The Verb Hotel, Boston

We loved that it was different, very clean, so super friendly, so amazingly pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem we found only steps away from Fenway. We 100% would love to stay again.

Everything was perfect, above and beyond.

I loved the record player in the room and listening to records of my youth. The continental breakfast was amazing! The music memorabilia was so cool to peruse.

The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the additional touch of having record players in each of our rooms with a choice of LPs to play was very retro and we loved the music choice. Breakfast was provided and it catered for my daughter’s coeliac.

There’s nothing we didn’t like we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about visiting Boston.

We booked for 2 rooms, both were excellent! The whole place is decorated for the themes, very interesting. The location was good, walking distance to museums, downtown, restaurants. Will definitely book here again and highly recommend it.

Parking fee seems a little hefty, could be a little lower off-season period.

Everything was beyond my expectations.

The structure is beautiful. New, modern, with a unique style. It is beautiful to have a gramophone in the rooms on which to put a 45 rpm. It is also very nice to be able to stay in the outdoor pool area to sunbathe on the deckchairs and relax. The rooms are huge, with huge and super comfortable beds. The bathroom is very nice. And the services such as free drinking water are the best. Breakfast is also very much appreciated. Very courteous and helpful staff.

Not very close to the main attractions. Few transport links. The hotel might consider providing a shuttle or bicycles for the guests

The people that work at the Verb make it an exceptional place to stay! This is our 4th time returning, and though it is a bit pricy, it is 1 block from Fenway, and like I said, it's the people that work there! It is a truly great place to stay and base your Boston trip from!

We absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel. It is in a perfect location, near Fenway, House of Blues and so many other places. Everyone that worked here was outstanding, pleasant and very welcoming!!

Everything was utterly fantastic. The amenities, decor, and perks were outstanding Location could not be beat. Staff was INCREDIBLE. Cannot wait to stay here again.

Location was great to get to Fenway Park. Staff made us breakfast to go bags because we were going to miss breakfast in the morning because our flight was so early! Very helpful and kind! Atmosphere was great!

This hotel is the exact opposite of every cookie cutter hotel you've ever stayed in. Every room has a record player (our also had an antique typewriter) and there are records everywhere for you to use. The staff was SUPER friendly. They have fun little surprises hidden all over the place. I really thought it was a wonderful, quirky, clean, fun and fantastic experience

The room was really Big, Super Clean, Great location, Friendly staff and breakfast included. I would stay again.

Its just a two story building, personally I didn't love being on the ground floor. Felt like I was close to street entraces but they had security on the door and the area was safe.

We stay at the verb at least once a year for a Red Sox game and we love how close to Fenway. The hotel itself is a complete experience, we love picking out a couple favorite records, hanging in the room and swimming in the pool. The Hojoko restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants in Boston and it just makes the Verb that much better that it's part of the hotel. We also love the morning breakfast, especially the smoothies!

The music vibrant of this hotel is good.

Welcoming staff. Very nice breakfast setup which I didn't even know was included, but it was. Valet parking was easy and quick at both drop off and pickup. Some very nice touches such as free self serve water bottles in lobby, self serve LP classic records in lobby to bring back to your room which as a record player, within throwing distance of Fenway Park (ballpark view room allowed live enjoyment of roaring crowds and Sweet Caroline), nice pool and garden area with plenty of sunny morning seating, breakfast staff served you at the counter, made omelettes, waffles and smoothies for you, nice breakfast seating area inside and out, upstairs pool facing rooms have small balconies. Some have large balconies that get mid morning sun. Although it has a cool classic rock vibe with its decor and ammenities, there was never any loud music playing anywhere. A human always answers the phone. Had the best of both small and larger hotel benefits. Comfy bedding. Nice that you could partially open the window if you wanted and air conditioning worked well. There are classic campers on the grounds to book instead of a room. That was interesting to see.

Room was small. Some surfaces (shelves, dresser) weren't sparkling clean. Fridge had a high pitched hum until I turned the temp down to stop it. No outlet in bathroom so needed to move cofee maker over and plug hairdryer in outside bathroom. Very dark, not much lighting. Outlet on desk did not work so phone did not charge overnight. Open shower (no door or liner) allows bathroom floor to get very wet. Slight mildew smell in bathroom. We stayed two nights, leaving the room very early the first morning and coming back mid afternoon to find the room had not been cleaned. We asked for a late checkout but were told we had to show up at 7 am at front desk to be put on the list. FCFS late checkout. Got there at 7 am and was given just a half hour extension. Not really worth getting up early for.

Loved the whole music vibe and all the decor. Loved parking onsite. Checkin was fast Bed was comfy and room was super clean

I didn’t care for paying $460 for a night and still having to pay $73 for parking but I get it. May be a good idea to make the room $525 and say free parking. And I haven’t received my $100 deposit back yet although I just checked out today

Thy unique retro style and attention to detail made us remember our younger years. Loved the room and everything in it. The old record player was fantastic as was the ease at which we could pop down to reception and pick LP's of our choice.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The location was excellent within the walking distance to museums, restaurants, shops. The metro bus stops were close by too.

Loved the vibe of the whole place. Any time there is a guitar available to play in the lobby, that is a plus :) The room was good, the staff was excellent, the food/bar in the connect restaurant was very good, and there were lots of little things that I appreciated: umbrellas available in lobby to use, poop bags for dogs there too, free water bottles, coffee available 24/7. The included breakfast had good options, including a smoothie which I loved. And its convenient location to Fenway and Backbay was key. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Small nit: the shower was nice, but sprayed quite a bit into the rest of the bathroom with the open door. Don't think its an issue of the open door, more the water pressure (which is strong and great, but perhaps too much with open door).

The location in the center of Boston is perfect.
