Excellent location, food (while relatively expensive compared to local restaurants) was very good, the pool area was great! Really enjoyed the stay

Rooms had very few amenities such as hand soap and could be made more comfortable.

Excellent location for Bangkok - good value for money and walking distance to many tourist sites. The courtyard area with swimming pool is a lovely peaceful haven in the middle of the hot busy city. Good breakfast available at extra cost. Helpful staff who assist with booking of taxis and luggage storage.

Rooms at the front can be noisy. Shower has a habit of flooding room. Garden facing rooms are worth the extra cost.

I really liked this vibe. I had a great sleep and shower. The pool and courtyard look nice. Staff were friendly and breakfast and good coffee are available for a small fee.

Staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to help us. The ambience of the whole building and the poolside was incredibly relaxed, which is just what you need after a day in Bangkok.

We had a great stay at Villa Phra Sumen. It is very well located to explore the old part of Bangkok. With the local ferry you can easily go to the eastern part of the city too. The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We can highly recommend staying here

We love this hotel. Yes you can find cheaper but we had zero complaints. The pool is salt water, the room was really comfortable and pretty and clean. Blackout curtains to help sleep with jet lag. Location was great, not too noisy but close to things.

Lovely little hotel in a great location, not far from the river and other attractions. The pool area is lovely and a great little oasis of calm from the city. The staff were always helpful and friendly and the vibe is chilled and relaxing.

Beautiful place in the middle of the caos of Bangkok. When you get tired of the city (or the temperature) it's beautiful to have an oasis like Villa Bangkok. Nice swimming pool where you can rest, take a break and plan the next trip. Super nice and friendly staff, with bar and restaurant serving in the pool area. Very nice room. We both arrived and left with a cab and we used tuk tuk and walk a lot, so I cannot tell if it's easy with other transportation. Khao San and the ferry pier are 15 minutes away anyways. A lot of vegan places nearby. It was a beautiful stay and I will come back for sure!

Great location, Family Resturant nearby is good. Khaoson Rd 10 minutes walk and parallel road, Ram Buttri great for food. Breakfast is good. The pool is great for cooling down.

Friendly staff, excellent location and super quiet next to the canal. The hotel is like a little oasis despite being in a busy area around a 10min walk from Khao San. Rooms are comfy and clean.

It would be nice if breakfast was included, but they give you some discount coupons for the restaurant. The pool and garden are lovely, but lose the sun early afternoon.

We stayed at Villa Bangkok for 3 nights as a couple. The location, the river it overlooks, and the poolarea are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, we were very satisfied.

I would only suggest that for a more comfortable stay, there should be soap, face towels, and at least extra toilet paper in the rooms.

Loved having breakfast by the pool although additional it was very good. Felt like a little oasis away from the city vibe.

Really lovely place to stay. Great decor, rooms lovely, plenty of room. Loved the outdoor area, terrific for having a meal or just relaxing at the tables or the sun lounges. Lovely well kept pool. Loved the location, very clean, but genuine old Bangkok. Venture a little down the road the right, turn right and go over a bridge. There is a lovely small canal running behind. Staff are fabulous, very helpful all the time. Has a 24 hr desk. Highly recommend

Really lovely hotel, felt like a little oasis right in the middle of the city. Gorgeous room and an amazing pool. Staff were super friendly and helpful. If we come back to Bangkok we'll definitely stay here again.

Felt a bit pricey compared to the rest of Thailand but it was over Christmas and in Bangkok so not overly surprising.

The kindness of the staff, their flexibility regarding our bicycles, the swimming pool and terrace is such a nice place to rest and the rooms are very comfortable and beautiful.

The doors are heavy and make a lot of noise when closing and the soundproofing could be better.

Nice oase in the centre of Bangkok. Ideal pool to cool down from the city heat. Clean and charming, small size hotel in big city, also nice for families.

Although it is a quiet location, there is still night noise from other rooms and airco on the outside wall.

Loved our stay here and would definitely repeat if we come to Bangkok again. Great location and the pool area is a nice way to recharge after being out sightseeing in the heat. Hotel had a cafe and cold beer for purchase which was a welcome convenience when we arrived after our long trip from Europe. Don’t miss the awesome and cheap food vendors located on the same street right in between the hotel and 7-eleven, including the street cart vendors that show up late at night. Mini frig was nice to keep cold beer and snacks on standby. Air conditioning was excellent, great water pressure in shower with plenty of hot water. Spacious closet. Nice balcony with view of courtyard and pool (but it was too hot to sit there for long)

Towels are a bit rough and the bed was extremely firm but these didn’t detract from our experience. Like most hotels, the soundproofing is minimal so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Bathroom had very dim lighting and no hooks to hang anything, but we managed.
