• Very friendly staff, quick to resolve issues. • Convenient phone numbers for contacting reception; our room had three. • Excellent rooftop pool. A very welcoming and friendly assistant named Guru is at the pool. • The breakfast food was very tasty, with red fish, hummus, and fresh orange juice that you can make yourself. • The hotel is located between the sea and Gallery Mall, each a 50-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride away. • Clean rooms, regularly cleaned. • Very beautiful interior with a bathroom in the center of the room. Suitable for couples. • Comfortable beds. • Large work desk, you can work for almost 8 hours. • Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. • High floors from 1st to 27th. We stayed on the 16th floor, and the views are good, but sometimes you can see the building next to you.

- The soundproofing of the bathroom in the room is poor; you need to be quite close to your partner. - The soundproofing of the room and hallway is very poor; you hear everything going on in the hallway, but not you. - There's a large hole under the door, at least in room 1622, through which a cockroach crawled at night.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially when it came to parking our car. Also check-in and check-out was extremly fast and without problems. They provided towels at the pool, which was very helpful.

There were moments when the water in the toilet just kept going. But then it worked again...

All good they kept my booking active even after late arrival the room was upgraded and breakfast was quite nice, Gym and pool area was very welcoming and car parking was spacious , staff was very attentive

The room had a bathtub with glass and I could not use it as my 17 year old kid was with me

The room was large and well maintained. I liked the pool and sauna. But most noteworthy was the breakfast - one of the best I had anywhere.

I'd like to suggest providing towels at the sauna as it wasn't clear whether one should use the pool towels or room towels.

The facilities and the service provided by staff was exceptional. The Breakfast Menu was elaborate huge variety to satisfy taste buds and the food was also Good. Overall good experience.

Room was clean and well furnished. All necessary facilities was there, including safe box and kettle.

A bath was allocated in open area and such room could not be suitable for families. Restaurant food was basic.

The staff were amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Especially the life guard at the pool. The gym was great.

The comforter was too hot.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. From the minute you walk in, the staff is one of the friendliest you will ever encounter. They were so gracious in getting us a room even though we were extremely early. And it was really nice getting to know each of them throughout our stay. Definitely have breakfast.The options are fantastic and have at least one of your meals.At the restaurant, the food will not disappoint. A very special thank you to Mr Ahmed, Mr Asad and Mr Rakshith. We wouldn't have had half as good a time without all of your help!! Your kindness and helpfulness will forever be appreciated.

The hotel is of a very high standard. The staff was friendly and helped us with everything we needed, including recommendations and assistance with booking taxis. The breakfast was varied, the room was large and comfortable, and the hotel offers many additional facilities such as a gym and a pool - definitely a plus.

The location is not the best, and the room cleanliness could have been better.

The hotel is more than 5 stars, despite the fact that I paid for 3 nights and my work is finished before my stay leaving two nights free lol but I advise you to go visit this hotel it is very interesting and clean

Nice hotel, all the facilities needed, kind personnel, parking facility, very good buffet menu, both for breakfast and dinner. We really loved Jarina ... and she loved us. Very attentive and always ready to help, with a natural smile on her face.

Breakfast was fabulous. We got an upgrade to a suite. Rooftop pool perfect!

Excellent staff

I’ve stayed here many times over the last 10 years as I pass through Abu Dhabi. This was my favourite stay. The receptionist, door men, housekeeping and room service was great! Definitely improved from my stay 3 years ago. A pleasant surprise. Thank you!

The bathrooms were transparent, and no locks on the bathroom doors. It is not super efficient for families with kids.

Front desk staff very efficient and welcoming. The conserge and car parking arrangement was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and all staff were very welcoming.

We stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi for one night on a business trip. The room was nicely designed, well-sized, and offered all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Overall, it was a good experience, convenient, clean, and well-suited for business travelers.

Superb location as base for work, Cultural District and walking the Corniche. Very spacious rooms, excellent breakfasts and such friendly staff.

I mistakenly book a room which is smoking , at the desk I was told that there were no longer non smoking rooms . I was about to cancel the reservation however a gentleman at the reception stepped in a resolve the matter very promptly. Thank you for that

Very nice hotel. Spacious, modern, comfortable. Well located, near to the beach, Corniche. Wonderful staff in M1 resto and M3 resto. M3 resto delicious, I loved really my dinner. Great pool. Overall, I loved that hotel and I would come back again. So meet you guys in December!

All is good

The shower head was a bit dodgy, should be replaced! But the rain shower worked well. The rubber edge of the shower door doesn’t block the water from spilling outside the shower cubicle.

At the accommodation, we really liked the luxurious room – it was very nice and always thoroughly cleaned (especially by Phurpa Sherpa, who pleasantly surprised us by folding the towels into swans). The bed was large and comfortable, there was both a shower and a bathtub, it felt like a very safe place, and we also appreciated the big TV. We also enjoyed the pool a lot. The lifeguards were wonderful (especially Guru and the Bell Boy). We even took a photo with Guru and will always remember him fondly. The reception was very pleasant as well – Alice and Kal always arranged everything we needed and were helpful throughout our stay. Another highlight was the varied and delicious breakfast.

The only minor drawback was the leaking shower enclosure, but it was easily managed by placing a towel in front of it.

Rooms, sauna and pool were great as was overall Hotel.

The breakfast was terrible. Food wss cold and.dry - had been left out far too long. For $100 dirhams is excessive for a great breakfast but felt truly ripped off given the poor quality

The parking garage is not well maintained and scrap materials are stored there. The room design is not good enough as the toilet and bathroom are all open to the room.

Location, cleanliness and size of room

I stayed for 4 nights, i required to change towels atleast once a day .They didnt change my linens and towels as requested. There is a feel of old hotel from the dirty corridor carpets and dark hallway it was dull walking to the room it didnt smell pleasant. The room felt dark and lighting wasn't good. The carpet there too was old and dirty I wonder if they ever clean them. They need to renovate and make it more brighter and modern with a welcoming feel. AC was not cooling enough i had to put temp to 15 degrees I could smell stench from other rooms through the AC.

I stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi for a short getaway (1 night, 2 days) and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is spotless, and the room design was excellent with both a shower and bathtub for extra comfort. The staff were very professional and friendly. In fact, after I checked out, I realized I had forgotten an item in my room. The room service team contacted me, and two days later I was able to pick it up safely — I truly appreciate their honesty and follow-up. Breakfast and dining were fantastic, and I also enjoyed the rooftop pool and sauna — both were amazing. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Abu Dhabi and very close to the Corniche. I would like to sincerely thank everyone at the hotel, starting from the security team to the reception and room service staff. Their efforts made my stay memorable. Highly recommended!

The only thing I would have preferred is a better view, as the room overlooks the city and not the sea.
