The Hoxton, Brussels

The stay was excellent. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and offered an absolutely beautiful view that made the experience even more special. The room service was impressive, with particularly delicious calamari that exceeded expectations. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient throughout the process. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to try the rooftop(tope), the overall experience was still wonderful. Great service, beautiful surroundings, Highly recommended.

The only downside was the breakfast, as the croissants did not feel fresh and were disappointing for the price. The room lighting felt a little subdued at times, though this may simply reflect the hotel’s intended design and atmosphere.

Classic Hoxton style—stylish, modern, with a slightly vintage and unique touch. The public areas are particularly well designed and inviting, making it easy to feel comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent, with attention paid to individual preferences, including room location. Overall, a very good stay.

This may be a personal preference, but I didn’t particularly enjoy the limited selection of dishes offered in the bar area. There was also an issue with my order—the vegetarian option seemed to be handled by simply removing the meat, which wasn’t ideal. It could sometimes be difficult to get the staff’s attention, possibly because the bar’s trendy atmosphere attracted many non-hotel guests as well. The location is another downside: it’s not very central, requiring a bit of a walk to reach the city center, and it sits near a slightly rougher area of Brussels. In the evenings especially, when it’s not possible to walk through the adjacent botanical garden to get to the centre, the alternative routes—often through underpasses—felt less pleasant and not particularly safe.

Cleanliness, location

The place itself was nice and the staff were welcoming. I liked that they lent me a charger plug when I forgot mine and gave us a little free drink for our anniversary. The bar on the rooftop was also great. The park close by was pretty.

I thought for a 4-5 star hotel there should be more amenities. We did not have any bathroom slippers or dressing gown. There wasn't any cotton pads or ear buds or even shower stuff for the bath whilst there was a bathtub in the room. Unfortunately the hotel was very close to some dodgy people loitering around the area. The walk near the park and towards the centre from the hotel was filthy.

The whole experience was amazing. From the start at the reception (lady called Cynthia I think), the upgrade of the room, the view on the 14th floor. The location from the centre was close and we walked. And the bed was AMAZING and so big, also the room and the bathroom. And cherry on the pie, was breakfast next morning (with cherry pie hahah). My stay was really 10 out of 10. Would recommend it to everyone.

Everything was so easy there. The welcoming staff and everyone around the hotel were so helpful and friendly. We didn't have breakfast but had a wonderful lunch on the terrace - fantastic value too! Our room was perfect with great bedding and pillows (I always moan about hotel pillows)! I would definitely return.

A very small point that there should be a small shelf when you are laying in the wonderful circular bath - a very small suggestion.

Lets start from the beginning. The welcoming staff was amazing. Check in was fast and everyone was friendly and helpful. The corner room was just… I have no words. The view, the interior design, the fluffy pillows and blanket- just perfect. The bed was not too soft or hard, everything was clean and smelled good. I loved the “little breakfast bag” option. Water pressure in the shower was very good. Would have stayed in the room for all of our vacation. Loved it! Thank you!

If they had a little coffee machine in the room, it would have been a perfect stay.

Excellent welcome and service throughout from all the staff but especially the ground floor restaurant team. Breakfast was superb with a great range and great quality. The interior design was great fun and full of character.

The location is near the Grand Place and the Mont des Artes, the main tourist areas of Brussels. It is also close to the main subway and regional train lines, enabling quick transit to other areas outside the main tourist zones.

Great vibe at the lobby with excellent 70s music. Roof top bar was also good. Good location although map to the 3 nearby metro stations should be on their website (took a while to figure out where they were on Google maps). Good location with Botanical garden just next door.

The water pressure was low and the sink drainage was poor. Wasn't sure if it was a feature of the 70s design since it was draining but very slowly.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in for sure. It was very clean and comfortable, really nicely decorated (the room, the hallway, the restaurant, the bar area, and everything), in a bit of an art-deco style, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great, and the drinks at the bar also really good. The location was also great, with botanical gardens right next to the hotel, very central and close to anything you might need (bars, restaurants, public transport). The city view from out window was really nice, and the room was very quiet. All in all, a really great hotel!

I would have liked to have two chairs with a backrest in the room (next to the table), since now one of us had to sit on the stool without the backrest when having coffee/tea/etc., which was not very comfortable.

Great food not only for breakfast. I like the combination of retro, latino and brutalist style in the room and whole building. Staff was very nice as usually.
