either. However I think the price is appropriate with these issues.

Pool facilities, bar, location!! Easy check in & out, cheap for Copenhagen!

It was quite dirty, the mattress was visible and had stains on it, along with the windows were extremely dirty and nothing wiped down.

Clean, warm and friendly. Very easy to book, check in and out. Compact room but everything you need with good bathroom en-suite in our room. Location was great with good transport links. Probably good value for Copenhagen?

Pillows, duvets and cases could do with a renew, although bed linen v clean. Bed not the most comfortable I’ve been in but perfectly acceptable. If I was 20 years younger I’m not sure there would be anything not to like!

Number of hotel amenities available. All-round hostel for everyone. The room is good enough to sleep in.

The fact that everything you do in the hostel outside your room is paid. You need to use the kitchen, you pay. You want to use the gym, you pay. But I guess it's the new model of hostel business.

Great vibe with great facilities. Description in the website is accurate. The beds were very comfortable. The size is what you would expect in a shared facility. The toilet downstairs were not clean perhaps from people who checked in that has a shared bathroom/toilet. The vibe at the reception is amazing and staff was helpful. Rented bikes from them and instructions were easy to follow.

Could improve with the cleanliness of the common area facilities e.g. toilets.

I didn’t bring a lock with me, as I thought the lockers had their own built-in password system. It would have been nice to know beforehand that I needed a key lock. Luckily, it was possible to buy one at the reception.

I was in the female only dorm in room 228 bed 2. The bathroom was very good and i liked the provided hair and body wash. The beds were good size and there weren’t too many people in the room which was great

This accommodation is conveniently located near the train station, and the area feels safe to walk around at night. There is a kitchen you can use for an additional one-time fee. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Great location - very short walk to Tivoli and the main train station and near a canal. Room was very narrow but the bunks comfortable and long enough for us with their own light and phone chargers. Having a separate shower space from the toilet and sink is great. I liked the reception area with seats to work and relax in. Staff were very friendly.

I didn't like the pay as you go aspect of this place - it felt like Ryan-Air for hostels. You even have to create your own room key using computers to check in - the staff there don't do it for you. There were kitchen facilities but I didn't like the fact you had to pay just to boil a kettle ( you can't access the kitchen without paying). You also had to pay to store your bags and pay to use the pool and gym. I appreciate this can help keep prices low but I think the bag storage and kitchen access in particular are fundamental to hostel life and should be included in the price of a bed. Also although I didn't use it the top bunk by the window in our dorm didn't look very safe - there was just a pole in one corner rather than more of a bar across the bunk to stop you rolling out in the night. And more generally for the bunks, it took me a while to realise the steps up to the bunk were steps and not chrome coloured shelves - they looked like they would not be that easy to use unless you're very flexible!

I had a 30-hour stopover in Copenhagen and decided to stay here. My flight arrived at 6:30 a.m., and since there was plenty of time before check-in, I walked around the city — from the Little Mermaid statue to Nyhavn — and arrived at the hostel around 1:30 p.m. I was quite tired and hoped for an early check-in, but unfortunately, I had to wait on the ground floor until 3 p.m. (Easy to get the key from Phone application) We booked a 4-bed room privately for two people. It might feel a bit tight if used by four, but for the two of us, it was comfortable. We both used the lower bunks, and the head area was nicely enclosed, so even if one person had the light on, it didn’t bother the other. The bathroom was small but had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. For our short stay, this place offered great value for money!

The only small downside was that we wanted to make instant noodles but couldn’t since using the kitchen on the ground floor required an extra payment for access.

Tiny, 6 beds in one room. No comfortability for nothing, you have just one small box to leave your things and you have to bring your own key to use is. Not recommended for more than one or two nights. However, it is a hostel...

Location wise it's good. Reservation allotted us a private room with my 16 year old son with us. That was really great news We were more comfortable and had privacy as a family. Thanks for that 🤗

No amenities like, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton buds. Sometimes it could be of help when you forget to bring them with you for a night stay

Facilities in general and rooms are kept tidy and well maintained. The inside atmosphere was quiet and peaceful (don't know if that is so also during peak season). There was ample common space to sit and read, eat or work. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Rooms are extremely narrow and it's all a continuous dance to be able to open suitcases and retrieve stuff from them without hitting someone, hitting yourself on someone's open locker ooor with the door as it opens to welcome yet one more traveler (fortunately, all of my roomies were very sweet and respectful, and we had a good night's sleep). While location is really good (despite the very many construction crews and vehicles), it was a bummer to find out many of the facilities/services considered basic at other hostels were pay-to-use ones at this hostel (like luggage storage and use of the kitchen), despite the price of a bed being comparable to other places. I chose the hostel specifically because of its swimming pool, finding no info on booking.com or the subsequent mails received from the property that this service, too, had to be paid for in order to use it. I did pay for it and had a good experience, but it would have been great to know, from the get-go, about all the extra costs. My key got deactivated before check-out time, which resulted in my having to go back and forth from the reception and losing a good 15 minutes.
