Sagamore Pendry, Baltimore

Turns out there is no free WIFI -- look for the hidden 35 USD /day fee -- that when I asked why covers WIFI, the free drink on check in and the bikes and offer of a car service (the latter 2 were never offered as a perk)... LOOK AT THE HIDDEN COSTS.. for a VERY expensive hotel in a great part of Baltimore I found all the hidden fees to be crazy and NOT LUXURY

It’s a very nice building and the facility is new.

The prices are too high relative to the level of service and amenities. They give you a cheap wine glass. There are paper cups for coffee. There is no cork screw. When told the smoke alarm was flashing all night and disturbing our sleep the front did not make a note or follow up with us.

The hotel is beautiful, rooms are well fitted out and facilities are lovely

The staff were rude, check in was terrible, bar staff were rude, check out was also unpleasant. The staff need to be trained to the same level as other Pendry hotels where they are wonderful

Staff was very friendly. Great location.

Very noisy at night. No curfew in the courtyard with very loud people right outside our room. Also the hotel had either construction or power washing done in the courtyard starting at 3AM-7AM making it very difficult to sleep. Not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. For how much we paid to stay there was very dissapointing.

Bell staff and check in staff and maids were wonderful

The restaurant was highly disappointing. For that type of restaurant the food service and wait staff were sub par. For a $300 dinner we had the wait staff salt our salad instead of adding pepper making it not edible. Our steak came out cold. The restaurant was basically empty so I’m not sure why the service was subpar. Additionally the whiskey room bar tender was obnoxious and was off putting.

There was a server that brought my card back in front of 10 of my guests and said “sir your card was declined, you’ll need to use another card” places the bill back on the table and walks away. Since the bill was $1500 it triggered fraud on my Business card. I spoke with Amber the manager on duty. This was so unacceptable and rude no one could believe it. I did not give the hotel a poor rating because of this one individual. However, this left a stain on my experience.

The property is beautiful. Rooms are clean and are exceptionally decorated. It’s close to many attractions in Baltimore. Staff is very attentive.

One of the main reasons we went to the Pendry was the outdoor pool. Although the location is lovely the pool water looked cloudy and murky and not very inviting to swim. It was disappointing giving how warm it was outside. We ended up just having lunch and leaving. Given the price we will probably choose the Four Season next time for their outdoor pool.

The property is beautiful! The pool is amazing. The black out curtains made the room so dark and great to sleep in.

The service was atrocious. There was just a series is over promising and under delivering. The room was not clean. Someone had an accident in the bathroom by the pool. There was literal poop all I’ve the toilet and floor. I brought it to someone’s attention and an hour later, the stall was horrific and no one made the time to even block off the stall. I called the manager and basically they said “you booked third party” and my rebuttal was “booking third party is not a reason to not provide customer service” they took 100 dollars off our dining/bar tab but it does not feel like enough for the price of the room. I sent the property several emails, but no response was provided.

There were food/drinks (room service?) across from ours and it was there over a day. It was pretty yucky to see that as we came and went and it made us feel like it wasn't a top notch facility. Also, we had an iron and ironing board in our closet (we checked because we needed it), but when we came back from our afternoon at the pool (and after we had turn-down service), both were gone. Very strange and challenging because we needed to use them. I was also surprised the pull-out bed not only had no bedding ON it, but there was NO bedding for the pull-out bed in our suite AT ALL. This is highly unusual at a premier hotel. Often the pull-out bed is made and ready to be used. It wasn't until 11:30PM we realized this. We called the front desk and took a looooong time for them to be delivered. If bedding isn't going to be kept in the room, why don't you have someone at check in ask if you will need it? I would have said yes and saved everyone the hassle.

Our room 320 remote Shade in bedroom will not roll down the first night waking us up with bright sunlight at 6am.... went to front desk is get fixed it then would only go up 1/2 way taking away the daytime view. It also had a hole in it so the sun still found its way in a bit in the morning. Rug next to bed would not allow closet door to open. area rug in entertaining space was very dirty... Lobby windows were surprising dirty. We did not have any turned down service the 2nd night... there were no privacy tags in room for door..

It is a beautiful hotel. The room and from what I saw the rest of the hotel was super clean and well maintained. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere. Edison lights, and décor to match. The bathroom in the suite was exceptional, beautiful large tub, two person shower, double sink and separate toilet. Toilet paper was okay, much better than traditional 1 ply hotel tp. The balcony was nice and roomy and the harbor view was great. Was a little cold so didn't get to enjoy it. The service from start to finish was exceptional, the front desk was great, the valet station was great and all went above and beyond.

