The Standard, Singapore

A very nice hotel with good facilities, the pool and bar were especially good. Staff were helpful and the food was good. A great place to stay in Singapore.

It was a little distance to the MRT although there was a shuttle although times weren’t so clear.

Location near to Orchard Rd so great for shopping. New and shiny addition to the Singapore Hotel scene. Very good restaurant , different and interesting options.

Felt the room was smaller than we expected (compared to the Standard in Bangkok) . Also the bar scene was non existent

Staff was exceptional.

Very beautiful hotel. I really liked that they have a Bluetooth speaker to listen to your own music. View was nice looking down to the pool. Their restaurant was also great for lunch. Good WiFi.

There could be one more trash bin in the room. But that’s just a very small detail.

Singapore hotels were a bit busy in the two trips there (Feb 3-6, 10-13) because of the Singapore Airshow, so I had to pick "The Standard" in lieu of my usual hotels. The place seemed a little out of the way, but the shuttle service was mostly reliable, so that worked out ok.

Everything Pool and room fabulous

Really loved this hotel. The rooms are lovely, beds very comfortable, amenities are perfect. Location also great very close to Orchard Road. Was one of the better value hotels on Booking.com.

Very nice design and details

Super luxurious leafy sanctuary for us at the end of our SE Asia trip. Our room overlooking the pool, with huge windows, the pool and service was exceptional. The two restaurants very high quality. Amazing quiet green spaces to enjoy outside.

Exceptionally well-designed. Beautiful poolside where there was always enough space. Stunning grounds and plants.

Hardly any complaints, but being hit with a £300 laundry bill at the end of my stay caused a little bit of pain. If I had known it would be that much, I would have washed everything in the sink! When I first checked in, the hotel desk guy seemed very flustered and unsure of what he was doing. I waited about half an hour before I was able to check in. He did not communicate well.

It was in a good location and had nice outdoor space.

The music by the pool was too loud. The room lacked any proper storage for cloths.

The hotel room is very clean and cosy. The staff were very friendly.

Location isn't the best but there are free shuttle bus for the hotel guests which were very useful.

The well designed, light room with nice bathroom & comfortable bed plus leafy breakfast area downstairs felt exactly right. Nice variety of food choices. Attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful pool.

The room is gorgeous but for two people both travelling with suitcases, it is difficult to make ´living out of your suitcase ´ work.

Sleek, modern and the staff went above and beyond. I also appreciated being given a corner room with a double window. Attention give to every detail in the room and all the interior finishes a lovely stay overall

Rooms where clean, beds really comfortable. We liked the swimmingpool area.

There was no proper closet to store your clothes!

Location was excellent. The shuttle service was brilliant and very convenient to take us to the Metro station.

I had erroneously booked an extra day and requested management for a refund which they did not consider my request for a refund.

Definitely a cool vibe and feels more like a European Hotel. The staff was amazing apart from the people at the check in. They were not really the best at welcoming you.

The staff at the lobby during check in was borderline rude but everyone else was amazing.

Great rooms, well designed, Kaya restaurant was top cuisine, I loved the pool bar !

Location is not in the heart of town but beautiful area

5 night stay, excellent service, comfortable rooms, beautiful design of rooms and property, pool and garden. Breakfast at Kaya and staff there were great. Would stay again for sure.

The only thing we missed was a clothing closet in the room. For longer stays, it’s inconvenient to have to keep opening your suitcase to find your clothes.

The location was great, the restaurant (Kaya) was exceptional, the staff were kind and friendly, the room was cozy and comfortable.

The lack of a wardrobe in my room was quite an inconvenience

We slept very well. A special thanks to Louis at the reception, Mimi from the café and the housekeeper who cleaned our room. Sorry, I forgot his name. - Shuttle Bus service to Orchard centre is a plus.

Public transport such as buses and trains are a bit far, they are east 10 to 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

Could have provided storage space

Staff was great, during breakfast they were very attentive and made sure my wife's allergies were taken care if.

Personal very unprofesional during check out. They didn't know what to do. Breakfast is not good. Swimming pool a litlle bit dirty (fungus). No space for clothes in the room. We found only one under the bed.

Modern and trendy

I was genuinely amazed and in absolute bliss at this hotel. Everything is done to the highest standard for comfortable living and for enjoying every detail. The staff are very welcoming, attentive, and exceptionally beautiful, the beautifully designed green garden feels like a tropical forest with playful lighting and a waterfall, a staircase to the second floor, an excellent bar, a delicious breakfast, and a pleasant pool area. It was the first time in my life that I experienced such enjoyment from staying at a hotel. Everything is perfect, everything is selected with taste and elegance. I highly recommend this hotel as a must-visit.

Design, staff, location, comfort

Super Funky modern space and lovely rooms. Nice bedding and pillows! Pool was good size with a swim up bar! Walking distance to the shopping street. Had a shuttle bus to the centre ICON mall and transit esp helpful if you have bags to carry. Friendly staff (but some inexperienced/need training—unsure of how to help (I came down to ask for ice and young woman at the desk said “I have no idea how to get ice” so I said can you ask someone else? after a minute and she did but it was odd)

Just some staff lacking training—as above and also in restaurant. Everything else was fantastic.
