Hotel was amazing and will use this hotel again very pleased

Hotel location, got off the train snd walked into the hotel. Allowed late check out just in time to jump into the train back to Edimburgh. Bus stop right in front of the hotel to go to touring without transfer. Shopping a few blocks. Dinner included was a great oerf after a long day.

Excellent location, comfortable and clean rooms. Concierge and reception staff were very professional and helpful.

I loved everything

Beautiful hotel, great location. This was our final stop on a 10 day trip and before flying out of Glasgow the following day so we splurged a little and chose this hotel in the city to do a little final exploring. The hotel is beautifully inside and the room was very well equipped. - Location is ideal - both easy walking distance to the heart of the city and very accessible to public transportation. - We requested a quiet room and were given one on the 5th floor, overlooking the roof of the train station. Very nice room, extremely quiet. - The breakfast buffet included in our room provided a great variety and was very tasty. - We chose to take advantage of the parking offered in a nearby NCP garage on Oswald and Midland - very convenient and only $16 for overnight, quite a deal for being in the heart of the city. It’s simply a quick walk from the 5th floor of the car park through the train station to get to the hotel. - All of the staff was extremely helpful.

Only two small complaints or areas for improvement: 1) The hotel is virtually inaccessible from the street by car, due to bus lanes and the complex maze of one way streets in downtown Glasgow. As a result, our GPS was extremely confused when we entered the hotel address and actually mistakenly took us down a few streets that were limited to busses and taxis. I’d recommend that the hotel provide an address nearby where people can use as a drop off point for check in. OR, provide info on the street address of the assigned car park that they do use. (I’ll admit that I didn’t call to request this at the time). We simply found a car park nearby (Q-Park on Waterloo) and then walked back to check in and get directions. (At that time, Dylan at the front desk did acknowledge that the hotel is very hard to drive to - something that would have been good to know in advance!) 2) upon checking out, we learned that there was temporary road construction on Oswald street and the staff said that “we should be able to get the car out of the garage”. But they couldn’t assure us of that. Not really an option when we had to drive to the airport and catch a flight! While I appreciate that the construction was out of their hands, that wasn’t very reassuring and seemed to put this responsibility on us, not the hotel who recommended this carpark! As it turns out, we got out ok (again, breaking some traffic rules but roads were largely closed off). Maybe the hotel could have placed an employee at the garage to assist guests with this? Or, discourage the use of that lot for guests checking out on that day? These are minor criticisms and meant to be suggestions for improvement on an otherwise very nice stay at the hotel

Location could not be better - right in the train station concourse and an ideal base to explore the city. The hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean, and very well maintained. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed. The bath and shower were fabulous (used both), and I loved the supplied toiletries that smelled amazing. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Great choice of food, and they never ran out - refreshing the buffet right up until they stopped serving. Champagne Central is a must for a cocktail with a view of the concourse - a great place to people watch! After checking out, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge until we did a bit of shopping. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back. We had an issue at breakfast on our first morning, relating to a breakfast item (that the hotel buys in from an outside supplier). This was dealt with VERY quickly. Both the Chef and Manager apologised to us personally, even though the issue was outwith the control of the hotel and no fault of theirs. They were only concerned with our welfare and that was very much appreciated - thank you!

It was very central to everything. The staff were very gracious and helpful. It was very quiet and comfortable. All around an amazing experience!

Room was larger than expected. Staff were outstanding - very helpful, Reception, Welcome drink hostess and the plumber who came to fix a very minor problem.

Breakfast was a little chaotic, people - clients and staff wandering around and getting in each others' way. Food was ok but not very good.

The last time I stayed and booked for two beds it was actually 2 seperate beds, away from each other, now it's basically one big bed with 2 seperate mattresses.

There wasn't a great deal of choice of dinner food in the evening.

Lovely and spacious room on the top floor. We had access to our room early. We were provided with a breakfast to go bag when we left early the following morning.

The bath was very difficult to climber into, as the shower was above the bath. This would not have suited a person with mobility challenges.

It's our go to place to stay in Glasgow. Perfect location, large rooms, friendly staff, wonderful cocktails and breakfast. It's iconic and we wouldn't want it to change.

Tiny details in our rooms on 4th floor that just needed attention but just minor maintenance and we let them know.

The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely and the central location for the city was perfect especially if you arrive by train, we didn't but the car park is also attached to the station and once you master the doors it's a short walk through the platforms to the hotel lobby. The breakfast is well stocked of everything you would expect and very nice .

This is very picky but one of the rooms next to us got up early and the noise from their shower was so loud it woke me and kept me awake, but did get me up early for breakfast 😁

The instructions to get from the parkade to the hotel were very unclear and it is quite far from the hotel.

Good location, staff super friendly, excellent service. Loved that it was pet friendly at no extra cost and they very helpfully provided a dog bed, very close to all the local amenities. Very grand architecture inside, champagne bar has views over the station and the breakfast in the morning (buffet) was very good. Huge selection and all tasty. Made use of the room service also, fast delivery!
