Top service by staff and very good room setup

One small thing. The bar staff seemed a bit frazzled and unsupported.

Great location. Halfway between the govt. Buildings and the cafes etc. Staff were very friendly.

It was very small but did have a bathroom. Washington DC is very expensive for what you get. Free lobby coffee was only in the morning so we didn’t get any and had none in our room either.

The Hive Hotel was a cute boutique hotel. They have paid attention to detail and the rooms are small but include everything you need. we loved room 501 on the top floor in the bump out part of the hotel .

The suitcases didn't really have a spot to operate out of but you can make it work. There is no coffee in room but they do have complimentary coffee in the bar downstairs all morning.

Great location, the best pizza in DC. Great bar with friendly service and a bit of a view. Check in was easy and they really helped with room selection. This is the place to stay if visiting DC, perfect spot for a good time

The property is modern, stylish, and sleek. The entire staff (shout out to Sunam) are amazing. The rooftop bar has awesome pizza and great views.

The hotel was great — very well located, with friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was quiet, and although the room was small, it was cozy and well equipped. Everything looked just like the photos. Highly, highly recommended!

Great location, everything is new and clean and has everything you would need for a quick stay.

I attended a work event with a colleague and we wanted to share the room so we opted for the bunk bed option. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Free coffee was appreciated and the location is very convenient.

Our room was super clean and staff welcomed us with a big smile ready to answer all our questions. We were given a city guide with useful tips for exploring the city.

Nothing better than a hotel in a central location, great neighborhood vibes, wonderful city and the hotel personnel was fabulous. And definitely the breakfast improved massively after my last time here in February 2024, there's much more options now. I'll come back!!

It was super convenient to all the tourist capital destinations. A few blocks away of walking distance. Considering that, it was reasonably priced. I loved how convenient the bar and pizza shop was so i didn’t have to leave the entire building to look for food in the evenings after coming back from touring the capital all day. Super clean and very industrial interior vibe, loved it. And the front staff members were all super friendly and informative of their community and whats available. For us, it was super helpful when we were able to get local insights so that we could plan our itinerary accordingly and how to use the public metro systems.

The room was very small. Like a NYC style closet size small. There wasn’t a lot of space to unpack. Anyone that gets claustrophobic might have an issue with it. This didnt bother me as much bc i am young and I am used to smaller city life spaces. My mother on the other hand, open country gal, was not fond of the lack of room space lol

i liked that it is in a very good location close to the mall and to Georgetown and to the Metro station. i liked the bar and the pizza in the hotel.

the pizza can offer more variety of foods; there is a limit to how many good pizzas you can eat. why not adding some salads or other Italien dishes, or some sandwiches. Breakfast was surprisingly small and not very good... there might be a good idea to put a small Jym in the hotel. the rooms are fine but need more hanging possibilities or a small closet or shelves.

The hotel is super - funky and interesting. The staff is super polite and caring. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to all major sights in 15/20 min. Just perfect!

The communication between Booking.com and the hotel could have been better for a specific case I had.

Very well located to events I was there to attend at Kennedy Center and Watergaye Hotel - easy 3 block stroll. Also close to Foggy Bottom Metro station for fast, direct travel from/to DCA airport. Plus chill and charming GWU neighborhood. Much nicer food and beverage facilities on site than I expected; next time I'll just partake there! Room was small (as stated) but had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable. And staff was all really really nice and friendly! A great find and value.

Some of the lighting - particularly in bathrooms, both in room and off lobby - really should be brighter. I know Hive is going for a hip subdued vibe, but sometimes you gotta see the details in the mirror! lol

Small room but it’s totally fine for one night. Although the room was very clean, the shower slightly smelled like mold, probably cause the shower floor is a bit old.

There was nothing wrong with this place

Good location, quite close to Metro and within easy reach of many eating options. Walkable neighborhood in the GWU area. Room was comfortable, small but clean. I liked the breakfast options and free coffee, the flexibility of check in and checkout. Staff were friendly. The AC in the room was quiet and there was a good extractor fan in the bathroom, which you don't always get.

No USB ports (not a huge deal), you had to ask for ice from the front desk (I didn't). My room was not wonderfully soundproof - I heard noise from adjacent rooms and the rooftop bar, but not for long, and it was not a big deal.

Hotel Hive has become my favorite place to stay in DC—this was my second time here, and once again it exceeded expectations. A big part of that is thanks to Ria at the front desk. I have rarely experienced such a high level of professionalism paired with genuine warmth. She welcomed me with a sincere smile, patiently answered all my questions and requests, and remained consistently attentive throughout my stay. Her care truly made a difference and made me feel valued as a guest. The hotel itself is excellent: stylish, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Between the welcoming atmosphere, modern comfort, and outstanding staff (with special thanks to Ria), Hotel Hive has earned my loyalty. I’ll definitely be back again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

This hotel is close to my family and is a good value for metro DC. It is clean and has a wonderful staff.

There is no microwave in the rooms, and I found the coffee that they have lukewarm, not hot.

I stayed in 521 and the view was nice, and I loved the little live plant that was in the room. I liked that I was close to the stairs if needed and to the roof top too.

I really wish that there was a drink machine close. I was ready for bed and them I wanted a drink but that meant that I would have to get dressed.

The hotel had great proximity to everything, not too close and not too far. It was the kind of in between a hostel and a hotel. I will be looking for a micro hotel or hive hotel in other cities.

I don't know why I couldn't sit in the dining area with my dog. If it's hotel policy I think that should change.

Great location, nice staff, pretty decor and clean. If you are not going to spend too much time there the buzz rooms are a good deal we took one of the buzz rooms below the reception. It wasn't super noisy but it was a bit small and lacked some details like bed side tables. However it was still comfortable and good value

You don’t come across bunkbeds often and this was very nice traveling with my son. The location was perfect and we could walk to all the main sites.

The breakfast was not good, maybe it was just a one off. The eggs were very dry.

TV wasnt working, and too many noises in the room. The mirror was too small. The corner of the bed it’s really easy to hit by accident, so it could be wrapped in a soft material to avoid injuries.

Excellent location just a short walk to Lincoln Memorial and other attractions. Room on a small side, but clean and new, with a comfortable bed - all you need of you come to hotel just to rest and sleep. Rooftop bar and main bar are very good offering local drafts and cocktails at reasonable prices

Super friendly and helpful staff and vibe at the hive!! Great bar downstairs and on the roof. Funky decor and themed environment for funky younger people on the move. The products in the bathroom were honey delight!

We knew it was an express hotel with small rooms. However, for the price, we thought our room might have a kettle and complimentary coffee.
