Fantastic views of the park and parakeets. Easy tram access. Cool building.

Downstairs bar was not open to us any of thurs, fri, sat nights.

The location was great, close to the city center (30 minutes by foot).

Neighbors, unfortunately. A group of pupils arrived at the hostel and ran all the time after 11 p.m. Also, the shower was quite dirty and had mold on it. The room has poor sound isolation, so we could hear when neighbors arrived to their room.

Rooms are very clean and there are locked case and clean sheets restaurant is ok

Liked how the beds were arranged, some staff were very friendly others not soo much, surroundings were quiet and peaceful but a little far away from the city though nonetheless it was okay , good for family and friends.

Upper bed is terrifying. I could only throw everything on it and had another battle to carry them down. I wish the height of the upper bed was listed on the booking page, or at least there would be a warning that the minimum height to select an upper bed is 180cm. And no curtain for the upper bed. Very slow check-in (how could you have no available bed at 2pm if the checkout time is 10am) Pricy locker room. No microwave.

Overall very positive vibes. Comfortable, quiet and clean with great location. Many many characters of this place makes it a way better hostels I've ever stayed before.

bunk bed were too many in a small room I stayed 112@6 and bunk size could be slightly bigger.

Every door had locks on, even on stairs and hallway, not allowing anyone but the people on that floor to enter

Clean and tidy. Artistic and cool style of hotel. Nice drinks at the bar! Room was simple but had all we needed for a short stay. Location was near a tram stop and was quiet and peaceful just outside the centre. Near a lovely zoo.

Towels and bathmat didn’t dry well in bathroom. We felt it was quite pricey for what it was, but it was cheaper than most places around Amsterdam.

- The room design was quite good. The toilet is in a separate space, and there's another area where you can shower and get dressed comfortably. - Even though the bunk beds are three-tiered, they're very sturdy - they don’t make noise when people move, which is a big plus in a shared room.

- This might seem small, but I think it's important: the luggage drawers are poorly positioned. Ideally, the drawer for the bottom bunk should be in the middle, and the others should be under their own ladders - that way, no one blocks someone else's path. - It's not in the city center, but it's easily accessible, so it's okay. - The park it's located in is beautiful, but while walking alone I encountered some people (probably drunk) who made comments. I felt a little uneasy. These things can happen on the streets, but in a more isolated spot, it can be uncomfortable.

The location of the hostel is in the middle of a park, so it's very quiet. It used to be the old university of Amsterdam therefore it is very spacious to mingle with other people. The building looks very well maintained in its old fashioned.

Clean and beds are comfortable, with good location and price. Separate dorms for women, felt safe.

Facilities in the dorms: The sink is in the room and a minimal space in the shower, so you wake everybody up if you need to wash your hands or air dry your hair.

Everything was wonderful – the staff were very friendly, the place was clean, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s only a 30-minute walk to the city center, which was super convenient. For this price, the quality is really impressive!

The only downside was the neighbors upstairs. They kept jumping off their bunk bed and dropping things (I think it was a phone) all night long. It was really noisy and made it hard to sleep. Overall, apart from this, my stay was excellent!

There should be men and women's floor with a communal room for dressing, styling hair, organizing..etc. There's no privacy in the room and people are sleeping so it was uncomfortable to make noise. Also for the money a towel should have been included with a fresh one offered as needed. For 8 euros, the eggs should be real eggs. Washer and dryer system is awful. I should just able to tap the machine. The app didn't work and after I paid it said the machine was already reserved. 8 euros is to much anyway. Pay to store my luggage after I'm already paying to a higher rate for my room? Then pay for towel. Felt like I was nickle and dimes for everything

The rooms and bathroom were clean, the windows had curtains, and it was quiet and dark.

The beds were three-tiered, and the railings were uncomfortable, making it difficult to climb up. The beds were metal, cold, and if someone tripped on them, they resonated throughout the all bed. The breakfast selection was limited. The tomatoes tasted like plastic. The juice poor quality

Great value for location. Close walking distance to Artis zoo and Nemo science museum and Ship museum.

The 3 level beds. I could not sit straight on by bed because of hitting my head on the 2nd level bed. Towels and shampoo for extra money. Shower cabinet door not well designed so there was water on the floor all the time.

The hotel is very good and it has a nice atmosphere. Different areas were available to sit, relax and play games.

I booked the pod and overall, it was a very nice experience. However, the sound insulation between the upper and lower pods could be improved, as I could hear each movement from the person above. Other than that, everything was very good.

Good location and good amenities in the hostel

The outlets and lights of the bed did not work. We also rented bikes and one of the bike key was bent when given to us, it then broke during use during our rental, and we were charged to replace the key.

Very close to centre of Amsterdam by tram or a 30 minute walk. Clean, nice facilities. Safe and pleasant.

Just really expensive for what you get. It seems all hostels in Europe are now these days though...

The park which is directly next to the hostel is really nice. A lot of different types of birds you can see and activities you can do. The beds are comfortable and you have a lot of privacy.

There is no kitchen area so you have to either go out to eat all the time or eat simple food. I wish there would have been at least a microwave and a watercooker. This would make longer stays more comfortable.

An excellent hostel, would highly recommend. Website description is accurate. The hostel located in a park was superb especially for those who are bird lovers

The mattresses!

Affordable, convenient, clean.

We were a group of 6 on a city trip. We had a dormitory for ourselves. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The price was very reasonable for the quality.

Clean, excellent location.

Lockers inside room are with metal parts which sound disgusting when opened. Had neighbour who woke up at 7 am, and it was impossible to sleep.

I loved it because it’s very family orientated. The park where it’s located is lovely; ducks, geese, and all manner of wildlife. Don’t go there after sundown by the way. It is Amsterdam after all. The breakfast buffet was also reasonably priced and everything you would expect. The staff were really helpful and kind.

The bloody front door. It’s very heavy and is on a return mechanism. The noise it made, well I thought someone had been shot in the park. Peak hours, every 30 seconds bang bang bang.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Facilities were alright - had a nice bar and restaurant.

Cost of luggage storage is disgraceful - was 12.50 euros to store in large container which is the highest cost I’ve ever seen in a hostel and is honestly a money grab from the hostel. The location isn’t great and the hostel doesn’t have a kitchen. Overall for what you pay I don’t think it’s worth it as there are so many extra costs. Not a very social hostel.
