Shoutout to Sami from reception and Amr from the outdoors restaurant. They both were very professional and extra helpful. I also liked coming back at night to see a beautiful red rose in the toilet ( the little things make all the difference ).

Workers should not ask us boldly to scan a code and recommend their names. If I want, it should happen voluntarily. Have some vegan options in the menu or mark the available vegan options with VG.

We loved everything about our stay at the Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah. The location is absolutely exceptional, right on the Nile River. Evenings spent on the river terrace, watching life along the Nile go by, were truly magical. The service throughout the hotel was flawless – attentive, professional, and welcoming. The Sofitel felt like a sanctuary, a calm retreat from the vibrant energy of Cairo city. It’s also conveniently located, not far from the Pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Cairo – highly recommended!

A truly five star hotel. The best location on the river Nile. The staff and the hotel are 7 stars. Your breakfast are just metres away from the river. Beautiful views and relaxing

The staff could not do more for you. From the time of arrival to departure, we were treated like royalty. We received a complimentary room upgrade to junior suite which had a view to Nile. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was first class. We ate dinner at two of the restaurants and again, superb service and delicious food. Staff were never far from you and always checked to ensure everything was okay. On leaving, staff double checked to ensure that our stay was good. Cannot praise reception, wait staff, baggage handlers and all other staff enough for a most pleasurable stay.

Absolute 10 out of 10. 6 Stars service from the Lobby to the concierge to all the fabulous restaurants and cafes to the Famous doorman Youssef, a gentleman of Egypt. We had an absolute ball in Egypt and it was set from our experience at the Sofitel. Definitely will be in our preferred list.

The swimming pool access was not suitable for disability. However the bar area after speaking to management allowed us access which had less steps. There are no ramps at pool area. I did discuss this with management. The staff were more than happy to support you up the steps as their are no hand rails near the access from the bar

I want to thank Shonodah and Zeyad for the amazing welcome and the free upgrade. I usually stay in this hotel since I was young, and it would be difficult to change it because of their quality of service, history of the hotel and the amazing staff. The is a very family hotel.

We were a group of girls who absolutely loved the hotel, staff, and every amenity. The suit was huge and clean and overlooked the lovely Nile. The lovely Natalie at reception gave us an exceptional service and checked on us all the time. It was a work trip so we spent some time at the buisness centre on the 16th floor and they had snacks, light meals, smoking/non-smoking areas and Duaa was beyond amazing and hospitable. The stars of the place though were: Samuel, Amir, and Jamal at the restaurant/bar by the lobby. Not only did they provide amazing food and drinks, but they also helped us with our itinerary and helped us book an amazing Nile trip that was the highlight of our stay. Everyone went above and beyond for us and we left feeling like we were part of their family. I would absolutely back here again and again with my family, friends, and for business trips 💜

The hotel is located in heart of Cairo city centre right on Nile river , very well maintained , very nice outside space with excellent staff. The 16th floor VIP business centre Butlers Mr Mohammed, Mr Yaser were wonderful and helpful. Good beauty hair salon available in the hotel. Highly recommend, hotel duty manager Mr Mahmoud very knowledgeable as well as concierge team!

I stayed at this hotel during my visit to Cairo, and overall, the experience was very good. The location is perfect ideal for getting around the city and visiting the main tourist spots. The pool was also a real highlight: very clean, peaceful, and with a great atmosphere. We also loved the room and the view both were amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable.

the customer service and communication weren’t the best . At check-in, the receptionist told us that breakfast was not included, which was not true I had specifically booked the option with breakfast on Booking. I had to show him a screenshot to prove it, and only after he took a photo of it did he agree to include breakfast. Later on, we added an extra night to our stay, but the same receptionist forgot to activate our key cards for the additional day. When we returned to our room, the cards didn’t work, and no one answered the phone in the hallway. I had to go down 10 floors in person to get new keys. The next morning, when we went down for breakfast, we were told it was not included for that last night. This was confusing, as we had told the receptionist we wanted the same conditions as the previous days obviously included breakfast. In the end, we had to pay for it separately, and it was expensive for the quality and variety offered.

-My room had a panoramic view of the Nile, but balcony has no soundproof glass , There is an outdoor night club next to the hotel play music every night until 3 or 4 am , if you come for bussiness and need to sleep early ,, stay away from the Nile View rooms ! - Bed mattress is slightly hard - Pool is small - Lobbies and restaurants prices are extremely high if you pay in EGP.

The hotel is beautiful, the view over the Nile while eating breakfast is incredible and the service was exceptional. The swimming pool and spa area was a perfect place to relax. There was a live pianist in the foyer which added beautiful ambience. The food at both restaurants I tried was delicious with excellent vegetarian options.

The only thing I could possibly fault would be the water pressure and temperature control of the showers - I stayed on the 19th floor - which were slightly less than perfect.