The bed was a little stiff, I enjoy a hard bed, my wife was unhappy with it. We got in late, past 10pm, and the room service was very impersonal, didn't know our room, the choices were extremely limited and the food was mediocre. Old bay seasoning chips was literally the only side option. It was at least fast. The room size for the money was a little small. The parking was a little tough and confusing... again we got in late. Our only option was to valet, $50 a night.

the property is gorgeous and meticulously maintained! the location is near lots of restaurants and things to do.

The Sagamore is in Fells Point, near many good restaurants and bars.

the hotel is very much overpriced for the room size and what they offer. we spent more than $800 for a harbor view room for one night. it was noisy and the bed was not comfortable. They offer many items in the room for a charge, such as a $7 bottle of Fuji water.

Beautiful and unique architecture. Right on the water. High end and modern finishes in rooms.

Valet parking is $50 a night. It's a steep price, but seems worth it.

we’re looking to watch football in the bar area and get some food. ideally; we would of loved to have table service. the restaurant at that time wasn’t busy. we didn’t understand why that would be hard to accommodate. bar itself wasn’t busy either and bartender had us come to the bar

I think 2200 for the room was extremely over priced for a 3 night stay. The room was nothing special, it was a regular room with a king sized bed. small balcony and the view was of the local stores and partial harbor

Location was great. Right in Fells Point across from a ton of restaurants. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. In room toiletries were a nice touch. Pool overlooking the harbor was beautiful. Hotel lobby and courtyard were very unique - well decorated and had a number of seating areas.

Air conditioning in the room was broken. Would not cool and room got increasingly hotter over our stay, getting up to 76. Hotel restaurant and room service were extremely expensive for extremely mediocre food. Pricing was far more than posted prices on the menus online. Ate at Rec pier chophouse where the menu was very limited. Apps were good (Caesar salad, ricotta and Brussels). Entrees (rock fish, crab pasta and ribeye) were something you could find at an outback for far less money. Steak was very over cooked. Pasta had limited flavor beyond garlic which overpowered the crab meat. Rock fish portion was small. Prices for all entrees were at least $10 more than the menu on the website. Service was good, decor was really unique but not enough to overlook the poor and expensive meal ($410 incl. tip for 4 people). Made the mistake of ordering room service the next morning. Delivery was prompt but the crab cakes tasted really fishy and the coffee came without any sweetener. Again a pricing difference between posted menu - $125 for 2 crab cakes Benedict and 2 coffees. All in all I expected better amenities for a hotel this expensive ($950/night). Have stayed at another Montage property in Park City and the level of service and amenity are vastly different than here. Very hard to get to the outside areas. Only 1 elevator. No way to access the pier around the building that we found. Pool water looked very cloudy.

Only had the pool bars food with was ok. Fish tacos made me sick. Eat breakfast and dinner at nearby restaurants. Staff were very friendly.

From our arrival and the valet parking being so helpful although i chose to find my own parking, to the front desk agents and waiters at the pool serving us with such a smile on their face. Food was amazing. Atmosphere is second to none. Will definitely return for another stay.

The customer service level was above and beyond. Everyone really cared if you were happy. The pool is fabulous. The rooms were great. A total pleasure of a hotel!

The Starbucks is 2.5 blocks away - wish it were in the lobby! They didn’t have taxis (apparently due to the cobblestones?) and the Ubers took long to arrive.

a brand new pair of ray bans were missing from my car after valet parking. I emailed there hotel with no response....very unethical...

The property was immaculate and the staff were exceptional! Our room was beautiful, the beds were so comfortable and we had a gorgeous view of the water. We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room per our request. One of the most convenient accommodations was the car service.

For the price, a heated pool, hot tub or spa service on premise would have been nice. We did not have access to the pool, as it was "out of season" in mid-April. While we enjoyed the breakfast at the Sagamore, our dinner was disappointing in comparison to the rest of our experience.

The location of the hotel was perfect - I've visited Baltimore a number of times and most of where I frequent is within walking distance of the Sagamore Pendry. The room was beautifully curated, the specific location of the room was on the 1st floor but those rooms are behind a set of doors that required a key which added an additional level of security which was much appreciated. I will say my favorite part had to be the heated floors in the bathroom.

My friend and I stayed in a Terrace Courtyard room and while I expected noise from the courtyard, I wasn't expecting how loudly and clearly you could hear people in the hotel hallway at all hours of the night. Also, one our bathroom towels was torn and fraying but since we were only there for one evening, there wasn't a need for a big fuss. Not sure if there's a way to quality control that since I know hotels sometimes outsource laundry but just something to note moving forward!
