Michelberger Hotel, Berlin

Great location everything there for late night Berlin fun. Room was good a bit small but perfect for what we needed. The constant loop of the tv and The Big Lebowski and all the other six channels was a bit annoying but I get the point of the theme we were only there for 3 nights so not too bad. Didn't have breakfast or food but the bar and courtyard was great. This isn't just a hotel people come to just hang out and have drink or a coffee which I liked.

Could've had at least some varied tv and a chair in the room. We were there in the summer and it was hot 35+ there's no air con just a small fan so the mornings were hot, but ok for a short stay.

Location and very quirky

No air conditioning but electric fans suppled. No headboards and no conventional beds as mattresses on platform. Comfortable enough.

Style is nice, food from the restaurant (not the bar) is great!, love the patio to have a coffee in the morning, and the hall

Some rooms heading the street are quite noisy

The atmosphere, design, music, attentive sugar, the most delicious breakfast!

The room was tiny and with bare minimum. However the bedding was good.

Have stayed here many times. The hotel as always is great.

The staff cafe and breakfast staff were slow and rude. Took me ages to get served at the cafe (its wasnt busy)

This is our third time at the michelberger hotel and won’t ever be able to stay anywhere else. We love the location is so central to where we want to explore and a bolt is never too far away if we need. The vibe of the michelberger is unmatched, just having a wine in the courtyard after our day is one of our favourite parts of it.

Pillows could be improved

Brunch was excellent. Small room, but OK. We adjusted our mind and functioned ok. I booked a long time ahead and asked for a silent room. Got one room into the noisy street. I asked for another and got a room into the backyard which was a lot more quiet, but a scenery towards the garbage. I find the concept of the hotel fascinating. Good service from the staff.

The hotel has a great courtyard and bar. I liked the location. It's close to shops, u Bahn and restaurants and site seeing (east side gallery). The hotel soap is great too.

The room I stayed in was smaller than expected and had no aircon! It would be nice to have some place to hang clothes up and a chair to relax in. The bathroom is also super tiny and the room I got was at the back next to a dumpster with machines going all day and early mornings - very unsightly view and no aircon means hot and noisy. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again.

Comfortable bed, convenient for public transport (U-bahn, S-bahn and trams).

TV channels streamed hotel's own content, but would often distort and pixelate. Bathroom lighting was poor.

The lobby area is great for working and people watching. The breakfast is amazing, and I highly recommend.

My partner complained that there was no conditioner. They also charge for parking, parking should be free. Felt we paid too much for a room without AC.

room was quite small and NO air conditioning during a very hot week. small room layout required me to stand on my bed and ledge in order to close the large window curtains. this felt kind of janky

Funky, great vibes, central location, tiny room but it adds to the uniqueness and charm. Lovely staff who were attentive and friendly, food was great, I will bookmark for the future

No cold water / fridge in the room

You're in a great location with tons to explore nearby—the East Side Gallery (old parts of the Berlin Wall), the river, cafes and restaurants in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in either direction. And the breakfast was SO GOOD! I was actually contemplating going back just to have breakfast during the rest of my time in Berlin. Everything is homemade and it was all excellent (I especially liked the homemade sourdough bread, dips, and spicy hot chocolate). The hotel also has a nice cafe and courtyard so there are plenty of spaces for hanging out.

The room itself was a little strangely set up. The bed was basically up on a platform in a corner so you had to climb up a large step and scoot across it in order to get into bed. And while I had a window, it overlooked massive piles of trash from the train station or mall, so it wasn't the most pleasant view.

It is a lovely hotel, great drinks and food, great courtyard

No aircon made it uncomfortable, it was a very hot weekend 30+ and there were just two fans in the room. As we were facing the street, opening the windows made the room very noisy. I don’t love aircon but it was needed that weekend. It meant we couldn’t relax properly in the room. A courtyard facing room is definitely preferable. The communal areas were also very warm. Great in winter but in summer not so much.

The ambience of the hotel was great. The bar area was lively and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were all very helpful.

To be honest at our age, having the bed on a mezzanine level accessed by a loft ladder was a little tough, though we could of course have not chosen a loft room.

I know it's not really their thing but I would love even a small gym with a few decent machines in. Given none of the local gyms offer day or week passes if you want to work out it's a pain. if they don't want to offer it then maybe do a deal with a local gym perhaps?

Room and beds were super stylish and comfortable, Dr Bronners toiletries, great location, fire pit, great bar area and martinis!

Nothing really, could have done with a kettle in the room, and proper TV channels
