Hotel Gerlóczy Rooms de Lux, Budapest

We were so happy everything was so good staff so helpful and extremely friendly.Restaurant was great,Hot chocolate was the best we have had for a long time.the room was amazing,location is great so central to walk to all the markets and lights. If we ever return to Budapest we will definitely stay in this hotel again both of us just loved it.

Room 4 on the 4th floor was so charming. It is an attic room with big exposed beams. The bathroom tile floor was warm!! The only problem was closing the shower door, but after I figured it out…GREAT.

The mirror in the bathroom is 3 feet away, but there is a hand mirror to use.

The hotel was very centrally located in Pest and in easy walking distance to all its main attractions. The bus from the airport stopped 5 minutes walk away so really easy transfers etc. The room was warm, clean and very comfortable and had everything that was needed to make our stay easy. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was an extra bonus having the cafe’ / bistro downstairs where we had breakfast and dinner on several occasions during our stay and where the food was delicious. It was quiet at night so we slept really well! The hotel also has an amazing spiral staircase- instagram perfect!!

Brilliant location and within a 10 minute walk of all the various Christmas markets, the river cruise, and then a 5min walk from the 100E bus stop & the metro. Hotel itself was good with massive floor to height ceilings, underfloor heating in the bathroom & an amazing central staircase which runs through the building. All the breakfast is cooked fresh & very tasty

Quite unusual, but for a double bed they give you two single duvets. So no all night snuggles with your partner then!

The location was excellent and very near the Christmas markets and within walking distance to all the main sites.

We chose this hotel based on the location and design, especially the room with the balcony on the 2nd floor, but we got the room with the balcony on the 1st floor, which is a little less good, especially in the shower which lacks a closure. But overall we had a great time.

Best stay ever! Rooms are nice and clean, staff polite and very serviceminded. And the breakfast is just fantastic! We would love to come back!

Great location, within walking distance of all major sites but in a very quiet street. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the a day's sightseeing. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Highly recommend if staying in Budapest.

The rooms were lovely, very clean and quirky with very comfortable bed and quiet at night. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh orange juice. Slightly sliw service on our first morning, but this was clearly just a one-off as the rest of the time, all the staff were great.

Lovely hotel full of old world charm. Very welcoming staff and excellent restaurant for dinner. Food was delicious. We were in attic room full of character and old world decor. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The bed in the attic room is on a high platform, while we had no problems it could be quite unsafe for people with compromised mobility. The other issue is the room temperature. The attic room is hot and stuffy and the air conditioner is not effective. Heated bathroom floor adds to the humidity. The staff were extremely responsive when we called on the second night and they were able to open the windows in the slanted ceiling which helped make the room more comfortable.

The restaurant was excellent. Our room was a little small, not terrible. But our adult daughter had a very large room to herself!

The location is perfect. The double bedroom was really nice and comfortable.

No shower in the bathroom, only a bath! Mini bar but nothing is free, so be careful, all items are expensive.

The room AC did not work. Simply pumped room air with no cooling or heating. Clearly a cost saving measure. Made room way to hot at night. Would NOT recommend this place on that measure alone.

Great looking hotel both inside and out. Has a 19th century feel to it. Far better than the large hotel chains. Excellent staff and breakfast was quality. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location. Beautiful building and rooms. Staff were extremely helpful, especially reception/concierge. Breakfast was fantastic.

The room furniture, while beautiful was not always practical eg clothes storage was awkward and limited. Very small and thin towels, although they were changed daily which was helpful. No lounge/bar to sit and have a drink before going out in the evening - you have to sit in the dining room or outside at the cafe chairs and tables.

Great location. All staff happy to help, polite and friendly. Rooms good size and good value for money in mini fridge. The food is absolutely outstanding, great choice and delicious from breakfast to dinner.

The hotel is beautiful. Our room was incredibly comfortable . The cafe where breakfast is served was incredibly atmospheric . Great location easy walk to trams and attractions .

This hotel has a quiet and sedate early 20th C French feel. It is a very good value for the price. The breakfast, included, is excellent, ordered off a menu with Hungarian recipes.

The room does not have a lot of room for stowing clothing.

This is a perfect location for District 1. We loved the beauty of the facilities and our room. The breakfasts were very, very good and the staff were all wonderful.

We were extremely well taken care of. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We liked the room with its very comfortable bed. It was clean and spacious. We had a minor problem with a leek in the bathroom but the staff (especially the young gentleman we were dealing with) were exceptionally helpful. It was all sorted. Breakfast was excellent and staff here also very friendly.

The only very minor issue might be the hand basin in the bathroom. It was a bit too big in proportion to the rest of the bathroom and took up a little too much space.
