Kempinski Nile Hotel, Cairo

We had a wonderful stay at the Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo with our family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 13). The environment was elegant and relaxing, the rooms spotless, and the staff incredibly polite and attentive. The amenities were top-notch, catering perfectly to both adults and children. The location is ideal—central yet peaceful—with stunning views of the Nile. Everything was truly excellent. Highly recommended!

Brilliant staff - all helpful and friendly. Rooms were great - good bathrooms, strong air conditioning, and lots of space. Food in hotel for breakfast and other meals was high quality - the cakes in the lobby were reasonably priced and tasted excellent. Felt very secure, doormen helped find taxis and always checked it was the right tour. Rooftop view was very impressive and the pool was a nice place to cool down after a day of sites.

Nothing - would go back again.

Very small pool/terrace area. Fights over 9 sunbeds. Not enough tables and chairs. Food and drinks expensive and not varied menu between pool/jazz bar room service. All bread and chips. Not much authentic. Allowing smoking inside the jazz bar….smells horrible and gave me a persistent cough.

Due to the Egyptian bank mistake over £1000 were blocked for a week, and I had to pay for my suite twice. When the mistake was found by the staff, they cancelled my electronic key to the suite instead of calling me and explaining the situation.

The kindness and the heart that meets you at Kempinski on Nile is unmatched. You feel like a member of a big family that genuinely cares for you. Everyone is highly professional. If you travel alone you don’t need to worry about anything as the Concierge team will look out for your safety and your best. Housekeeping, room service, butler service all superb. Finally Ladies in Red gracefully follow up the totality of your stay and comfort. I am deeply grateful to everyone at the hotel.

Hotel has a very good location. We arrived late and our family room was not ready. We waited for 1h to finalize everything and it was after midnight. The problem was the transferring data from booking to hotel, and same for payment. I couldn’t pay using e-card, virtual card. Hotel required only physical. But I did all reservations using my virtual card because it’s convenient. So, at night at the arrival day I spent 1h to solve this issue. They cancelled my reservation and did new one. About food: breakfast is good, variety of choice. Rooms require renovation, air conditioners are very old. Beds and pillows are good. Family room is okay but for kids their room was too small. It had sofa, small table, +2 extra beds. No space at all.

View and setting of executive lounge and length of time when free alcohol was served ( limited time available not advertised. ) Also for a hotel of this standard to have exceptionally limited spirits availability despite the bar menu was poor.

Lovely clean and modern hotel in a brilliant location. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are very helpful with booking excursions and giving reccomendations. Great security and safety measures. Turkish restaurant is fabulous, we didn’t get the chance to try the other restaurant as a la carte was closed there during Ramadan. The food and drink had great options and was reasonably priced. Pool area and spa area was very clean and well staffed.

Unfortunately during the full length of our stay, the hotel was having maintenance. We weren’t made aware of this ahead of time, and was only made aware after we’d paid on check-in. This included very large periods of either intermittent or full power outages (scheduled from 8:30 - 15:30 each day). This affected the power, air con, lights, ATM machines, elevators, just to name a few things. We were dissapointed that we didn’t have the opportunity to know this ahead of check-in, or offered a discount or gesture of goodwill of some kind, as it was a significant disruption. I would also say that compared to other 5* hotels in the area, there’s little choice for restaurants here with only 2 available (plus pool menu / in room dining). We spent most our time dining in other hotels for some variation.

The personnel was very friendly and helpful, assisted to any situation. The breakfast was rich with many choices. Our room had a very nice view to the Nile and we made use of the rooftop for a light dinner and the view was amazing. Security standards are high.

Didn’t manage to have the right temperature with the aircondition.

The hotel offered a great experience overall, but the maintenance during this week was disappointing. Guests were not informed about it before booking, which caused inconvenience. Better communication would have made the stay much smoother.

Rooms could do with a bit of an update

A graciously styled hotel that has a feel of classic luxury. I was looking for something that was smaller, with a more intimate feeling than the big contemporary hotels that for me are a bit soulless. My travel agent suggested the Kempinski and it was exactly what I wanted. The location is great. I thought of staying in Giza but I am glad I chose downtown instead because I wanted an experience of being in the city.

I can’t really find faults. I opted for a deluxe Nile view room. The room was lovely but it was on the second floor and thus a bit loud from traffic at night. But they were absolutely accommodating and moved us to a higher floor the very next night. The customer relations staff person went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I’ve never experienced such a high quality of service.

The room was very spacious and the team was hospitable, and allowed me to check in early as well. The rooftop bar is quite nice and the view from the top is great. I lost my phone in my room and the security team found it for me even after I checked out and made sure I didn't leave before they found it and were super helpful.

The room service was a little slow when I asked for something a few times and seemed a tiny bit uncoordinated. That didnt affect the stay or the experience one bit.

I recently stayed at your hotel from November 15th to 19th, 2024. While I appreciated the assistance from Ms. Abeer Abdel Fattah in Guest Relations, I found several aspects of my stay less than satisfactory. The breakfast area was quite small with limited food options, and the room quality did not match the high price. Additionally, the air conditioning in my room was not working, and despite informing the staff multiple times, it was never fixed. I hope you will take these points into consideration for future improvements.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The jazz bar and Turkish restaurant were excellent (food, drinks and service). The staff at the desk were also very helpful.

Staff called the room twice at 5:30 pm when I was resting after a full day out seeing sites and museums. One was a ridiculous request to pay a bill from the rooftop pool bar in cash that I had already charged to the room; the other was to ask when I was checking out and whether I had enjoyed my stay.

Great location and facilities. The room is elegant and bed is super comfortable. Staff are all friendly and helpful. We visited Khan market and had dinner in a Turkish restaurant recommended by hotel. It was very authentic experience.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff go out of their way to serve, help and please the guests. I would like to highlight the outstanding job of Mohamed Hussein and Sabry from the Concierge department who helped us organize all our excursions, sightseeing tours, taxis, guides and everything we needed.. Also Ahmed at THE BLUE restaurant was great. He prepared a traditional Egyptian breakfast for us and was always there to bring us what we wished. The location is perfect, a very safe area and close to most attractions. We definitely recommend this hotel for your best experience in Cairo and look forward to returning!

In the room there was snacks left but these are all covered in dust and obviously been there for a long time and nobody had cleaned them. The window didn’t shut properly and therefore there’s a lot of noise from the street. Also we booked a Nile view and I would argue that this was more of a partial view blocked by trees and was more located to the side of the building but as we were there for one night we didn’t raise this.

The balcony of our suite was too small.

The staff, the location, the bedsheets are really clean ( I have a sensitive skin and usually I use my own pillow cover). The staff again 👍🏻 Flexible when I asked for early check in, but for the check out there was extra charge.

A little dislike only.. the entrance has low ceiling and not very clear for uber and careem. Not at all affected our stay just commenting on it.
