Brody House, Budapest

The building is beautiful - an amazing place to stay, with each room nicely curated and clean - rooms were checked and sheets changed every day it seemed. We had late flights so didn’t check-in until morning but it was easy to follow the instructions from the hotel so we could get to our room. You can view the whole building on the hotels website if you want to see the whole thing. They have a great cafe which while a bit more pricey than some other cafes in the city does great food and coffee which makes it worth it. Staff were helpful and kind, and the shared communal areas had all we needed (from simple things like cutlery to your own room fridge and a shared washing machine). There’s an option to buy drinks from the fridge or just keep your own stuff in there. The room had ample space for two people, and a lovely bath/shower (stayed in the Droga room which is right next to a balcony overlooking the inside of the hotel). Also great location, as it’s next to a cool little bar on the same street and close to the basilica, ruins bars and other tourist sights (only 20 minute walk to Rudas bath which I would also recommend)! Would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in Budapest.

Loved the vibe of this hotel. Each room is designed by a different artist making each room unique and telling its own story. The whole hotel oozes with art, stories and designs - even the toilets in the bar have clippings and cuttings that you can spend time reading/viewing! We stayed in the Droga suite, which was exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed and had everything you need. The communal honesty bar/kitchenette was a really lovely touch and so creatively thought out, giving us everything we’d need for our stay. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The bar and food were also very good. Great service and quality.

Stunning room, access to sitting rooms and well-equipped kitchen much appreciated with a delightfully stylish ambiance. Conveniently situated within easy walking distance of two metro stations and right next door to the Historical Museum. Oh and the bed was super comfortable too!

Some travellers might not appreciate the two flights of stairs up to the bedrooms but for me that was fine

It is perfect in every way - a dream stay in the middle of Budapest

I loved the unique and intentional designs of each room. Everything was comfortable and very beautiful.

It was surprising to not have more assistance from the staff. There were subtle things like not having someone help us with our bags up the two flights of stairs. We also rarely saw anyone at the front desk.

Loved the scale of Bródy House with that big staircase and high ceilings. The period details alongside contemporary finishes was just fab. And having our own kitchen/drawing room made for a very comfortable stay.

One small detail - it would have been good to have a speaker for some music.

Cool, laid-back shabby chic hotel in an awesome location. Rooms are thoughtfully appointed and there's info on great local restaurants, etc. Would absolutely stay there again!

There was a motion activated light leading into the dressing room & toilet area. The light was far too bright for middle if the night potty trips.

Brody was by far the accommodation highlight of our six week trip around Europe. The room was beautiful, interesting, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. The staff were lovely and helpful, the cafe on the ground floor was handy and yum, and the hotel is conveniently located for exploring Budapest on foot and/or by metro. We loved the communal area shared by three of the rooms with a kitchen, great mini bars, and laundry facilities. Can't recommend highly enough!

Wouldn't change a thing!

I appreciate the staff’s lovely service and the cleaning touch up they do daily. They place water to drink and iron & ironing board without actively asking for it. The fixtures are artsy, quirky but all with modern finish and function.

Just maybe not the best location for transfer but Kalvin Ter station is close by.

The rooms are magical, charming, quirky and extraordinarily large with very high ceilings….a real experience. Staff were very helpful and responsive and the breakfasts delicious.

The spiral staircase to our room presented a challenge but fortunately the staff helped with our bags.

It’s so unique, spacious and well maintained. The art, and style is so refreshing. The shower was incredible! I would stay here again and again!

I wish there were an elevator to carry heavy bags

The property is stunning, it was such a beautiful addition to our vacation. Budapest is filled with architectural gems and we got to stay in one. Great breakfast also!

This is hands down the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The design is cozy and uniquely bohemian. The rooms I've seen are spacious and equipped with all one needs. The location is very conveniently right between the two main metro lines but in a quiet street. The staff is very helpful and lovely. I look forward to being back.

The Brody House is not your average hotel. It is an art gallery. It is a restaurant/cafe. It is history. It is the ideal location. We found the Brody House to be among the very finest hotels we have EVER stayed in!! Our room was larger than some apartments we've lived in, but with so much class and funky style!

This hotel is stunning. The rooms are individually curated by artists and provide all the facilities you need for a very comfortable stay. We even had a shared kitchen which was very well equipped.
