We found the location to be excellent for access to restaurants, public transportation etc.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, quiet, and the bed was excellent. The ventilation worked well, which made the room feel fresh throughout our stay. You could set the room temperature you liked. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide and varied selection of high-quality options. We would happily stay here again.

The only inconvenience was that there was no possibility of opening the window to let fresh air in. Ventilation is done through artificial ventilation.

A smart, well run hotel in a character building (former mansion). Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Oktogon is in a great location at the top of Andrassy Street.

The location of the hotel is easy to reach by metro and on a busy street. The room was so beautiful with a glass rooftop. It is clean and has a coffee machine. When you ask, you can get tooth brush, slippers etc. The staff at the reception are welcoming and helpful. The historical looking of the building and cool design of the room was awesome. I like the hotel very much and feel comfortable and safe during my stay.

The location and access to the excellent public transport network, Everyone over 65 travels for free and it's very easy to use. The hotel was quiet and comfortable with good facilities in a great location.

A great hotel. In a great location for all the main sites in the city. The hotel itself was a beautifully refurbished building and had a real quality feel. The staff were friendly helpful and engaging. Breakfast was superb.

I liked the location; close to metro and tram stops. There is a Starbucks nearby and a grocery 3 blocks away. The room was comfortable with nice sheets, black out blinds, and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom drained well and the room was clean. You can also get filtered water from the ground floor restaurant. Great looking lobby.

It's carpeted and the duvets were single sized. You can definitely hear your neighbor's doors close and the morning cleanup starts at 9am so you can't sleep in.

Fantastic hotel. Very nice cleanliness. Great atmosphere. Perfect and professional staff. Great location — close to the train station and all the main sights. Excellent breakfasts. And all that for a truly unbeatable price. Highly recommended. If I travel to Budapest again, Hotel Oktogon is my clear choice. Many thanks to the staff who were accommodating in every way. We truly enjoyed our stay immensely — especially the accommodation in the suite, which is absolutely fantastic. Very quiet, with a great view of Budapest. You can truly enjoy the morning sunrises here.

The level of confusion when the fire alarm went off at breakfast. Guests didn't know what to do, and there was no instruction from staff.

The luggage storage set up after booking out of our room, Having to do it by ourselves. It was secure but different to many other hotels who simply tag luggage and then take it and store it for you.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years all over Europe and America. This is one of the best. The hotel is located at Oktogon, a beautiful upper class part of Budapest and a brilliant location, every main attraction is within a 20 minute walk, or there are plenty of buses/trams and the metro outside the hotel. From the moment you arrive gazing at the grand architecture you are met with a lovely scent that can only be described as summer! (This is a secret combination of scents created for the hotel!). The reception area is grandeur at its finest as the hotel was built as a palace by two Hungarian families. The reception staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful for both hotel information and local attractions/restaurants. The rooms are individually coloured, green/blue/red that is accented by the fittings. Very comfortable bed, double windows and blackout blinds. The hotel can supply most forgotten items and are always happy to help. The most recommended hotel we've had the pleasure to stay at in one of the most beautiful cities!

Everything was fine

Location was great. We walked every where, looking at the beautiful architecture. Staff was very helpful with suggestions, calling for dinner reservations, answering questions before we arrived.

Breakfast was adequate, never changed over 5 mornings.

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and his Birthday. The staff made this stay extra special by providing us with some gifts to celebrate this and a lovely note. This hotel was the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in! Always very warm which was lovely after cold days exploring. Reception and bar staff were very attentive and kind to us. This hotel was very clean and a very short walk to the closest metro so easy to get around the city from this location. Hotel is around a 30 minute Uber ride from the airport and which the cost converted to under 20GBP so very affordable. We are in love with Budapest and this hotel and will be sure to return. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay😁

Beautiful inside, clean and relaxing atmosphere.

All is new and clean. The room was nice, on last floor, with a great panorama through roof windows.

The location was very central , the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms were lovely and clean .

The hotel was very nice staff are so nice and very helpful. It's the place to stay in the middle for everything.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and located centrally, high-speed free WiFi, and the staff (who speak good English) are always on hand to help with anything. The room was a good size, the large windows making the room light with far-reaching views across the city, but with black out blinds for a good night's sleep. The shower has great water pressure, even at busy times of the day - something unusual in a hotel. Lots of variety in the buffet breakfast to set you up for the day.

It was a shame there's no restaurant for evening meals in case you are too tired from exploring all day to venture back out.

Everything. Beautiful entry hall, they accommodated my request to be high up and away from elevators for better sleep. Bed was comfortable, slept well, no noise. Breakfast had plenty of options including Kaiserschmarren.

This hotel was everything I would want from a hotel - Clean, quiet, safe, comfortable, spacious room, perfect location, great shower/water pressure. I don't need any extras, I need the basics to tick all the boxes and not disappoint. There's also saunas and gym that looked amazing but we didn't even get to try. We had a perfect stay.

Everything was great. Not much could be better. I would have liked free water bottles in the room maybe, this is something more common in other places now but certainly not an issue, and I would have liked to open the beautiful window/balcony to the inner courtyard, but maybe we didn't really try enough.

The hotel itself is a beautiful building in the perfect location for tourists. This hotel offered 5 star value at a very good price.
