Hotel Babette Guldsmeden, Copenhagen

It was an old, airy, spacious pretty building.

The location was fantastic!!! Sooo close to many of the major tourist attractions. I rented a bike from the hotel and zoomed around the bike-friendly city. I had a fantastic view over the river and the swans. They also accommodated my early arrival

They charge to use the sauna—I thought that should have been included.

We liked the area this hotel is situated in. Upmarket near to harbour and parks. Breakast very good. Staff helpful at all times.

location is excellant for the old city sights, cafe strip, canals and museums. Walking was best way around town, streets are wide and traffic well controlled.

Located just in front of the citadel it was a great location to visit the city and if it hadn’t been for the construction next door would have been super quiet. Even then the insulation was such that when the windows were closed we could hear nothing. Room was super cute and the bed incredibly comfortable..

Not a problem for my wife and I as we are fairly slender but depending on body size the bathroom might be a tad tight for you.

Location is very nice, walking distance to every attraction.

Tv didn't have smart tv function, no option to have a bottle of water in the room (they suggested to drink from tap because it's drinkable) but I want the choice to have also a bottled water in the room when I arrive, balcony is not depicted in pictures but it's not as nice as you would expect

Beautiful. Eco-friendly. Loved all the Persian rugs in the halls and rooms. Wood and beautiful fabrics in the halls and rooms. Cool paintings on the walls. Very good breakfast.

I highly recommend Babette — the service is warm and welcoming, the rooms are outstanding, and the location is fantastic.

Close to Little mermaid and other attractions. Lovely room and views. Staff friendly. Nice could have a drink and relax in the chairs.

We could walk and explore the area. The rooftop spa was fun.

There was nothing we did not like

Would’ve been a bit quieter on upper floors, we were on the upper ground level, a bit noisy with traffic.

The staff were welcoming and our suite room was stylish and clean. The bar area was nice and the staff friendly. The location was good and just a short walk from Nyhaven.

The sofa bed was a bit too uncomfortable for our teenage daughter - a thin mattress topper on top of a hard seat is not a proper bed. We also found the breakfast disappointing and not worth paying extra for when the bakeries nearby are excellent

Our room was comfortable and warm and very clean. It had everything we needed for a four night stay. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of healthy and tasty food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was short walk from Metro.

TV was blocked by one of the posts on the bed.

Friendly staff, welcoming and helpful, they upgraded our rooms, lovely decor. Location was good. Good facilities.

The sink in bathroom was a little too close to the toilet- but we are tall.
Housekeeping stored their cages/ cleaning equipment near our door. Could hear them in the morning, although they weren’t loud.

Location and style

Most of the staff was friendly and welcoming, though we had two instances at the front desk where the service felt less warm and occasionally a bit curt. The spa and sauna facilities have good potential but could benefit from more regular cleaning and maintenance.
The breakfast buffet looked stylish at first glance, but the variety was not great. It would be nice if barista coffee was included rather than being an extra charge

First of all, a big compliment to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!
We arrived without our bags (that got lost in transit) and the lady at the reception was super helpful and provided us with all basic necessities. <3

Besides that, the hotel is in a perfect location from where you can comfortably walk to all the main spots and attractions.
The room was super cute and everything was eco and sustainable with wooden toothbrushes, special bed linen, bio tea bags, super comfy slippers, and many other small details.
The bed was also very comfortable.

I suggest you also try the in-house Skagen restaurant which offers delicious seafood and fish specialties (my recommendation: rhe creamy fish soup).

This will be the place we stay again when we come back to Copenhagen!

The only thing I would mention was that the heating of the room could have been a bit better, as we were a bit cold from time to time.

I liked the decoration of the room and the staff was friendly, which to me, is always a plus. I liked that we had a little balcony as well even though the weather was not letting us use it. The location is also very nice with the lovely park right across. I also really loved the skincare/haircare products + the empty water bottle you can take with you.

A few things unfortunately. The designers probably had this great vision but everything is just that 10% off. What I mean by that is the faucet is made out of some sort of rust which makes it quite impossible to turn the lever in the bath from shower to faucet. The bed is too close to the wall. The bed itself was dented, the right side of the cabinet in the bathroom couldn't open because the wall is too close by.
Like I said, it is just that last 10% from being perfect.

It is a lovely hotel in the center of the city. We enjoyed every minutes of our stay.

Great hotel at a central location, a nice walk to the main square but also to the train station where the Malmo train departs. We booked the junior suite which was reasonably priced and loved the extra space. The bathtub and sink were made of stone, there was art in the the room and in the corridors. Great selection of toiletries. Loved having a dressing gown in the room. Highly recommend the hotel!

We weren’t keen on the breakfast offer, espresso, latte, cappuccino etc are charged extra but there is drip coffee included in the price. Other than breakfast we loved it though. And there are plenty of great breakfast places within a short walking distance.

Ideally situated in the centre of Copenhagen but on a quiet street with a park opposite. You can walk through the park to get to the Little Mermaid statue. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the refreshments provided in the room were of excellent quality. Breakfast offer was varied and good and there is also a very good fish restaurant on site. Close to the metro and easy to get to from the airport.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The custom toiletries they made were by far the best I've used in a while. The rooms were incredibly cozy and it was very close to many places but far from the crowds.

Babette Guldsmeden is a super charming, cozy hotel which makes you feel like you’re visiting someone’s big, fancy, old (but in an elegant and cute way) house, and the service personal AND professional. They made my friends and I feel so welcome and really made our first impression of Copenhagen and its people the best ever.
