Attention and care of the staff although it sometimes felt as if they are trying too hard.

Surplus of style in the way the interiors are designed that is not always hospitable and sometimes could actually become uncomfortable. When the style take over function than one ends up constantly servicing it instead of being served by it. To pretend that hotel room is my home is not helping me feeling at home in hotel, on the contrary.

Yes this property is brand new and has a lot of details in terms of design and decor. Picture perfect. I did enjoy the pool, sauna and hammam. Upstairs terrace is beautiful and cute. The bedding was super comfortable. The gym is just a tad too small and a bit dark but functional. Location is right on Gran Via, can’t beat that.

Things that were overlooked and can be a deal breaker for a lot of people: 1. Overall dark in the room and the bathroom. We had the deluxe room 406. Even with all the lights on it was kinda dark. A deal breaker for women that spend 30-40 min on a make up. I couldn’t see if I am applying my foundation evenly, or my blush. A little frustrating. 2. With so many bells and whistles in the room there is no USB ports (at least I couldn’t find). They do include one adapter which can save one person at a time. But you know how we are used to just plugging in the charger in the wall? Well they don’t have that. 3. Pictures show rooms spacious. But they are not, at least the deluxe. It was very tight. I had a luggage and my husband had one and we had hard time moving around with two luggages laying on the floor open. 4. Be aware that absolutely every little thing besides water in your room is extra. And they had a lot of extra stuff: snacks, drinks, various goodies, custom items etc. 5. Gym and pool is not 24 hours. They say it is. I don’t know why. Just say it closes at 8. But they kept saying 24 hours. 6. Downstairs bar: I don’t think they have figured out their cocktails yet because charging €20 for a cocktail I kinda know what it supposed to taste like — heaven! But it fell short.

Nice rooms notwithstanding mine has an arquitectural design that was unfriendly with a long corridor and Riley and bath separated. Breakfast was nice.

Location, Location, Location and the lobby

Aesthetically pleasing, however some finishes weren’t to standard for 5star hotel. I really enjoyed their Spa facilities

Photos showed room type had a small table. Mine did not. I couldn’t work from my room or eat room service in room comfortably, there wasn’t even enough room to bring in a table and sit. I spent around €3000 for a 5 night stay and was disappointed. They offered a meeting room for me to work in but the lights didn’t work in one and the window was broken in the other.

Great modern design of the hotel interior and the rooms. Breakfast is served excellent.

Reception staff are lacking basic customer service skills in being welcoming, friendly and efficient in dealing with the guests and are delivering the level of service well below what would be expected from a five-star hotel. Having stayed at the Paris Brach hotel last on several occasions previously, this has been a disappointment. Location may be convenient for shopping but is in a very busy part of Madrid city centre.
