All in all it was quite good

The room was clean and spacious

Great hotel overall - comfy rooms, good pool and gym, breakfast was pretty good too.

The food at the bar on M3 was horrible (chicken burger) and when I told them so they offered to give me something else (chicken tenders) which was equally horrible they insisted that I paid for it.

Luxury hotel for affordable price. Nice breakfasts. Good service. Beautiful parks and Gulf embankment are nearby, as well as the city-centre. Sauna and hamam (small cabins, but better than nothing).

Area is a little bit noisy and polluted, there is a gasoline station just in front of. Swimming places are quite far away, but reachable (main public beach with transparent light-blue water is ~30 min by feet through pleasant avenue). Roof swimming pool is pretty small and unheated.

Very spacious and nice room with perfect cleaning every day. Great with a kettle and generous amount of coffee and also water bottles.

The view from the room was a big disappointment, there was no view. I asked several times about the possibilities to change room to get a view but got the same answer every day - no, try again tomorrow. The gym was very worn out. The location of the hotel a bit off. Late checkout for more than an hour is only valid at a cost - one receptionist gave me the offer of 50 AED, another said I had to pay half of a room rent… Using the pool, gym and fitting rooms after checkout was free though, I chose that.

Very friendly stuff, everyone endeavours to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The breakfast room was a bit small for the many people, the buffet was always a bit crowded. The extra bed we ordered was not very comfortable, you could feel the wire mesh in the mattress when lying down.

What I loved the most about the Southern Sun Hotel was its fantastic restaurant, which offered a wide variety of delicious dishes to suit all tastes. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Addition, the hotel’s location was perfect, being close to the corniche and many restaurants.

Got a 15% discount for breakfast and food on booking. But could not use any time other than on checking and could only book everything then. Disappointed as don’t know what or when you’re going to want when staying for 3 nights.

Clean spacious rooms with huge towels and many comfortable pillows for the mattress. Many free shuttles to get to major attractions. Great breakfast spread.

When you shower; the water can run out to the basin area and wet the area. No toothbrush, comb, cotton buds, dental floss that normally would be available in such hotels.

More of an old fashion hotel, but still has good technology and amenities. Food was nice via room service. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Slept very well, also spacious rooms, quiet. Lighting is also very good.

Staff were great and helpful. Location is ok. If you want to go to some spots, take a taxi is good option. Most of them are not reachable by walk. Room is spacious. Toiletries are ok. WiFi is fine. Pool at rooftop is great. Go there earlier if you want to get a sun deck 😅 gym is also good. I arrived a little bit earlier but they offered me a quick and early check in, process was smooth👍🏽

I ordered an in-room dining buy food was not good and very salty 😢 Water go out of shower room while taking shower so I had to use another towel to stop and dried. I noted from reviews and it did happen. Need to fix it.

The hospitality and attitude of the staff at the hotel, they were very welcoming. The reception area was great and calm.

The poor wifi connection. I had to pay extra money for the use of an ethernet connection in one of the business room to get an average connection despite the hotel advertising high speed connection. The swimming pool was still in repairs with new tiling which affected our stay. The bathroom and showers are transparent that our children and their friends felt uncomfortable sharing their rooms.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. We booked a smoking room by mistake, they changed it without any problems. Free shuttle service to Yas Island where the parks are located.

Located far away from the beach without a shuttle service. During our stay there were works at the pool and relaxing there was not really possible.

Parking was an easy access and slots are available anytime i arrived. Reception was very accommodating, ready to serve and I requested late check out without any hesitation giving me 1 hour extra & thankful for that. room was excellent overall, hard to open toilet door but not really a discomfort. enjoyed dining breakfast, had a good coffee, good choices of food, plus service is very good. swimming pool is cold & renovation is on-going, my wife is not very comfortable to swim with workers looking around, but we found a sauna in same area and it didn’t dis-appoint us. Overall experience is 5-star, though we experience a little on the negative side, but their excellent staffs and hospitality experience still pulls my high rating

Location is good. Room was big and beds were comfortable.

The bath was see through and open so if you are with friends you would probably think twice on doing the bath as there would be no privacy. The shower was defective, more water was coming out from the hose than the shower head. There were no bodywash and shampoo readily available. We also had to request for slippers cos there were none in the room when we arrived. We also did not see any flat iron that we could use.

The hotel service and amenities, room was spacious and clean. Irish in front desk was very helpful and made sure I got the best room experience. Housekeeping team were also quick and efficient.

I like that the location is central to a lot of things in abu dhabi. I like the pool setup and I like the view from my room.

the smoke smell on the hallways. the valet can be nice and sometimes not as helpful.

The room had a strong damp smell either from the bathroom or from the A/C that needed cleaning.

It was clean and provided all I needed without any extra facilities I did not need

The roof top pool was very windy so I didn’t use it.

The location was good and the staff were friendly. The process all in all of check in was simple but there was no comms between front desk and accounts so there was a payment confusion that lead to a double charge but it was rectified immediately when i informed them

The mini fridges were not clean; in fact, the shelves on the fridge door were sticky. There was no attention to detail after housekeeping; things were left out of place or drawers opened. A couple of other things i can't recall...
