Our stay at the Ambassade was wonderful. The room was perfect, good size and nice view of the canal. The breakfasts were tasty with a nice variety included in the buffet. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to all of the sites we planned to see.

The breakfast was delicious. We liked the choices in the buffet and also the option to get eggs, bacon, etc. ala carte. We ordered room service one night for dinner, everything was delightful and we appreciated being able to relax and not go out to another restaurant. Bed very comfortable Shower nice size, extra towels available on request. Appreciated the 2 comfortable chairs in our room even though it was a tight fit! Front Desk fabulous - especially with printing out our boarding passes and some information we needed for Customs.

We did try tea and hot chocolate in the Library and felt it was incredibly overpriced Lots of tiny steps - The thing we liked the least is to go to bathroom at night one had to go up 2 steps and every time the steps would light up and stay on for longer than we would have wanted. It was good safety wise, though we'd have been okay without it or a simpler night light within the bathroom

Breakfast was excellent and the staff made it all the more so. Similarly the bar and the barkeeper in the evening made it a pleasure to come back to the hotel. The library was an exceptionally cosy and inspiring retreat after a day out about the town. Front desk staff generally very helpful.

The heating and cooling system in the room was somewhat finicky. Opening a window not really an option as the area has a lot of party goers with am impressive stamina...

It’s pricey to stay in a nice location in Amsterdam, but this is a terrific hotel. Comfortable rooms. Nice restaurants and bar. Nice views. Easy access to everything.

Beautiful canal views, really tasty and healthy breakfast overlooking the canals, the room layout and the art gallery around the hotel. The library bar was nicely done as well. One exceptional attention to detail was the availability of stamps and postal from the front desk

Space around the bed and furniture was a bit tight.

The staff are incredibly warm and attentive and it always feels like I’m arriving back home.

Good breakfast included. Also had great lunches on site. Very interesting split level room in an old canal house with a view of the canal Wonderful location; and very accommodating staff.

Due to the fact the hotel was created by joining together six canal houses, the stairs within the hotel and specifically within our room were spiral and step. The price of an authentic canal house accomodation experience; but somewhat awkward for older guests to navigate.

Staff was great. Beautiful neighborhood. Very eclectic hotel in the heart of Amsterdam.

No gym on the property. For price/night breakfast should be included.

Beautiful and clean in the best neighborhood overlooking a canal

Amazing canal views and location can't be beat. Easy walks to all the main sites or grab a tram to get further afield. Bit of a maze to get to the room but well worth all the little steps. The two story Grand Suite is simply lovely (even tho the staircase can be a little tricky). King bed is the largest I've ever seen in a hotel! Library bar is charming and the drinks were yummy.

No views from the Grand Suite bedroom. Bedroom felt a little like a cavern because unable to open shades; windows from other rooms are right there! Warm day heated the rooftop room so it took a while to cool down. Shower in bathroom is very, very small but functional. Breakfast is pricy for a pretty small buffet so I think they expect you to order off the menu. Wait staff does not like to be rushed when asking for the bill.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a triple room which was a king bed and a single room with a door. Plenty of room and privacy for 3 people. The room paid homage to the traditional architecture of a canal row house and was very comfortable. The location was convenient so it was very easy to walk around. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer!

The staff were amazingly friendly, very personable. The location was excellent, close to the heart of Amsterdam, but away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast is excellent value for money, everyone should consider this, and up in the room, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great views from the room, hard to fault.

Location is perfect. Beautifully kept hotel with very comfortable rooms. Mattresses are a little soft for my liking. The staff are welcoming, warm and very professional. This is my new home when visiting Amsterdam, which is very often.

Art works of COBRA artists - in the lobby and restaurant. Nice and clean, location in the heart of Amsterdam, characteristic building, friendly staff.

Over priced!!! Even for Amsterdam standards, if I compare to many other luxurious hotels in the city. My room was under the attic, all facilities were in place, but 538 Euro for a tiny room, excl. breakfast is out of proportion.

Nothing to complain about

The rooms were beautiful and clean. We had 3 rooms and they put us all on the same floor next to one another. It was a perfect set up. We loved the service and attention to detail the staff provided to us. The bellman greeted us so kindly and always remembered our youngest child's name. The library is a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, the bartender was exceptional and incorporated stories into the drinks we ordered. Even for our kids! This is the only hotel we would come back to in Amsterdam! An absolute must.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff were welcoming , attentive and cheerful. The food in the restaurant was top class and the service was likewise. The library bar was inviting.

The hotel staff are wonderful. Extremely efficient, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are very tight, hardly anywhere to put your luggage; however, it’s a very nice hotel and the location is very nice.
