I liked the attitude of the staff. Especially (the intern from netherlands), who was very welcoming and gave us a fantastic tour of the facilities. I had moderate rating for the hotel itself compared to the branches in london; as they had more amenities and unique items in the rooms there. Unfortunately, there were some insects in the toilet. The rooms isolation was also not good as i was hearing every noise on the streets and the hallways. I also LOVED that there was a water sprinkler in the toilet. But it was leaking when used. And i hoped to receive some discount as MO fan for staying in various other branches but it was not possible as it was booked through booking.

Location is great. Just across Casa Batllo, famous Gaudi building. We were upgraded for free and got one of the most amazing suites.

The service was exceptional, informed , proactive , engaged and very present without being overbearing.The amenities were excellent , with the food options being incredible with ambience , service and quality from the rooftop to the bar and the main dining being 5 star. The physical location and building were perfect.

I cannot critic any thing from arrival to departure as anything but 5 star.

The staff were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, professional and really seemed interested in making our experience, exceptional.

The property was very underwhelming. Very small lobby which didn’t convey the feeling of it being a luxe five star GL hotel.

We loved our short retreat in favor of my husbands birthday - staff was super attentive towards the occasion all the way, accommodated all our requests. Highly recommend for a special occasion! Spa is super quiet and nice, massage is superb and even room service is high class

The pool on the roof is not for swimming - it’s fine but somehow it is on several lists on the internet as one of the best rooftop pools. The hotel doesn’t advertise as such so it’s not their problem, just fyi

Location is great. Breakfast was fabulous.

They didn't have an iron or steamer to use in the room. You could only send items off to be pressed - at a charge. This was an issue as we were in a rush. Service in the bar was extremely slow for simple drinks such as two beers.

Breakfast was fantastic, huge variety of stuff on buffet plus menu of a la carte options such as crepes or avocado toast. All really fresh and tasty. The little details sometimes added the wow factor. The maid tidied our charger cables away with Mandarin Oriental cable tidies and left MO bookmark for us. Fresh fruit and chocolates laid out and even a bottle of cava to say happy birthday. Location is phenomenal, would recommend El Nationale nearby for a light bite and a drink when you arrive :)

The staff really goes out of their way to be helpful. Hotel is on a busy street but inside your hotel room is quiet and calm. Like an oasis after a busy day. I loved the shower, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. So many nice touches to make you feel special. Loved my stay there.

Very hot inside. Apparently saving costs by turning dowb air conditioning. Staff said they were not allowed to adjust it to colder temperatures (was +28c outside). Lobby bar is below a 5-star standard you would expect.

I did not like that I was fooled by the picture of the room mandarin that displays as a large room facing a garden ( also an option to get a boulevard view) but I got a tiny noise room that was unbearable to sleep . hotel itself extremely average , No interesting disighn or super service. was my first experience with mandarin and the last . don’t want to over pay for nothing .

I had an exceptional experience at this hotel, truly worth the money spent. Being quite particular about hotels, I was impressed by their exceptional service. They clean the rooms twice a day, and are generous with providing water. I appreciated their attention to detail, as they fulfilled all my requests perfectly. I believe it's important for a hotel to make their guests feel special, and this one excels at it. This is definitely a hotel I will be visiting again.
