Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo, Brussels

Lots of character in a fantastic location close to the key sites, easy to reach others but quiet and away from the crowds.

the breakfast was excellent, our room was light and bright with the window, and the staff at the hotel were exceptional

as I've already said, we liked the staff, the bar (and its Chant d'Eole), the room, the location in downtown Brussels, and the size and decoration of the room. And we'd already been there, yet still feels like it's a new experience each time.

Nothing comes to mind on the negative side. The Amigo is a great hotel, period. We recommend it for tourists or locals (as we are). Without reservations.

Location the best, breakfast convenient @ early (06:30).

The staff were exceptional as they were friendly and polite and super helpful.

The bathroom was good but when you showered it flooded the bathroom which wasn't helpful as it didn't drain quickly and meant you had a puddle of water on the floor.

Location, the bar, the breakfast, the room, in no particular order. The location is amazing, right in the heart of Brussels, a short walk from the Grand Place, the Museum of BD, or the Manneken Pis. The Bar was great: we had Chant d'Eole, the world's best champagne (and a Belgian one). The breakfast was perfect. The Staff was great, as always (not our first time) - from the room lady to the concierge, or the waiters. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, great.

Nothing clearly comes to mind. Finding our way to our room did require a little geometry, but it was worth the effort (I'm not good at geometry, but my wife always finds the way). Other than that, there is really nothing on my did-not-like list.

I visited Brussels from 2-5 September 2025 and wanted to stay in a hotel that was (a) in or very close to the Grand Place, (b) easy to navigate from to all the other must-see sights, shopping areas and eating places, and (c) well known for its ambience and good service. After some research, I opted for the Amigo Hotel and I couldn’t have made a better choice. The location was perfect—just a lane away from the Grand Place. The room (including the attached bathroom) was spacious and comfortable, and the overall ambience carried a grand yet old-school charm. The staff were unfailingly hospitable, and their service was impeccable. Yes, the price is higher than many other hotels in Brussels, but it is luxury hotel and it was worth every cent for the comfort, convenience, and memorable experience. If I return to Brussels, I will definitely stay at Hotel Amigo again.

I should have booked a room that included breakfast. I thought I had done that , but upon check out, was told that my booking DID NOT include breakfast for two! A SHOCK!

Central location is perfect. Lovely safe neighborhood with many attractions within a short walk.

The staff although pleasant in general refused to deal with Booking.com after they discovered that I had two reservations (a mistake since I only reserved one room). I was in a foreign land on a Saturday night without sufficient language skills to deal adequately a situation like this. Absolutely no help in resolving this issue.

Hotel was beautiful, rooms were great clean and turn down service was superb. My only fault was things were over the top expensive. They had small bottles of water in the room, they were 9 euro, I went a block away and got a large bottle of Evian for 2 euro. Drinks at the lobby bar were 25 euro, the bar a block away were 8.50 euro. Breakfast was 45 euro per person, right across the street, a great waffle and coffee were under 10 euro. I mean come on,really . Just a lil price gouging.

The staff made everything in their effort make our stay more comfortable and conevinent as much as possible. I loved to the little details in the room such as the night cream they left on the bed. Also, I really liked the spaciousness of the bathroom and the room itself.

We loved our stay at Amigo. Staff was very attentive to details from the check-in to the check-out. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Location is just perfect next to Grand Place and the historical center of Brussels.

If we really need to mention something here, breakfast could have one notch better quality for the standard of the hotel.

I was upgraded to a larger room which had a view of the local street. The room service for "working dinners" on 2 different nights was excellent. The food arrived well prepared and the server set the meal up in a manner i could continue working. There was a treat of macarons gifted to the order. i also ordered breakfast on 2 occasions which came timely and well prepared. In addition all the staff greeted me every time I came in & out of the hotel, asking if I needed anything and politely offer their services if requested.

The rain head shower didn't have hot enough water to use. The bathtub faucet and handheld shower head had plenty of hot water.

Everything!!! The room was big with plenty of closet and drawer space. The hotel was beautiful and the restaurant was excellent. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable. The location was great!!

I did not love the bathtub/ shower combination. The tub was really high and the shower was not easy to figure out .

Everything,from the location to the friendly staff..the were so welcoming from the receptionist to the door man.. The furniture is new and nice.. I will recommend it to anyone will visit brussels..

Absolutely everything. The location was the best. Hotel was immaculate…. But most of all, the staff were fantastic. Every single person made you feel warm and welcomed. You were the centre of attention and they accommodated to anything you may need. Thank you so much.

The location

I initially thought it was a very fancy hotel, but I realized it was more of an apartment-style design. I had reserved a junior suite, but they upgraded me to a higher suite. During checkout, they requested that I pay a city tax of €5,000. I refused because, according to my reservation, all fees, including taxes, had already been paid in advance.

Very good location and friendly staff. Old premises but in good condition and well maintained.

It feels cold in restaurant as it was December and front door of Hotel is not kept closed. Also the same problem in Bar Magritte.

Breakfast include everything I liked and the staff was kindly. Location in old town was just perfeck, close to all nice buildings, museums. Room was nice and clean.

Room was a little bit cold and I could not get it warm, but that is very common in many hotels.

- the room was tidy - bathroom was ok - location is excellent - room service is great - staff overall are professional - concierge staff were very helpful - had a problem before checking out the safe stopped working after informing the front office about my issue all they needed is 5 minutes and the technician was there and solved the problem Such excellence is a trademark of Rocco forte collection

- unfortunately one cup was dirty in the room - the sink and the shower gets clogged - rates of the rooms are a little higher than what I would’ve expected - unfortunately one of the biggest problems is the sounds outside the room
