Location

Location was great as we'd arrived by train and were hiring a car from nearby the next day. Our room on the 2nd floor looked down onto the station concourse which we found fascinating! The double glazing was great as we didn't hear a peep from the station. The mattress was so comfy my partner asked the receptionist if she knew the make (unfortunately she didn't). It was my birthday so we started our evening with a glass of fizz in the champagne bar.

No information folder in the room. Would have appreciated a restaurant menu with times and perhaps a local map or highlights of the city

Cocktail Bar and staff were lovely

Loved the comfortable bed. The bar overlooking the train station was fun! Great location in the train station and close to a great variety of restaurants. Also, easy access to the airport bus!

Location great , food excellent and lovely helpful staff . The concierge went the extra mile as did our charming young waitress who took great care to seat us in a quiet place at breakfast .

We found the ‘ musack’ really horrid - in fact this was the case for out Outer Hebridean holiday . No music at all - or - gentle quiet musical things . Harp, Mozart Debussy . We had a loud trumpeter at breakfast with you and it was unpleasant

Breakfast was good, location excellent.

The thermostat for the heating was not very clear and could have been explained better when I contacted reception, didn't understand how it worked until I was leaving and actually shown by a friend.

Breakfast was excellent. The location is very convenient for train travel and close to downtown attractions.

We liked everything about this hotel.

I booked half board thinking it would be easier and good value. We had a nice room, they upgraded us to a suite.

They allowed us £25 each to use for our evening meal, but the menu was really just a bar snack menu and there was such a great variety of places to eat nearby. The room was lovely, a bit on the warm side for us and no hairdryer.

The location and the decor was nice. The front desk folks, they were always responsive to our requests/meeds. Also that we could open the window a little and that when closed you really couldn’t hear any outside noise.

The hotel is located at the railway station, so it’s very convenient. The room is clean and cozy.

Sound proof is not satisfactory, especially when the guests next door watched Tv from early morning to deep night.

The location is ideal. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the decor is lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. We used the NCP car par nearby and there is a direct access to the station, quite handy. The staff at the check in desk were very helpful.

Plenty of selection well presented wife very fussy about fried eggs likes soft yoke this was not a problem on both mornings food was very tasty

Location of this Hotel was great, Staff was very informative and friendly, the location was perfect and the breakfast was awesome!!!

The kindness of the staff was wonderful and put us at ease for our first hotel stay with our dog.

Would have been nice to be able to secure the curtains back to enjoy the view and allow fresh air in the room.

Everything about this hotel was a positive surprise! A historic train station in the middle of everything! Rooms were large and clean. Restaurant/“Champaign Bar” overlooked the comings and goings at the train station! Staff was friendly and helpful. This was the best hotel we stayed in over the two weeks we were in the UK.

Central location, loved the cocktail bar and over looking grand central station. Rooms were lovely and loved the large mirrored tv, shower was lovely too.

The grandeur, and magnificence of the property, the amicable staff, the location, the high ceilings with floor length curtains, was unmatched in this UK trip.

I like everything with central locality, Comfort in the. Main areas. Clean, tidy, good excellent.

I thought my room would have had a small fridge with the hotel being four star given that it was a premium room overlooking the concourse and good money paid. I also felt that for watching TV rather than having to sit on the hard chairs a more appropriate comfortable sofa would be better. Also felt that Friday night drinkers were rather loud and shared the dining room where I had again paid to eat. It was rather rowdy with shouting and a liyyle too lively for myself so I retired to my room which I did not think was just for paying guests who had been there for five days at this point. Other nights were fabulous to dine and we did that in peace and tranquility.

Excellent staff, big nice clean and quiet room. Would definitely come back again and recommend to family and friends. Slept better there than i do at home :)

Signage to breakfast was lacking and as I would have like to have used the lift , but i could not find it , staff pointed me in the right direction on the wayback Pillows were flat and not comfortable The shower door had a very small opening to get through

Breakfast room was very old and tired looking. Very busy. Toilet wouldn't flush properly. Shower hard to get in and out. We are 60+ and relatively fit but really struggled .

Well located and nice, big rooms. Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Super easy to get to from the central train station, which was really nice as we rode the train from Edinburgh.

We had an accessible room, and the tub felt unsafe to get in and out of. We managed fine, but it was strange to think it was an accessible room. Other than that, one of the desk people gave us incorrect information about the time for breakfast, which was frustrating,

The situation of the hotel is excellent, one main door was in The Railway Station and the other one round the other side in the main street. The hotel is clean a nd tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is on five floors with lifts to take you up. The breakfast was excellent. It is buffet style with plenty to choose from. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

breakfast excellent, buffet well stocked, freshly cooked and good service. Bedroom was spacious, clean with two large windows. Lacked lighting for reading in room. Lighting around mirror in en suite would have been good. Location excellent.

Breakfast provided everything which I expected. The staff explained the layout and kept everything organised.
