The Yard Hostel, Bangkok

Really nice property. Lovely staff plus a nice breakfast. They let me keep my bags there for free, it’s a space to hang out without any pressure.

This hostel has a very good common area in the garden which is beautiful and great to socialise. The staff was very caring and kind. The showers had warm water and good water pressure. The free breakfast was very nice. It’s also convenient that you can refill your water bottle for free. I really appreciate the commitments to sustainability- they’re definitely a front runner with that in Thailand!

The 4 bed dorm felt quite claustrophobic. At only 8 square meters there was no space to unpack bags. The locker was also really small and unstable. I’d suggest to copy the locker concept they have at The Yard Hostel in Chiang Mai. There were many mosquitoes around the garden and in the dorm.

a great hostel to stay - especially when solo traveling! Very social atmosphere with good energy. They have yoga classes, breakfast included and comfy beds. The privates were cute and cozy.

Staff was incredibly kind! My bag didn’t arrive and I had to wait 1.5 days, and when communicating my needs to find a pair of sandals, one of the receptionists literally gave me a pair of her sandals to wear. So nice! I booked the private room with private bathroom and everything was clean and as expected. Facilities are nice with an interesting shipping container set up. Common area was nice as well and free drinking water.

It’s fairly easy to get a Grab or hop on the metro, but I did wish it was a bit more central for such a short stay.

Nice quiet, safe neighbour. Very sustainable and rustic. Helpful staff, plenty of amenities in the nearby location. Loved the room layout and big windows, the air conditioning was great. Lovely fresh breakfast consisting of fruits, yoghurt and bread with butter/jam every morning

What a wonderful property this is. In 2 years of travel now, this was surely my most social and friendly stay. It's more than just the staff and the property, but it's a culture of welcoming and a facility that encourages shared experience that makes it so enjoyable. This may just be the only place I'll stay whenever I pass through Bangkok now.

The whole staff is just so nice and friendly, love them all ❤️. Beds are really great and confy. Outlets and light are just on a hand distance. Showers and toilets are great, spacious and clean.

I had a really lovely stay here. The location is great and very convenient, with easy access to many places. The rooms were spotless and well organised. There were plenty of facilities, including a cosy common room and a beautiful garden area to relax in. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the sense of community there – it had such a nice atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been to Thailand many times but this was my first time staying at The Yard and I can’t believe I didn’t stay here before. They’re just doing everything right here!! It’s a chill, social and clean hostel and the staff are absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back here my next time in Bangkok!!!

One of my favourite hostels I've ever stayed in! The breakfast is yum, staff are all super friendly and the area is nice and relaxed and the perfect break from the bustle of Bangkok. It's got a great social atmosphere while not being a party hostel. I'll definitely stay again when I'm next in Bangkok

People changed the air con in the rooms too much and we cooked one night. No fault of the hostel here though

This place is like an oasis in the middle of a bustling city! We loved the chilled out vibe and common areas. The trees gave gave shade and made it cooler. The hostel is very focused on sustainability which is awesome, always free water refill stations available. Breakfast was good and the room/bed was very comfy! Friendly service and a friendly hostel cat.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in, in Bangkok. Location very close to metro station and a cool area around it to get food, drinks and hang out. The hostel itself was top notch. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, great rooms, lovely breakfast and staff at hand to handle any questions you have.

Very pleasant hostel and vibe. Having a lush garden to relax from bustling Bangkok is fantastic! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a Double Room with private bathroom, which was almost like staying in a hotel (vs Hostel).

All good! Our room had pretty steep stairs to the bed area. You need to be a bit sporty and full awake to get up and down.

Really nice social space and breakfast. Staff were all lovely. Location was good but a bit far from key stops.

Lovely social but not party hostel. The beautiful relaxed garden makes it really easy to meet people. Breakfast is good - fresh fruit, yoghurt and bread. I found the bed comfortable and shower was great. The neighbourhood is really cute and lots of nice food/drink/shopping places nearby. BTS also nearby if you want to travel by metro. I would 100% recommend and look forward to returning!

Location is great, the vibe is fantastic, it is super clean, the shared showers/bathrooms were excellent and worked smoothly. Reception is super helpful, and again the atmosphere is just wonderful.

The yard’s atmosphere is great! Lots of opportunities to socialize but also to be on your own if you prefer. The staff is great and the hostel is nice and clean. I really enjoyed my time here and would stay here again!

This is minor but the curtain right next to my window (upper bunk) did not close completely so I had a light from the patio outside peaking into my bed all night. I was still able to get some good sleep though!

Very calm and peaceful environment, friendly staff and guests alike. Excellent location to sites, food and travel. Loved it so much was hoping to book again in Chiang Mai but understandable fully booked ☹️

Lovely place to meet like minded people and a couple of free activities also (yoga). Lots of space to socialise and the free breakfast & coffee was also good. Great stay & it made my stay in Bangkok so much fun with the people I met.

The dorm rooms are really small.

The staff is very social and helpful, is help is needed. It was very easy to socialise during my stay.

Such a beautiful experience at the yard. The concept is so wonderful, the facilities are exquisite. The bunks are huge, bathrooms are clean and the whole environment is fun and social. Super easy to make friends with other travellers and they offer free events during the week (yoga, move nights).

Beds are a bit hard but this is to be expected in Asia. The location is a little far from the main attractions but close to BTS station so just plan accordingly.

We had a great stay at The Yard Bangkok! It is located in a nice, quieter area of Bangkok which provided great respite after busy days exploring the city. The facilities and breakfasts were fab. Would recommend!

Can’t recommend enough! Located in perhaps one of the coolest and nicest neighbourhoods in Bangkok away from the massive tourist crowds, the Yard is a great base for exploring Bangkok. You have the skytrain just around the corner and plenty of good restaurants, cool cafes and trendy bars. Staff were friendly and the free breakfast good. I had a private room to cater to my jet lag and had a very good night sleep.

This is such an incredible place. Not party, but easy to meet people and hang out with fellow travelers.

I loved my stay here !!! I wanted somewhere I could chill, get some work done, didn’t have a touristy khao San type neighbourhood but still could meet people and have a bit of a social vibe in the evening, and that’s exactly what was delivered :-) the facilities were also super nice, I was very comfortable there. It was so chill and beautiful in the day. You can do your own laundry for 100 baht!! They even have an Xbox for us, and a little bar, and the neighbourhood is so nice. I really enjoyed it and made a lot of friends which I appreciated as a solo traveller starting their trip. I will definitely stay here again and try the chiang mai one too if I can!

Exceptional place with amazing open space to hang out in. The location is good near bars, restaurants and BTS station. The room was good and bathrooms / showers were separate.

The Yard is an excellent option if you are looking for something quieter and away from the main tourist area. It might take you a while to reach the main Bangkok attractions due to the distance and traffic. But the Ari neighbourhood is very lovely. Lots of food options and cute coffee shops. The hostel's common area is beautiful and a good space to make new friends. This is not a party hostel, which I appreciated. I booked a private room; it was very comfortable and clean. In general, this hostel is great. I will come back for sure!

Nice breakfast and the outside seatings! A very cozy atmosphere in the middle of bustling Bangkok. It helped that they have laundry machine for wash and dry with detergent. And there is a cafe and bar within the same site and also nearby so very convenient.

The bunk bed was good to sleep in, but the top was a bit hard to climb. And my room right in front of the bathrooms wasn't that spacious. Also someone in the room turned the AC down to 16 degrees during the night and was so cold in the morning. For health & environmental aspects, maybe the accommodation can put a note on the temperature setting. (because this place cares a lot about sustainability)
