The location is not ideal as a tourist, but it wasn't a problem for us

The hotel has a well-deserved reputation as a higher end accommodation in Bangkok. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always available. The room was comfortable and quiet, facing the inner courtyard. The full-size pool was among the better hotel pools I have seen and perfect for a morning swim - or afternoon lounge with food and drinks. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary in quality and variety of the offerings, local, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Western... a single visit is not enough to even sample all. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants, Lumphini Park and the subway system.

The sweetest people, luxury all over the resort, they pamper you. It’s calm the food is great. I have nothing bad to say about this place!

Beautiful elegant 5 star hotel. Room was stunning. Bed super luxury comfort. Pool, spa and gardens all fabulous. Absolutely amazing breakfast choices all presented beautifully…..the best I have ever seen.

Breakfast was wonderful. The decor in the hotel is stunning. Staff were wonderful and welcoming. The bath is fantastic so huge.

Would like to see a sign put on the door in the dining areas for guests to not talk on their phones in these areas. A European man was conducting a business deal for 45mins so loudly. Awful. No staff member asked him to go outside. A ban on the use of drones in the garden. A young woman used a drone for 30 mins for a photo session with herself and ruined the quiet at 7am Would like to see a more interesting menu at Celadon. I live in Thailand and I was very disappointed. Caters only to foreigners. I had to send the Som Tam back as there was no chillies and little nam pla used. Despite asking for the dish to be made to the level of Thai spicy.

The overall feel of it is great, a relaxed hotel in a busy city. We were upgraded to a bigger room, which was much appreciated. Lovely and attentive staff. Probably the best hotel gym I have been to, yet almost empty when I was there. A great bar as well, and breakfast honestly had everything you could think of eating in the morning. The room was incredibly quiet. We also tried their restaurant for dinner and it was amazing. If we ever get to go back to Bangkok, we will most certainly first look into this hotel.

We loved our stay at Sukhothai! It was an ending of our holiday in Thailand, booked 4 nights at Club King room and everything was perfect. The room was spacious, so was the bathroom. During hot afternoons, you want to spend your time by the swimming pool. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Definitely will book again!

The rooms are very comfortably appointed. The breakfast buffet is our favourite hotel breakfast buffet in the world with a fantastic selection of local and international breakfast options.

So peaceful, immediately relaxing, and incredibly helpful and kind staff. Location is great, it really is right in the middle of the city, walking distance if you’re up for it, and just a few stops by subway. But even being so close, and the banyan is literally a block down, it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet. There’s no way you won’t get rest here. And the staff is so friendly! My husband and i came for an anniversary and he loved the garden. I loved the spa (ali is great by the way if you want a massage). Everything was more than i expected. We came during the Christmas holiday and they even gave all the guests little Christmas stockings with small gifts inside. A great holiday touch! The only thing was i didn’t realize my deposit wasn’t already paid (dumb i know), and so i wasn’t prepared for that. Otherwise, it was everything and more than i expected. Will love to come again. Room was very spacious for two adults, the bathtub is huge, and plenty of amenities. Love love love the sukhothai.

The style of sukothai is unique - classic, elegant, perfect. Our room 149 was probably the most comfortable & perfect room we ever stayed in. High ceiling, large spaces, great lighting . The bed & pillows & sheets were heaven. Retractable and swingable large TV. The bathroom was simply personal luxury. 2 balconies overlooking the lotus pond. The breakfast is very opulent and caters for all tastes - lovely setting and music too. Very attentive service and great conscierge Mr Som. We will be back!

This is truly an exceptional hotel. The staff were superlative and already ready to help. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was so varied, one of the best we have seen. The pool was lovely and warm and large. We enjoyed everything about our stay here. It is an oasis in the heart of Bangkok.

There did not seem to be a great variety of lower priced food options in the close vicinity so would potentially need a taxi into town for this.

Thought La Scala wasn’t as good as it’s been in the past. A French chef overseeing an Italian restaurant although the bread was good. Didn’t like the club lounge, cold and soulless and nibbles could have been better.

The room was lovely with an extremely comfortable bed. The view was also wonderful looking at the main courtyard of water lillies.

More outdoor seating area to sit in the evening.

The atmosphere and the staff were great with a superb room and excellent food. It was exceptional value. We valued the relative quiet of the location in the centre of this busy city.
