Hotel Gerlóczy Rooms de Lux, Budapest

Very nostalgic. Middle of different venues we attended. The apartment was very clean and we were able to have the towels replaced daily.

The air conditioning didn’t blow cold air. Reported it and still didn’t work very well. The shower leaked and had to turn the water off frequently while showering.

Very large room, comfy bed, with all expected amenities. No gym or spa. Convenient to all attractions in Budapest. Quiet location. Excellent, excellent restaurant where everything was perfectly prepared and served with style. I normally don't choose to eat at hotel restaurants but this was so good we ate there by choice several times plus every breakfast. They accommodated gluten free choices easily. And reasonably priced as well. Food in Budapest was generally less costly than Paris or London by a fair amount. I wouldn't recommend this for kids.

The bathroom was a bit quirky but we still liked it. We like boutique hotels because they all have a different style and Gerloczy had real charm. We also had a balcony to sit on in the evening. Just room for two.

The location is in the City Center which made walking around the City very convenient.

The only complaint was that we could not regulate the air conditioning in our room so sometimes it was hot, other times, cold, and other times just right.

Location was perfect for everything, numerous restaurants, bars, River Cruise departure point, Metro and Elisabeth bridge for crossing the Danube. Restaurant food & wine was excellent, reasonably priced, staff were attentive and happy. The pianist (saturday night) was brilliant! Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Brilliant location and more or less traffic free. Excellent room with lovely views. Restaurant / Cafe was superb.

One waitress at Breakfast was very poor and almost spoiled the whole experience m.

Service at desk was exceptional. Large quiet room with balcony extremely close to shops and restaurants.

The pillows are not comfortable. Very small. While the bathroom was fullly cleaned each day, the room itself was only reorganized and not properly cleaned.

We stayed for a total of 8 nights, in two different rooms on the second floor. These rooms could not have been more fabulous! Absolutely beautiful! Everyone working the front desk was lovely and incredibly helpful. Additionally, the hotel restaurant was excellent, we ended up eating there every night. Not just because the food was excellent, but perhaps even more because of the staff. We all became good friends and it was just perfect!

The location was just right close to everything, the restaurant was lovley, good choice , good atmosphere , we ate in there many times. the room was the attic room there is a lift but bed was on a plynth, would ask for different room purely for mobility issues.

This was a nice little hotel in a quiet square close to the centre of Budapest. My room was large with big windows and a decent en-suite. It was simple it terms of its decor and facilities but was very comfortable and clean. The cafe on the ground floor is very nice, with good food and service and a nice terrace. The staff (both in the hotel and in the cafe) were very polite and helpful.

Simple nice small hotel, with nice rooms with high ceilings and a nice bathroom. A great plus is the nice restaurant. Great old vibe witha a nice menu. And friendly personnel.

A fabulous hotel with super friendly staff who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Great location too for a choice of restaurants, the metro and if you are intending to take a river cruise, all are within easy walking distance. We had a beautiful room on the first floor, with one of only two balconies over looking the street. Would definitely recommend/ go back.

Only slight negative was being an older building, the rooms are finished in a traditional style with parquet wooden floors, so heavy footed guests residing the upper floors will be apparent if you are a light sleeper.

In a great location, quiet, and very comfy.

You can shower only using the bath. It's nice. However, water will fly all over the floor whenever you shower.
