Very near everything, stop number 8 on sight seeing bus, Irish pub around corner and loads of restaurants, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful

Everything was excellent. Next to metro so it was easy to travel the city. The staff were outstanding on reception. Could not do enough for you. My room was an economy room as they call it. Not to me it wasn't. Just beautiful overlooking the lobby which is amazing in itself. Double bed ensuite bathroom. Room was larger than most hotels I've stayed in. I cannot recomend this place enough and the city itself is beautiful. Just get on metro or trams and enjoy. I only had 3 days there and didn't see a third of itid say. Price wise is very reasonable too. Cheaper than dublin and .most parts of Ireland now..Once again I loved this hotel and I am going back again as soon as I can. Just perfect.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The bed was a little soft but we loved the design of the room (the bathroom was a cube in the middle of the room, with mirrors all round it creating a feeling of space. There was comfortable seating. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Breakfast was ok - options were a bit limited - and on the last morning, when we went down a little later, the food was dried out and the staff were very intent on cleaning up the dining room, even though there were 45 mins before breakfast was over. Good location for trams etc, making travel around the city super easy.

Breakfast left a little to be desired but overall a very nice few days.

This is a special place. They've really thought through the full guest experience and everything is quick, seamless, and exceeded expectations. From the luggage storage to the co-working space and from the welcoming lobby to the elegantly finished rooms, I can't recommend Oktogon highly enough.

Beautiful, spacious hotel. Double set of windows for perfect sound insulation in rooms. Great location on main street near metro. Great breakfast. Best of all: friendly staff.

Great location and nice decor , the room was very comfortable

Beautiful building and hotel, our room was absolutely lovely! We had a late flight, but lucky for us - it was possible to check-in after midnight. Shutters on the windows helped us sleep wonderfully, which was very much needed. Very responsive and friendly staff. Thank you!

The main lobby of the hotel is stunning, rooms were very clean and a nice temperature considering it was freezing outside! Staff were helpful and the location is great. I arrived at 9pm and the man who was working recommended the pizza shop next door ( not associated with the hotel but open until 10pm) the pizza was great, so if you do arrive late you need to give it a try. Unfortunately I never got to try any of the hotel food as I had other plans for my trip, maybe next time! I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Clean and gorgeous hotel. The front desk is available 24/7 and were very nice and ensure we had everything we need. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. I didn’t use all the hotel amenities but we could access the gym and sauna. 2min walk to the metro and great central location, very easy to access. Definitely recommend for all those staying in Budapest!

A special thank you to Fruzsina Juhasz, who took care of everything with truly exceptional professionalism and kindness. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and perfectly located. Check-in was smooth, the room spotless with great amenities, and the sauna/spa area was a great bonus. Breakfast was delicious with nice local touches. This was a surprise trip for my partner, and the hotel helped make it unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, really helpful staff. We got a room upgrade on arrival which was lovely. Sauna and wellness room was an added bonus. The blackout blinds in the room were great too.

The hotel is in a great location and it has a beautiful mix of classic architecture with modern touches. The room was impeccably clean and comfortably furnished. Also, upon arrival, we received a small welcome desert, which was a pleasant touch. Breakfast is diverse with good quality products. Overall we had a great time at Hotel Oktogon and would like to come back next time we are in Budapest!

We loved the standard of cleanliness and the level of professionalism shown by all staff we encountered. Our stay was made memorable by the excellence of service and the standard of the hotel. The decor and interior was stunning, location was perfect for us and everything we planned to do and from the moment we arrived til we checked out we were blown away but the hospitality of staff. Perfect location and looks stunning

I had an amazing stay at Oktogon Haggenmacher. The receptionist was very friendly, and when I needed to print something for my travel journey, they were kind enough to help me. The location is also excellent, as the metro is only a 5-minute walk away. The area felt very safe, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any time during my stay. If you’re coming to Budapest, this hotel is a great option.

My stay at Hotel Oktogon Haggenmacher by Continental Group was very pleasant. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and provided everything I needed. The room was very clean and well-organized, and the hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful. I also appreciated the luggage lockers available after checkout. My only comment is that the sound insulation between the room door and the hallway could be improved. Overall, it was a great experience.

It smelt amazing the minute we walked in! The staff were very accommodating and they left us a a little bottle of wine for my husbands birthday which was so so nice!

Interior of hotel was beautiful.

Hotel was clean but the carpet in our bedroom did not look clean. Two single duvets on the first night meant it was uncomfortable as a couple. We did get the chance to ask for double but this may be a standard for couples. I can appreciate that singles could be better for friends who are sharing. Towels are not changed every day. We are charged for water it should be complimentary.

Very beautiful hotel in a great safe location, walkable to all attractions. Dozens of restaurants around the corner. Simple but delicious breakfast with greens, eggs, pastries, fruits. You can also have coffee/water at the lobby during the day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! :)

We found the room a bit small, but its a minor thing

The overall feel of the hotel is excellent, it's worth reading the history behind the renovation to see how this was incorporated into the design and the feel. Everything was clean, well kept and the hotel actually had a 'scandi' feel to it. Facilities were excellent, particularly the secure locker room which makes early arrivals a breeze.

The receptionist staff could not have been more friendly. We were looking for cocktail bar recommendations and these were forthcoming and all were excellent. The bartender at the small upstairs bar was also excellent and made a mea espresso martini.

The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to reach many of Budapest’s major sights, yet it remains quiet and peaceful. The room feels both cozy and spacious, offering a comfortable place to unwind after a day of exploring. A 24/7 gym is available, which is a great bonus, and the breakfast is genuinely excellent. On top of it all, the staff is super helpful and welcoming, adding to an overall great stay.

Everything … super comfortable, a stunning building, amazing staff and fantastic value for money … we will be back soon.
