The Marriott Mena House, Cairo

Truly a 5-star hotel, in every way possible. Special shoutout to the staff working at Marriott Mena, as they are the best part about this hotel. Everyone is super friendly and kind, going above and beyond to make everyone's stay remarkable.

The room rate in the room was much lower than the price I paid. Seemed very expensive for Egypt as the property is older. Didn’t have a pyramid view room.

We were upgraded to a full pyramid view room. Amazing view from our balcony. Very comfortable beds and pillows. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to relax at their pool area. Very large pool and lots of loungers and umbrellas. Pool a little chilly though.

The bathroom needs to be upgraded. To have a shower you have to step into a bathtub with rounded edges. Very large bathroom which would accommodate a walk in shower.

There was too loud music from I believe a wedding, util 11 PM last night

My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary and we had an amazing time. We enjoyed the ambiance and the service there was exceptional. An experience definitely worth repeating!

* I didn't like that the room was missing toothpaste. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. * I was hoping to be able to book a "hard-drink all inclusive" stay, however, this option wasn't available.

The Hotel is an oasis of calm with good staff and the best facilities in Cairo, the pool area, the breakfast over the lawn, the fact there are no leaves on the grass and its clean.

The Hotel is perfect, Cairo on the otherhand is a box of broken bisquits, its like a nightmare, where they have shot the people that clear the streets and kidnaped the health and safety officer.

A fabulous property, wonderful rooms - we had a partial view of the pyramids from the room, like we requested, and the view was great. Full view of the pyramids was available from the restaurant where you can have breakfast outside looking at the pyramids. This hotel was recommended to us so i booked it and it exceeded our expectations. Great rooms, excellent food for dinner and breakfast, great location, close to the new Grand Egyptian Museum and of course the Pyramids. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Room - Spacious, clean, with an impressive view of the pyramids from the balcony. Very comfortable bed and efficient AC. The room had everything we needed (and more!). Breakfast/Dinner - One of the best buffets I've ever had! Very good staff at the main restaurant (Marian, Amal and their team) were great at anticipating our needs and very responsive to our requests, plus the food was great with good variety (AM to PM, and day to day) and the view of the pyramids from the main restaurant is fantastic (couldn't quite get used to it!) Location - A 5-minute walk from the pyramids - couldn't get any closer! It's about a 45-minute drive into downtown Cairo, which wasn't too bad for the museum/Nile trips. Property - Beautifully manicured landscape, great for strolls. The pool is heated and provides a nice hangout spot. The property has a well-stocked gym and a nice spa (complete with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) which offers a menu of treatments (good value for money). General - Hotel staff were very helpful with airport transfer, ordering taxis and dealing with enquiries and requests. Concierge services made our stay a lot easier! There's both an ATM and a bank on the property which can do cash currency conversion and card withdrawals, which was really convenient.

Look out for the birds at the main restaurant; they are cheeky and quick!

I picked Mena House because it was the place for the “Cairo Meeting” for Roosevelt-Chiang Kaishek-Churchill in 1943. The other reason is I wanted to take pictures of the Pyramid Khufu and Khafre while having breakfast. Both objectives accomplished!

The bath towels are too old and don’t look clean or fresh!

It is quiet and the proximity to the pyramids. You have the nice view inside the hotel.

It is dated but given it is the 100 year old property. It is far from city center and transport it’s a bit complicated in Cairo.

Location amazing. Executive lounge very good. Restaurant opposite pyramids :wow Late check out until 4 pm.

Executive rooms which inc food/drink were good but prices so cheap that the extra paid was not warranted.

Great location Don’t need a guide to visit the pyramids - just walk the 2 mins!

Their tour company I wouldn’t use, overpriced and not great The taxis they offer are 3x normal price we found (Uber and booking.com taxi was better)

The hotel is one its kind because of the unique view to the pyramids day & night. It was a very pleasant surprise that they prepared a birthday cake for us. The staff was very attentive and the Spa is highly recommended.
