21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati, Ohio

The location was great, the bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean.

It was disappointing that the "guide" button on the TV remote did not work. Scrolling at night got tiresome.

Great location also basically a hotel inside an art museum. Very unique. We also loved the restaurant.

Our room was a little dusty, and the shower handle was broken and didn’t attach to the plumbing properly so it was a little dangerous. But the room itself was very nice.

Room was clean and tidy.

Staff on the first evening of my arrival were cold and didn't engage too much. Very matter of fact and down to business. Not the most welcoming or friendly. Compared to the following days where the staff had more energy and were nice. Food at the restaurant was also incredibly salty.

The art was very beautiful and the room was nice. Staff were very helpful.

The shower was the worst part. Handle very difficult to move and some water sprayed to the side. Something wrong with the drain plug.

Great hotel, Clean, central and the museum is a fun added extra.

Loved the Metropole Restaurant, the art and the comfy bed.

I long to have two comfy chairs. I hate sitting on the bed for reading or tv.

There is a nice bar and an art gallery downstairs. It is very conveniently located as we walked to the Steelers game, dinner at Boca and Fountain Square easily.

Pulling up at night, it was not well marked and I drove past it. Valet was available but we parked around the corner in a lot. I wasn't sure where to go when I walked in.

Extend hours on Saturday for the free tasting of bourbon to go along with your museum tour. From the website it stated that it was open ‘until’. It did not have an ‘end time’. We returned to the hotel around 11:05/11:15 and they had already stopped serving so we did not get to use any of our vouchers. Very disappointed. When I got off the elevator to go to the room, the first thing that I observed were the long black streak marks on the white walls. When we made another left to get to the room, there were more streak marks on that wall as well. Not sure when the last time they have been cleaned or painted. Once in the room, it reeked of smoke and the lamp next to the bed was broken. How the cleaning staff could miss that and not bring it to management attention and have it replaced is beyond me. We immediately went back downstairs, explained the situation to the front staff. They apologized and immediately switched our rooms which I appreciated. The location was great. Very close to the venue where we attended the Men Of Honor Gala. For the price I paid, which was a gift to my brother and his wife. I’m sorry to say that the Hyatt Regency, where we also had rooms was cheaper and the rooms were just as good as 21C. My brother did not complain about the bed, so I’m assuming it was comfortable. If in Cincinnati again, I would definitely return to the hotel, just to view and take a stroll through the museum. I don’t believe I would stay there.

At that price level, I would expect a few more amenities, e.g. daily bottled water, shower cap and Q tips replaced when being used, etc.

Great location in the middle of downtown Cincinnati. Close to a streetcar stop and walkable to the riverfront and OTR. Fun rooftop bar and really good ground floor bar/restaurant Metropole

Not very good views from the rooms with buildings all around.

Excellent food and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Facilities could use some maintenance. Bath drain was broken and many flickering and burnt-out lights.

Gorgeous hotel and the room was clean, spacious, and bathroom was huge.

Loved the museum, the bedding was amazingly comfortable. The staff very friendly and attentive. The spa was great. Barbara and Desiree were fantastic.

The toilet ran the whole time we were there even though we reported it on day 1. The outside of the windows are in desperate need of cleaning.

We did not eat breakfast there. We love the place but it wasn't very clean. Scuffs on the hallway walls, carpet fraying and dirt in the corners of the room and bath. Love the decor and the walls in the bath.

Our room was nice. The pillows were horrible and the shower had a lot of mold. Needed to be cleaned better.

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. I also really liked the shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower.

The hotel needs a little TLC. Fresh paint in the hallways and hotel room.

I’m sorry the rooftop wasn’t open during our stay.

Our lights were on a timer. They’d go off every few minutes. We had to open the door every time to rest timer. Told desk. They said they’d fix it, but it wasn’t fixed.

I tried to book a suite because I liked the one I had last time.

There was no suite available. I was quoted a price of $269 +tax. The bill was $560 with the only extra service $40 for overnight valet parking. How did we get double tge rate quoted?

Coffee maker in room 713 didn't work. Parking was waaaay more expensive than anticipated. No complimentary breakfast was a bit surprising, at this price point.

See above. The art is fascinating, workout room pretty good, and room was fine, save for the coffee maker.

Excellent customer service all around. The front desk and valets were super helpful with things to know and recommendations for what to do in the city.

Unnecessary complications with tax exemption (worked eventually, after some back and forth). At this price, I would have expected staff to handle this straight away, especially since I had pointed it out when booking.

areas of the hotel need updated. For example, carpet in the room was frayed. Although the bedding was certainly Covid, safe with the double sheets in a blanket if you want to sleep with the room cool this was not enough to keep you comfortable. I wish there had been a duvet with a cover that was changed. we had a suite with a large extra room and sectional and dining table. Refrigerator was not stocked with any amenities to purchase and there was no microwave.

1) Please consider opening the restaurant an hour early. I was really hungry and didn't have reservations for anything nearby. I also didn't want "snacks" like chips, etc. 2) The hotel ran out of bottled water one night which was not ideal for me. I wasn't feeling well and really needed it.

I paid almost 400/night. The room was small outdated and dingy. No fridge or microwave. Not worth the money at all.
