Heating control was broken (couldn't turn it down , it was faaaar tooooo hoooooot), so had to swap room during the night

Both the pod I stayed in and the shared areas were very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location right at the edge of Oosterpark is perfect — centrally located, but still safe and peaceful.

It got very hot in my pod at night, even with the air vents fully opened. I also feel like the fees for towels and luggage storage were a bit exorbitant.

It is alright, the location was good and it seemed to have good shared amenities. Got a room with for me and my friends with 4 beds on two bunkbeds.

If you are over 6 foot you will not be able to lie down normally in the bunk beds without hitting your head on the front of the bed or your feet at the end of the bed. Only 1 dryer was working when we were there.

It’s a really cool property with lots in it.

The mattress in the pod was quite thin and you could feel the floor. No notice that one should bring lock to use luggage lockers

Beds are a touch short. I'm 6'2" and could have done with 2 more inches bed length.

The location was perfect in the middle of a park and close to a couple of stations. The place also felt lively and very clean

The room was very very small. I booked a bed in the 6 person female room and i was very lucky not to get the bed third on top (The bunkbed was three levels). It was quite crammed and i didn’t find enough space to move or put my stuff

Space is really limited. Especially when the room is fully occupied there isn’t enough space for everyone’s luggage.

Facilities, cleanliness, chill vibes, located in lovely Oosterpark, close to markets, Cafes, transportation.

Lack of sufficient door hangers, inside the room and bathroom, not so intelligible room temperature and fan controller.

Great location. A tram line very near and if you are more active, walkable distance to family friendly activities like the Nemo Science Museum. The hostel also has a great value bike hire, with bikes for adults and kids. It is a vibrant young place, with cool decor, that my tweenage kids liked. The park is a beautiful setting and the kids enjoyed the space to run about and be weird tweens!

As Amsterdam is a party city, there were inevitably groups of men (from uk mostly) that were in full party drinking mode! We were staying over a weekend, so to be expected. Thankfully our room was nice a quiet and were getting early nights anyway. There was an event on the Saturday that took over the venue. This meant that there was no evening meal available on the menu. We were all banking on dinner at the hostel, so had to settle for bar snacks. Not the best moment for hangry kids. Would have been useful to have had a heads up…

Room size

The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There's toilet and shower inside my room. The hostel is located inside a park which is nice and quite.

There is a bar inside the hostel which was opened during my stay on weekend. The bar was playing loud music that you could even feel the ground was vibrating outside the bar. Also they have 3 level bunk beds there, there's not much room on the first and second level of the bed. I couldn't even sitting up straighten my back when I was in my bed.

Friendly people and staff

The hostel should provide some basic toiletries such as body wash and atleast a mat in the shower stalls since the shower stall door wasn't leakproof and the floor would get very wet.

Overall a nice place, really outgoing vibe.

Reserved a pod, and the mattress was so thin I could feel the hard floor. Also you have to pay for luggage storage so keep that in mind.

Great to have our own space within the hostel, great views and good space for 5 of us to share. Great views across the park.

The glasses were very tiny, no cafetiere to make our own coffee, no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels and no recycling facilities.

The venue was stunning and full of things to do. Good location and attached to a beautiful park to walk around at night. Coffee was lovely from the cafe in the motnng

The room had a balcony but we weren't able to have the key. We were also expecting a kettle in the room it didn't have one, we asked for one but we're also told no. The room also didn't have a tv which would have been good to drown out the noise of the doors closing loudly throughout the night.

Everything was generally great. The room was very clean and everything was new. The lobby has a cool bar and other amenities.

The breakfast is good price for money and the buffet is reasonable for the price. The only really bad thing are the eggs, are they have a really strange taste. The water pressure in the room shower was low

So basic, on the room the beds weren’t done… it’s part of the model, they give you sheets and you have to make the bed. No towels, you have to pay for these. The breakfast is good priced but not very good quality. The room was too tiny (quadruple), despite de beds were comfortable.

We requested a quiet room as we were here to run the marathon, and this was given to- thank you! We had peace and quiet and comfy beds. Can’t complain!!

The lack of any cooking facilities at all was a real let down. We had to bring our own kettle as they don’t even supply this or a microwave!!

The property is in a good location. Easy access with tram and bus.

The wash basin is not get draining quickly.And for sure , charging for a towel is really annoying.

The area and park was really nice. I liked the beds even though they were a bit hard to climb up and down. There was a lot of places to be/things to do at the hostel which was nice. The people who worked there were accommodating and did a good job even under stress like when there were a lot of people checking in at the same time.

The rooms didn’t feel that clean, specifically the bathroom and shower, obviously some things are because of guests (pee on the floor/toilet seat/hairs in the shower and sink), which they can’t control, but I would’ve liked a bit more thoroughness.

I liked all the areas they had around

The location of the hostel is one of it's mains strengths. The tram will take you to all parts of amsterdam in a matter of 10-30 minutes and is right in between the major city attractions. The hotel itself is inside Oosterpark, which gives it a very peaceful energy, with low profile mornings and evenings, while also providing a place to work out. The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful, from check-in to check-out, every question I had was answered immediately and very politely. The staff at the hotels caffe/restaurant were awesome as well and the food and drinks were great, especially the coffee. I stayed in a 4 bed deluxe room, which meant I had 3 roommates at all times, which were changing during my stay, but that didn't cause any noticeable issues (even though we had some really big snorers). All in all the value is there and was super happy about my stay!

The rooms could've been cleaned a bit more thoroughly during my stay, as with changing roommates they didn't really clean the entire room, so I had to do some cleaning from time to time.

I appreciated the quieter, off-the-beaten-path location of the hotel, while still being close to tram stops and some coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly, it was easy to check in and out, and the room/bed itself was very clean and comfortable!

This would be true of any hostel, but there is *no* noise-proofing. I could hear the rooms on either side as well as the room above at all hours. But I was so tired I slept through most of it!

Downstairs bar was not open to us any of thurs, fri, sat nights.

The location was great, close to the city center (30 minutes by foot).

Neighbors, unfortunately. A group of pupils arrived at the hostel and ran all the time after 11 p.m. Also, the shower was quite dirty and had mold on it. The room has poor sound isolation, so we could hear when neighbors arrived to their room.

Liked how the beds were arranged, some staff were very friendly others not soo much, surroundings were quiet and peaceful but a little far away from the city though nonetheless it was okay , good for family and friends.

Upper bed is terrifying. I could only throw everything on it and had another battle to carry them down. I wish the height of the upper bed was listed on the booking page, or at least there would be a warning that the minimum height to select an upper bed is 180cm. And no curtain for the upper bed. Very slow check-in (how could you have no available bed at 2pm if the checkout time is 10am) Pricy locker room. No microwave.
