Steel House Hostel, Copenhagen

Good location, nice rooms and great activities. Movieroom was great to relax with Kids. Overall a good hostel, keeping In mind for the next trip.

We stayed for five nights, from saturday To thursday. There was a sign In the room which stated that they chance linens, towels and clean the room on the 4th Day. They didn't. There was no hand towels, no cups for brushing teeth and nothing to wipe the floors. Recommend on bringing your own mugs and handtowels to eaze things.

Its not hotel, it's hostel with 3 bunkl beds. No refrigerator, no TV no chairs

Wonderful communal facilities and great atmosphere. My favourite part was seeing guest from 2-70 all enjoying the space. We will definitely be back.

The top bunk was very high up without safety barrier. Would benefit from a panel to stop anyone rolling out accidentally!

Really central, great facilities, very relaxed but also tidy, clean, well equipped, beds super comfy, price amazing, events on. We loved the cinema room idea, the duvets were the comfiest I have ever slept under! The bar prices are good in happy hour, there are things like table football and darts and pool - which is great. Great that bedding and towels and washing soap is included. We were able to hang out in the lounge area after checking out too. I enjoyed having the pool to myself - but that was just luck! Wish they had a sauna too though. I would probably book this hostel again if I came back.

You have to pay extra for everything - some things i minded less than others (like having to pay a couple of quid for a plastic cup). I guess if it keeps the costs low and you only pay for what you use, I guess it makes sense. The staff were good when you asked them anything but generally didn't seem too overwelcoming. We had a room to ourselves so that was great BUT if I was staying in a dorm i would NOT want to have to go into a toilet in the same room with only a sliding door between myself and the rest of the room. Also the sensor llights were great to save electric, but again, if I was sharing a room this would be extremely annoying as light comes from shower and bathroom into room.

I found a hair on my pillow.. You need to pay a fee to use the kitchen. The wi-fi signal is terrible. The sliding glass door in the toilet didn't close completely, plus the automatic light in the shower and toilet shines onto the beds which don't have privacy curtains.

The room is small but has everything you need, clean in good condition and comfy.

You need to pay only once the kitchen to access it forever. As a solo traveler, I only wanted to stay for one night and it didn’t make sense to me to get an access card for the kitchen. It was still nice that they had a kettle free to use which allowed me to cook at least cup noodles.

Location was very central, a stone throw distance from the city center (Stroger street, Gplyptoteket museum, etc) and close to Copenhagen Central Station. Easy to reach from the airport. In this regard, we really appreciate the "How to Get to Steel House Copenhagen" page on the Steel House web site, as well as the all other information listed on it. There are many facilities and entertaining amenities The staff are very nice and supportive. Lots of young people living here, but also many families with young kids. We really appreciated the kitchen area when we could cook and prepare out meals.

Rooms are small, but we really spent more time in the city than in the rooms. In the room, the wi-fi would sometimes get very weak at the point that our devices switched to mobile data.

Great location, comfy room. We had a private room, was very quiet for being a hostel accommodation. Would definitely stay again! The pod is super comfy.

Clean rooms, beds were comfortable and offered some privacy with the wall. The separate shower and toilet in the room were convenient and clean. The lockers were lockable and spacious. I payed to use the kitchen which was also kept clean and had plenty of seating for all guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, the communal space and bar were very welcoming and lively!

Bathroom light was automatic and went off when in shower the sensor didn’t reach to turn it back on. Overall cleanliness of room could have been better. Matress very stained but did have a mattress topper.

Great place, except atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, super comfortable in every aspect: Close to the central station, only 15 minutes away from the airport and walking distance to the city centre! The property? It has everything, from arcade games to cinema , a pool table and a swimming pool!! They even organise events in the evening!! What you see in the photos is exactly what you’ll find, 100% real, no scams!!

Everything was nice.

Glad we booked this, travelling as a family of four with two young adults it is hard to find a familyroom. The word “hostel” made me scroll past this one at first, but a closer look made me happy! Spacious rooms with four separate cubicles to sleep in. Each cubicle with it’s own sockets (2), light and a very handy leather pouch to put your phone etc in. And our own very spacious bathroom. Everybody had his/her own locker/cupboard. The staff and other travellers were all very friendly and happy people. The hotel was very well kept, clean and had a cool and trendy look. The downstairs public area was welcoming with plenty of tables, couches, sockets for tablets/phones/laptops, games and multiple pooltables. It looked like a big cosy livingroom. And all this at an amazing price and superb location at a 5 minute walk from central station. We absolutely loved it!

