The location is great, the hotel is really clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is very good too.

Fabulously grand and memorable interior, very grand. Location is ideal, especially with the metro nearby - easily walkable to main things to see and do.

If being hyper critical our room was a bit small and lacked a proper wardrobe, but was still very nice and well-appointed.

Location was brilliant. Very clean. Good breakfast. Loved the use of the sauna. Luggage lockers great too.

Lovely hotel well located in Budapest to allow you to walk to most of the sights. The rooms were warm and comfortable and despite being at the front of the hotel the soundproofing was excellent so we were not disturbed by the road outside at all. Breakfasts were varied and of a good quality.

Overall the staff at the front desk and those at breakfast were excellent. We found it odd that the bar was not open on certain days, and then on one occasion when it was open the staff member was not present and away for so long we gave up and went out instead. Found it odd that one of the front desk staff didn't step in to cover.

We would choose this hotel over & over again. Very clean hotel, really friendly staff & really beautiful interior, including hotel room. Walking distance to all main attractions & hotel is located in a great area. We visited Budapest to celebrate my birthday and the staff at Hotel Oktogon prepared a birthday card, chocolates & prosecco in our room which was really thoughtful. Thank you to all the staff for making this stay a memorable one, which exceeded our expectations!

Amazing hotel close to everything! Staff were very helpful in suggesting activities and practical things like showing us where umbrellas were to take for the day. Breakfast was lovely...can get busy at peak times. Room was spacious and clean.

Only negative was that the bar was closed for 2 nights of our stay which was a shame considering the bad weather but not a huge issue!

Breakfast was fine, a little busy when we used this option, so may have effected our overall score.

The building architecture is outstanding with an amazing entrance hall and lobby. The hotel was extremely comfortable throughout and so clean. The bedroom were extremely spacious and a comfortable temperature. The rooms were serviced daily if wanted. At breakfast there were plenty of options either hot or cold and were delicious (I think I tried most across our stay). The staff were all so friendly and helpful.

The bath towels were a little on the small side and not what you might expect of a hotel of this calibre. Also, the hotel bar did not appear to be open during our stay although a limited bar service may have been available via reception.

We found the location to be excellent for access to restaurants, public transportation etc.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, quiet, and the bed was excellent. The ventilation worked well, which made the room feel fresh throughout our stay. You could set the room temperature you liked. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide and varied selection of high-quality options. We would happily stay here again.

The only inconvenience was that there was no possibility of opening the window to let fresh air in. Ventilation is done through artificial ventilation.

A smart, well run hotel in a character building (former mansion). Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Oktogon is in a great location at the top of Andrassy Street.

The location of the hotel is easy to reach by metro and on a busy street. The room was so beautiful with a glass rooftop. It is clean and has a coffee machine. When you ask, you can get tooth brush, slippers etc. The staff at the reception are welcoming and helpful. The historical looking of the building and cool design of the room was awesome. I like the hotel very much and feel comfortable and safe during my stay.

The location and access to the excellent public transport network, Everyone over 65 travels for free and it's very easy to use. The hotel was quiet and comfortable with good facilities in a great location.

A great hotel. In a great location for all the main sites in the city. The hotel itself was a beautifully refurbished building and had a real quality feel. The staff were friendly helpful and engaging. Breakfast was superb.