It's like a little city in itself: with guided tours, theme evenings, arcade and the cinema. It's endless. Very good bed and it was cozy warm.

I'd wish there was more privacy as in having curtain over the pod. While I had exceptionally well behaved and considerate roomies, the automatic light was still something that interrupted the sleep.

No curtains so light to shower and toilet would come on and shine through, tight space, paid kitchen which I didn't see as a paid amenity here and staff upon arrival weren't very helpful.

Very cheap, near the center, a bunch of facilities and entertaining amenities are offered for free. The staff are very supportive. There are almost young people living here so the vibe is quiet energetic.

Property charges extra for practically every amenity. I came only an hour early an asked to check in and still had to pay for bag storage..when I asked if I had to pay the response was a bit rude.

the hostel's common areas, kitchen facilities, location, check-in and check-out policy, The staff was extremely kind and helpful, the spaces were neat and well-maintained, and the smell of cleanliness prevailed. Even in winter, the temperature inside was warm, it wasn't cold to sleep.

The sliding glass door in the bathroom didn't close completely, which was uncomfortable at times.

Sleeping area could be isolated from the bathroom like in capsule hotels, it’s not nice to hear the sounds and smells right next to your bed :D Use earplugs and sleeping mask to avoid waking up during the night.

This is probably the coolest place I have stayed at while on vacation, it was very cold when we went but the hostel had so much to do and everyone was so nice. A train station was very close by which was nice.

The shower and sink drained very slow, and the mattress topper kept sliding off.

The staff is super helpful and welcoming. They have helped me a lot with anything and were there at any time. The location is great and main area is super big and comfortable to have chat with people, play games and chill. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathroom is pretty spacious.

I had an issue with the room that it was really cold, but this was also solved, so that was not a huge deal.

I love the property. Clean comfortable, near the station . Everything about the place is great . Really friendly helpful staff.

The rooms are small, no privacy curtains, bathroom door you can see through. The light when on hits the areas of the beds. Charging for everything; storage, use of kitchen.

Room was small, but comfortable. The sliding bathroom door doesn`t give much privacy - just be aware. Great location to go walk in the old town, main train station near by, so easy access to airport.

The facilities considering it’s a hostel were amazing!!! Now i havent stayed in many hostels before but this one was by far the best

I liked being able to use the pool whenever, early morning or late at night. The central location is fantastic to visit the city. The reception and bar area are always lively and the kitchen is functional and modern.

The only remark I could have is that the placement of the bunk beds in my room made it difficult to store my luggage nearby. The lockers are big but unfortunately not big enough for my backpack and so I had to tuck it wherever there was space, often getting in the way of other people.

The hotel itself really up to the expectations and have a really nice and clean room despite its more like a backpacker hotel

I was staying at the share rooms for women only, I got the upstairs bed which was personally quite scary for me with a petite body size to climb up the bunk bed and needs to be up quite early to catch my morning train with a very limited access to room light (maybe Steel house will install some kind of night light on the upper bed the one that can be dim and adjust? 🙂 for the safety reason and so someone will not bother the other guests while they’re sleeping 🙂)

The range of facilities offered in this property was nice, though I never used the kitchen and gym during my stay. The location was okay, it was a short walk to all the popular tourist attractions that I went to.

The wifi was terrible. It takes a long time for everything to load unless you sit around the common area at the ground floor. I also wish there were privacy curtains for each bed.

Hospitality is great. Clean and cosy place to stay.

Good location. A large hostel, tiny spaces in the dormitories, but functioning. Pleasant beds.

The toilet-shower room inside the dormitory has glass door - dimmed but still transparent to light -, so it can be disturbing especially at night. The beds don't chave curtains. And you have to pay for the using of the kitchen, but the price isn't very high. I guess the breakfast packeges they offer at the bar are not worth the money (for more than maybe once if you want to have something fast).
